Updated iPad3 iOS software and now need an unknown passcode?
I updated the iOS on my fathers' iPad3 and now the iPad is asking for a 4 digit passcode?
He is 72 years old, he has never had a passcode for it before. The iPad has never been synched to a computer because he doesn't have one.
We don't want him to lose his data. He has hundreds of photos on there that would be devastating to lose.

It's not good enough for Apple to simply shrug responsibility of something like this happening to an non-tech-savvy elderly citizen who has tried to update his iPad in good faith and will possibly now lose precious photos of family. We really do need an answer please?
During the setup procedure for iOS 7 it recommends that you setup a passcode to protect your iPad. Although you can bypass this step you apparently assigned a passcode of some sort. If you do not know what it is then you have little choice but to use recovery mode:

The camera roll is backed up in the automatic iCloud backups so, if iCloud back ups were turned on, photos can be recovered from the most recent backup.

I updated my iTunes Software and now I cant burn CD's anymore.
I need help. I updated my iTunes Software and now I get this:
"The Registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes"
Disc Burner: No Disc Recording software found.
I just reinstalled iTunes when they changed the entire format about a month ago. And I have had Nero for my burning CDs/DVDs for years.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process. -

Your WiFi/Bluetooth chip has failed. Bring the phone (and $199 if outside the warranty period) to Apple for replaceement.

Updated to iOS 8 and now I can't get my apps to open
I Recently updated to iOS 8 and now ALL my apps open and freeze or just quit out instantly I've let it run flat, restarted it and shut it down for a few hours andit doesn't change anything. And my iPod is really slow unresponsive music plays randomly issue stars randomly clicks lagg out for a few minutes.
the only apps that do work are the default ones that come with iOS 8.
how can I fix this issue ASAP.Try:

If you'll take a look around, almost every 5-10 minutes someone is posting on this subject. I'm personally having the same problem. Everyone (including seniors) is saying that it's just a waiting game. The servers are overloaded, and it because there are millions of people just like us, trying to do the same thing we're doing right now.
Rest easy....I'm coming to terms with it myself. No sense in freaking out. We're either fudged, or not fudged.
