Updated iPhone with photos and most albums are missing
Today I downloaded the latest version of iOS (8.2) and sync'ed up my photo library (about 3600 photos). Now I see that almost all of my albums, about 700 of them, are no longer on the iPhone.
What would cause the albums to be deleted? Almost all of them on in iTunes so it's not as though they're lost, but why would they have been deleted?
BTW, it's a 64GB iPhone 5.
First, thanks for the replies. It's been a little busy so I apologize for the delay. I'm still having problems though and I may have an idea about the problem.
When I connect my iPhone to iTunes the horizontal graph at the bottom of the window shows:
Songs: 162MB
Video: 965MB
Photos: 1.46GB
Books: 72MB
Documents and Data: 135MB
Other: 36GB
Free: 15GB
So, I figure that the reason I couldn't load my music library (~45GB) and all of my photos (~5000 photos) is because of the 36 GB of "Other."
I don't have many apps (only three screens contain all of them), so what is taking up more than half of my 64GB iPhone simply labeled "Other"?

Does anyone have a sticky iPhone since upgrading to ios8? Scrolling is rough in iTunes (horizontal album covers) and on the iPad it's much worse with photo and video albums! iPhone5s and iPad3 retina displays.

I am having some really strange problems with my Iphone with photos and music. In my photos icon I have a bunch of albums but the pictures are all synced to the wrong albums. The pictures are just all mixed up and in the wrong albums. As far as my music problem. In my playlists for my music I am trying to rearrange my songs in a particular order of listening. It lets me do it but when I hit done it randomely changes them in puts them in all different orders. Can anyone help?
This indicates a corrupt file(s). A restore should resolve.

I just updated my iPhone with iTunes from my Mac and the entire contents of the iPhone are wiped. It wants me to reconfigure from scratch but then says there is no simcard inserted so must have wiped that too? I have no Wifi where I am. iTunes will not allow me to access the iPhone either - it can detect it but as it says there is no simcard it wont read it.
Can anyone help I am soooo annoyed!The switch from an available wi-fi network to AT&T's cellular network and back again has always been automatic and seamless with nothing special required - as the iPhone is designed to do.
If the standard troubleshooting steps do not resolve this, which in order are power your iPhone off and on, reset, restore with iTunes, the next step (assuming you are in the U.S.) is calling AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. -
Updated to IOS 5 and app icons are missing
I upgraded last night and now some of my app icons are missing. If I do a spotlight search and find the app I can then launch the app from there but I would like to have the icon back to use rather than a workaround.
After the IOIS 5.0 update my apps weren't showing on my device until I tabbed thru several screens on the phone. The only other issue was when I did a "restore" to new , not from backup because I was issues with the update (Bugs) Did a update and my apps didn't show until I did a " File" ................Transfer Purchases from Iphone.....with the device connected to ITunes...........then Sync................ Just days ago, I downloaded and created folders for 2 batches of photos I downloaded from my camera to iphotos but now both are missing. They were not deleted and even if they were, were not found in my trashcan. I have looked through every folder and they are not there. Is there a bug that can get into iPhoto to do this? Is there a program Apple offers to retrieve lost photos? Thank you.

How do you know they were not deleted? Is it possible that they were moved to the trash and the trash has been emptied, if not by you, perhaps by someone else?
In the best case, you mean they were not deleted from your camera. If so, it will be simple to merely download again from your camera after you have corrected any problem with your Mac or workflow.
If you have a way to be certain that your two folders were not deleted from your Mac, follow the directions provided by your Mac's Disk Utility to repair your Disk (not Disk Permissions.) On more than one occasion, disk repair has restored the visibility of missing folders I knew I had not deleted. If you have trouble with the process, post back which specific Mac OS version ( > About This Mac) you are using so we can offer specific help.
It is also possible that the missing folders might be saved somewhere you do not expect them to be.
It is also possible that they may merely be invisible and, thus, not showing in your Finder windows even after performing a Disk Repair.
Here are some more ideas you can consider:
Restart Mac and then look where you expect the folders to be. They may be visible there now.
If not, try a Spotlight search for the folder name(s) you used. Spotlight may give you a list of places to look. If you don't remember the folder name(s), try a search for the file type your camera uses for saved images. My cameras save "jpg" files, but yours may save other image file types.
You can also open a finder window and use the window's search oval to search. The method allows you to use the search "+" button to add invisible items via the "File Visibility" choice.

If you are using any version of Mac OS X, I doubt this statement can be true.
If you select your disk volume name (not the Media item) in the sidebar of your Mac's Disk Utility, you will see that the number of Folders and files on your disk is very large. For example,I keep my startup disk small and write most of my files to other disks. Even so, my startup disk contains more than 195,000 folders.
If you mean you used some software to search each folder, please post back the name of the app you are using.

I have not had the problem you describe, nor have I heard of such an iPhoto Bug.
I have used every version of iPhoto I have seen including the current new version: iPhoto '11 version 9.5 (902.7). You can find the version you are using by executing the iPhoto > About iPhoto menu command and post it back here.

I am not aware of any Apple apps that work specifically on photo files. If you know the pathname to the lost files, and if you are comfortable with Unix commands, you might be able to use your Mac's Terminal utility to retrieve at least some of your images. However, it will be MUCH simpler to merely download another copy from your camera.
You can search the Mac App Store for "unerase" to find several apps that can unerase files, including deleted photo files, in certain circumstances even after the trash has been emptied. To determine whether one or more of them may meet your needs, see their product info and reviews for specifics about each one.

I just "successfully imported" over 300 vacation photos. It asked me if I wanted to delete them from my camera and I said yes. I've done this hundreds of times over the past several years. Afterwards, I got sidetracked looking in another photo event and then did something on my phone (unrelated) when I noticed my screen went black. I figured I needed to charge my laptop, so I got the cord and plugged it in. After restarting, I went back into iPhoto and under my events there is a thumbnail for each day from vacation, but a generic black and white picture of a palm tree and no pictures in any of the events. My last import is of the pictures I loaded before this batch. I've looked everywhere and can't find them! This has never happened before! Is there any way to find the photos and restore them to iPhoto?
Thank you so much if you can help!!!a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card -- I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
You Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

Most items are missing from BSIS

I'm querying BSIS (direct read from table) via SQ01, and most items are missing. It seems to depend on the general account number: those registered in a profits-and-loss type of account are missing. Those registered in a balance-sheet type of account are here. They're not in BSAS either. Are all uncleared items supposed to be in BSIS? Where can I look for those?

I am finding the ability to download previous purchases now shown on my iCloud account to be difficult. Music appears fine and most movies are OK but I have problems with all music videos included with album purchases. Any ideas?

When i delete photos from photo stream in iphoto .. The pictures are still there on my iphone's photo stream. They are both connected to the same i cloud account.. And i cannot update to ios 5.1 on iphone.. Any help ??

Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.

Updated iPad 2 last night. All movies (9) on my iPad can no longer be viewed. The movie plays but the photos and scene selection are blank. How do I fix this
Quit the app and restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try the videos app again. -
If my iphone, ipad, MAC and macbook pro are all linked, and then I upgrade only my ipone to IOS 7.0, does that have an effect on the linking to my other MAC products. It seems my calendar has lost a lot of information since the upgrade.
If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.

The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.
