Updated creative cloud and everything disappeared, running windows 7 64 bit

I updated creative cloud on my windows 7 desktop, this failed with error code 50, cancelled the update, then tried again this time the update went ahead as normal however on completion. All my creative cloud short cuts etc had disappeared and windows told me that the creative cloud exe file no longer existed.
Ok I thought I will reinstall and take it from there, however the CC web page will only allow me to repay[my next subscription is not due until June, so that is a no no,] the question is how do I get CC back my copies of Photoshop and Lightroom appear to be working normally and tell me that they are up to date Help

Negative to the cleaner, as I have no problem with anything else but CC desktop app and that isn’t anywhere to be seen, therefore nothing to clean, I don’t even know if I have the cleaner installed ?, I am just a keen amateur who likes using LR mainly and my nik plug in collection occasionally, this is just a nuisance to me, I only use the desk top app to update when it reminds me to, as I have lightroom 4 anyway and have hardly used Photoshop since I took out my subscription last June, it may pay me to just upgrade Lightroom when my subscription finishes I certainly don’t fancy having to run any chance of using a cleaner and losing my plugins, backing everything up etc, especially when the website isn’t user friendly as regards trying to re install the desk top app.
Thanks for your time anyway, sorry it couldn’t be a quick fix.

    I updated the app as it insisted and once it got to 100% it completely went and i cant even find it on a pc search, its also no longer on my apps screen, anyone know whats happened?

    It shouldbe showing as a tiny icon in the system tray - and look like this (with or without the exclamation mark)
    It is supposed to be a picture of a cloud.
    If the icon is not showing, run Cloud from the Start Menu by typing in "Cloud" then click on "Adobe Creative Cloud".
    A Panel will appear and you then click on the "cog Wheel" as shown below:
    Select "Preferences" from the menu which shows, then make sure all four oiptions are ticked.
    Then close this panel via the "X" at the top right. The icon should then be showing in the system tray
    as mentioned earlier.

    Found the solution.
    I did a search on my system for the missing MSVCP110.dll file and found it in the SYSWOW64 folder and not System32 folder.
    I copied the file and pasted into System32.
    I opened command prompt and did the following:
    start>>program>>acessories>>command prompt
    or
    start>>run
    run the following command:
    regsvr32 msvcp110.dll

  • How to update creative cloud without admin rights / workaround / windows 7

    one of my co-workers is running creative cloud on a PC / windows 7.  we're using typekit fonts in our AI files. 
    seems creative cloud wants to update pretty often, like every week.
    THE ISSUE(S)
    the user can't update it themselves without getting IT to login as admin to the PC.
    we can't access the typekit fonts without the creative cloud app running.
    we can't run the creative cloud app until we run the update (the updates are forced)
    it's a major hold-up for us, as the team can't work on a file properly as the fonts are missing w/out CC running.  and we can't update CC without IT.  and we can't run CC without updating. 
    is there any workaround for this?  can the CC updates be "turned off" or sceduled once a month or something like that?

    This is an excellent point – all other updates in Creative Cloud are unforced and up to the customer as to when they are installed...  The Creative Cloud Desktop app should be as well.
    Hope Adobe can change this.

    Hi, updated win8 to win8.1 and as always updated creative cloud, was it because of these updates creative cloud constantly sign off, which means I need now to enter every time my log ing info and accept terms and so on (which is highly annoying to do it every time, you turn on any adobe program)?

    You should be syncing your contacts/calendars to your computer regularly ( Outlook for example).

    EVERYTHING on your iphone should always be on your computer as well and included in your regular backup copy of your computer.

  • Mac - after updating creative cloud, all apps have disappeared from "apps" and attempts to install hang for long time.

    I recently updated the Creative Cloud app, and suddenly I get a message that I have not yet downloaded any apps. They are all right there in my applications folder, but not in my CC desktop app. When I attempt to install any app, it hangs at 40 or 42% forever..... Please help.

    I'm not sure what browsers and firewall have to do with this issue. I have been using Creative Cloud as a desktop app since first subscribing to the Adobe Creative Cloud, and downloaded all of the apps that I use on a daily basis way back then. The only change between seeing all of my apps and not seeing any of them was updating the actual Creative Cloud app itself. There were no other changes. Here is a screen shot of what I saw when attempting to update Acrobat. Below that are two screen shots that may be a signal that my Creative Cloud app is corrupt. Please let me know how to proceed.
    This hung at 42% for about half an hour....
    This seems quite odd....
    InDesign seems normal...

    As we understand you want to upgrade to Creative Cloud first then want to upgrade the OS to windows 8.
    We will suggest you that first upgrade the windows to windows 8, then try to install Creative Cloud. which is also recommended
