Updated iOS 5 in the shop but now won't sync my computer in my iPad2 pls some help

I took my computer for service,,,,at the same time I asked at the technical support if they can update the iOS 5 on my iPad until my computer is ready,,,,well I have updated the iOS 5 but now I have my computer back it won't sync ,,,going to the option Seetings of the iPad / General /iTunes WiFi Sync ... There is a place where says "Sync Now" but this option won't work when I tap on it is like its blocked somehow,,,more down says
Sync will resume  when "Service 1-PC" is available
So I supposed this "Service 1-PC" is the computer where they updated my iPad into iOS 5 ,,,,,how can I erase this device detected from my Ipad2 ?? To be able  to sync w/ the iTunes of my computer?? ,,,,, pls some help to get activated the option SYNC NOW.....I'm new in this word of tablets thank you very much

    Please help....
my itunes is up to date and I have restarted my computer.

    Hi,
    Setting up syncing
Before setting up syncing you should download and install the latest version of iTunes. Wi-Fi syncing requires iTunes 10.5 or later and iOS 5 or later. You can change your sync options at any time. Each time you sync, content is synced between your iOS device and computer to reflect new, updated, or deleted content.
    USB syncing
    Open iTunes.
Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable and select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side. Some tabs may not appear if you do not have corresponding content in your library. For example if you do not have any podcasts in your library, the corresponding Podcast tab will not appear.
Click Apply, in the lower-right corner of the screen, to sync.
    Wi-Fi syncing
    Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
    Hope this helps

  • Settings the same but now won't send

My G5 died last week and while I wait for my new iMac to show up I have been working with this old G4 PowerBook. Getting tired of checking four email accounts on four different webmail sites, I decided to enter all my Mail settings into this PB's Mail program.
So I went to my iPhone (that is setup with all the email accounts as per the now-dead system and works properly) to copy the settings off of that. Even though I duplicated the settings from the iPhone I am unable to send any mail now except through my dot-mac account. I am receiving mail just fine. I later followed the instructions from Google as well as this forum on setting up my gmail account to no avail. Nothing I do is working.
Now, I have both drives available to me from the dead G5 (the logic board had fried but the drives/data are fine) so I have the original--and working--settings somewhere on there. So the question is can I somehow access those settings and apply them to Mail on this computer? Can I expect that to work when the settings shouldn't be different that what I have set up currently? Is the fact that this PB is running on Tiger when the G5 was on 10.5 an issue?
Any assistance in helping me avoid returning to webmail would be appreciated (I have resorted to sending everything out through the dot-mac account but, ya know, not always the best alternative).

If you are able to receive e-mails fine then the problem is your outgoing mail server setting.
Open up mail and goto preferences in the tabs that open up go into accounts.
On the first tab *Account Information* have a look at your *Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)* that is where your problem is at.
You have a relay issue, you may have to make it use a particular server with password or not. I suspect you have to un-tick the check mark saying use only this server.
If you concentrate around that area you will solve your problem.

  • My iPod had music on it previously from my old computer but won't sync the new music I bought on my new laptop? The songs I bought appear in the library, but they won't sync onto my iPod?

I'm going on a hike tomorrow with my dad and I'd been reluctant to download iTunes on my new laptop but finally decided to install it so I could have new music for the trip.  I bought nearly ninety new songs, all of which appeared in my library, and on my account they are shown with my old songs.  But my iPod isn't syncing the new music?  Really I planned to start from scratch and not have them together, but that would be fine if they would just download.  I don't understand.  They're in my library, but won't download to my iPod.

    Hi avmary11,
If your are having issues with your iPod not being recognized by iTunes (but it is being recognized by the computer), you may find the following article helpful:

    Read: iPad Troubleshooting Assistant
That procedure eventually leads you to the need to restore it.
Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. Be patient since it sometimes takes several of these attempts before you are successful.
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the iPad in iTunes and choose "restore from backup". This assumes you have a backup. If you do not, you will have to download all your purchased iTunes content again. You do not have to pay for anything you already purchased.
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help.

  • I was trying to update to iOS 6 then I thought it was done so i left the wifi but now my screen turns blue and i cant use it.

I was trying to update to iOS 6 then I thought it was done so i left the wifi but now my screen turns blue and i cant use it.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I used to be able to download temple run onto my iPod 2nd generation. I then had to restore the iPod but now I can't re-download temple run onto it. It says you need a higher ios number. Is there anything I can do to get it back?

I used to be able to download temple run onto my iPod 2nd generation. I then had to restore the iPod but now I can't re-download temple run onto it. It says you need a higher ios number. This is the same with many other apps as well and not just temple run. Is there anything I can do to get them back?

So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version).  They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder.  You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE:  An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1.  If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original).  I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer.  When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone.
