Updated articles in Not schowing in viewer app
When I update an article of my folio in InDesign CS6 and update in the Folio Builder panel, and then hit update in the Folio Producer still the old article shows up in the downloaded issue.
When I check folio producer everything seems fine.
I do get the notification that an update is and that is downloaded fine.
How can i get the updated articles to show up properly in the published folio?
InDesign files were checken and are fine...
Recheck if:
1. It was published as Public and Free.
2. There is no duplicate product id.
If that does not resolved the issue, try unpublishing and republishing the folio.

Thanks for the reply Bob. But that is crazy! Our app relies on the user being able to see some of the content for free! In the case of this guide we've produced, the iPhone audience is potentially bigger than the iPad one. Please consider stronger iPhone support (including standalone iPhone apps)

Update button does not appear beside the app in Updates in App Store
We have an issue where the app store icon says that I have 7 updates. When I go to the updates area, the list of apps show up at the top of the update area, but the button that says UPDATE is missing and there is nothing there.
We can't find the app on my ipad, but when I search for it in the search bar, it shows ups. I have attached a screen shot of the App Store.
We have reset network settings, signed in and signed out, restarted, and gone to purchased apps, and nothing works.The screenshot is a bit old (like a month, but it's still the same problem), but I will attach one from today.
This screenshot is of the purchased apps page, where you can see that some are blank, some have the cloud, and some say OPEN, and others are blank.
We have closed the app store, signed out and signed back in, shut off the ipad, turn it back on, reset settings, etc -
Updates tab not working in the App Store
The updates tab is not working in the App Store. I have to go to purchased tab to find the apps that need updating. How can I fix this? I've turn off the iPad multiple times hoping it will reboot but it doesn't help.

Folio producer tools update required to use folio builder but content viewer app not available
Hi,
I have a problem with DPS Folio Producer tools.
We are unable to use Folio Builder to update our iPad presentation to the cloud because we keep getting this message: An update is required to use Folio Builder. Please click here to download Folio Producer Tools.
We have previously done this only to discover that the new version of Folio Producer Tools is incompatible with the Content Viewer and the new Content Viewer app is not yet approved, or available from Apple.
So we have done a rollback to a previous version of the Folio Producer Tools which worked for a few hours, but is now prompting for the update again - but as explained above we cannot download the update until the Content Viewer app is available.

You are not free anymore to use the tools you want, you must follow Adobe's decisions to update online apps.
Online apps are everything but good.
You will have to wait until the Viewer gets approved by Apple.

Im trying to update my apps and it wont let me. When i clicked on an app to update it or to download a free app it says "sign in required, tap continue and sign in to view your billing information" when i did it says "you must verify your payment info before you can makes purchases" then "security code is invalid" when the security code is valid. I even switched credit card it keeps saying the same thing....... THIS IS NOT FAIR........ I WANNA UPDATE MY APPS!!!!! Btw idk why did i buy the ipad for, APPLE dont even let you download ADOBE FLASH PLAYER and must of the games required ADOBE FLASH PLAYER to play example: wizard101. Idk what i was thinking...... :(
Why not simply remove yoru payment info by selecting None at top?

How can I update the "Last Saved" time of individual notes in the Mail app
I have about 30 notes in my Mail app, which I conveniently sync to my iPhone via iTunes.
Problem is, the iPhone only sorts by modification date, whereas I want them sorted alphabetically.
If I knew where the individual notes files were located on the Mac, I could write a simple shell script to sort them and then touch the files to update the modification date.
I look in user/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Notes.mbox, but the individual notes files don't appear accessible.
Does anyone have any idea how I can accomplish what I'm after?

I downloaded Yosemite and now my iPhoto has a bar across it and will not open. I need to update to the latest version. The app store says the latest version is not available in the Canadian Store. What can I do.
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

App update page will not open,help.
When using the app's store update in which it says there is 3 updates, the update page will not open, just a blank page, can anybody help?
There is a problem with Apple’s servers that only they can fix. The problem has been going on for several days. You can try rebooting first and see if that gets the apps to show up in the updates tab.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
This is a workaround only and not a fix. If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
Select update on the Apps
Hopefully the red notification number will go away after the updates are applied.
Another option is to update your apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the updated apps to the iPad.
1. Launch iTunes
2. Click on Apps in the list under the Library heading in the left Sidebar.
Click on Updates at the top in the window on the right
Update all of the apps
Connect your iPad and Sync with iTunes
If you do not see the sidebar in iTunes 11 - go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu at the top. -

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Updating viewer app to include entitlement
We currently have a multi issue app working nicely in the app store. The learning curve being we were prepared to give away some content while we fine tune the how we work and how DPS works. We have a large subscription base and are in the motions of incorporating an entitlement call to allow current subscribers free access leaving the old freebie isses available for free. I am in the viewer builder and am trying to update our app for new tool sets, bookmarks etc with the main aim to incorporate access and entitlement.
The problem is when I try and start a new update to the current version I assume I should be changing the viewer type from the current "multi-issue" to "multi-issue with entitlement and access and entitlement" but this option is greyed out unless I start a brand new build.
This is not something want to do as we have shared the iTunes URL and the current issues (about 12) will need to be re-uploaded again. (of which I dont have all the files)
SO......how do I update my current multi viewer app. to one that includes entitlement?You can't use Edit to change the viewer type. You need to use New and create a new viewer (then delete the old instance to keep things tidy). When you do this, you don't create a different app. If you use the same credentials when you build the viewer, it will act as an update to the existing app.

I have had to open a new account, however, there were App updates that did not get installed before I opened the new account. Therefore, when I try to do the updates, it's is asking for the sign-in and password for the old account, which I do not have this information.
All apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and is not transferable.
Delete these apps and download them with the new Apple ID. -
My update all button will not work in the app store. It keeps giving me a crazy message about not having enough storage to update apps. Please help? I know i have storgage on icloud and on the phone itself. Any ideas? Thanks
Try deleting the old backup.
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the device name and on the resulting screen, scroll down and tap on Delete Backup.
