Updated iPad to iOS 5 iCloud and iPad completely restored. All previous apps are gone.... Do I have to buy these apps again?

Just updated to ios5 iCloud and iPad completely restored. Do I have to pay for the apps I did buy previously or can they be restored? I do not want buy them again!

In iTunes (after signing in) click on STORE>iTunes Store on the left side. Then click on App Store, then on the right side you will see APP STORE QUICK LINKS. Click on Purchased and you will be able to download anything you have purchased before.

That means you have not a backup before accidentally restore your new iPhone 5.
So you should recover your new pictures and info with a third recovery tool.

Are the bookmark backups gone from the profile? I would try restoring them first before anything else. The profile for Firefox is in the Library for the user account. The easy way to find the profile is to click "Troubleshooting Information" in the Help menu and then click the button "Show in Finder". It is possible to backup bookmarks to another directory outside the profile from the Backup and Restore button in the toolbar in the bookmarks library window. That way you have a backup set of bookmarks you can restore even if the profile goes missing.

All of my apps are gone, and I'm having trouble with iCloud

Let me preface this by saying that Apple made me change my password a few days ago, before I downloaded the new IoS software. So I synced my music, videos and apps to my PC this afternoon before downloading the new software. I downloaded the software, and now my apps are missing from my iPad AND my PC, even after I synced them. To make things even more confusing, when I entered my new password, it said it was invalid. I entered my old one, and it worked. No apps there. And I tried verifying my Apple ID, I clicked the link and filled out the info, and it said there was already a user with my e-mail. I'm trying to re-access it, and it says it still hasn't been verified on my iPad. What do I do?

That's because your son's ID was used to make the purchases. ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

Restore. Everything is restored except the password. Note that a Restore can take quite a while. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. I have updated my itouch to version 4.2 and now all of my apps are gone. I have sync'ed the ipod to my pc, but my apps didn't show back up on my itouch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible that you accidently pressed 'restore' and not 'update' in which case the iPod Touch was restored to original software and the apps were not synced back on as you probably did not restore from backup (if you had a backup). Make sure that iTunes thinks it should sync apps as trrlightning suggested, and check to see if you are able to download apps onto the device wirelessly using the App Store App.

I can not create an event and all my appts are gone

I have an ipad mini and noticed all my calendars are gone. I have no icloud appts or anything. My iphones are fine so Im not sure what happened. Went to create an event and the + is gone. Any ideas?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Offand, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If these do not solve the problem you can restore from a current iTunes or iCloud backup.

My Ipad Screen got struck and Ipad is not working and not allowing to shutdown also.
Only SIRI is working. and that also not able to open any app. Today Morning I updated IOS 7. It was working fine for a while. WHen I tried to Minimize one of the app using fingers by multi touch it got struct. Now neither app closed completely not screen is moving. Just got struck.
Please check regarding this issue and provide me solution

Usually 'authentication required' means that you need to submit a username (or e-mail address) and password to the e-mail server, when sending a message. This logic is not different between Outlook and Thunderbird, and even with the latest and previous version of Thunderbird.
Of course you can try the previous version again to see if it solves the problem, although you'll be less secure because you would be missing the latest fixes.

Try double tapping with three fingers and see if that reduces the screen image. If it does, unlock the iPad and go to Settings>General>Accessibility>zoom>Off. If double tapping with three fingers doesn't work, try triple tapping the home button instead.

If it's showing the connect to iTunes screen then you will need to do that.
But Apple don't provide any method to update the first gen iPad to iOS 5 (nor do they support downgrading the iOS version).

Did you by this iPad new? Or used? If it was a used iPad, you'll need the Apple ID login for the original owner. If you bought it new, contact AppleCare with proof that you are the original owner and they may be able to help you.

Try resetting your iPad:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings.
