Updated iphone4 to new software imessage doesn't work and either does facetime
can someone tell me how to get my imessage to work and facetime .. neither is working since i updated phone. i've tried all the fixes that i've found online even have restored phone. still not working.
Start with a simple step. Sign out of FaceTime and sign back in. Test.

Also when I try to open an app it tells me to sign into iTunes and activate push notifications and it pops up everytime I open any app, and no app tells me I have any notifications I true checking to see if I was signed out but I'm signed in I'm clueless in what to do, and apps suck as snap cat the message comes up every second so I can't even do anything with that app
iPads only support iMessage. You cannot send SMS with any of the native iOS functionality on it. There may be some apps in the app store that will, and certainly several messaging platforms (but read the descriptions carefully).

I upgraded to iOS 7.0 and now my iMessage doesn't work. My phone reads "waiting for activation" When I try signing in I get a message "Could not sign in. Please check your network connections and try again". My network connection is fine for all other applications. Any help?

So changed the password on my ipod touch this afternoon, and eversince then the password is not working. I keep trying the old password and hen the new one but none are working. I know there is a way to unlock it, but that would delete all my stuff and the last computer i synced my ipod to is broken, so ther'es now ay for me to get my things back. Could i have made a mistake when entering the new password?

It's entirely possible. And it sounds like you already know what needs to happen in order to correct it. I'm afraid you won't be able to salvage any data that hasn't been included in your latest backup of the device via iTunes.

If the screen and iPod does not show any life then letting the batter drain will not do anything.
If you tried another cable and tried ReBoot on another computer and still problem then your iPod has to be repaired/replaced

Adobe was running fine, then suddenly it won't run and says I must re-activate Internet is working fine but that opinion failed Tired phone activation and it says the activation number doesn't have enough digits. When asked to connect woth help if says that phone options is no longer available. The web site they give does not work I am caught in an endless loop.

My Firefox 8 Menu button doesn't work and neither does the right click in the firefox window
It seems that all the drop down buttons in the browser, including the bookmarks dropdown menu in the toolbar and the main menu button (firefox button), no longer work. This happened after i upgraded to firefox 8. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times while also deleting user preferences and stuff but that doesnt work. But everything seems to work in safe mode properly. So i disabled all my addons in the normal mode but it still doesn't solve the problem. My right-click doesnt work anywhere in the browser window either. And also, although the menus are not showing, it seems that they are still there because if i click in the area that a button would be in the function activates, this is how i was able to disable the addons.
Perhaps, it's a multi-monitor setup issue. I noticed that the problem happens on my right monitor, but it doesn't happen on my left monitor! I have an nvidia card.

Hello! So I've had my Generation 5 IPOD for nearly two years. Tonight after a shower I tried to charge my IPOD (thinking it had just died because it was short on battery anyway) but it didn't turn on. I would reboot it by pressing the power and home button but sad to say, my home button stopped working about a month ago. : ( After this, I tried connecting it to a charger, two computers AND I downloaded Recboot with the extensions for a PC/Windows, it still did not want to connect. I'm not sure what to do besides maybe taking it to a Apple Store and getting the home button fixed and try to reboot it manually as I always have in the past. Any advice? Right now it's black with no signs of connecting to any machines. If I can't get the home button fixed, could I wait until the battery drains for it to just get recharge? If so how long does it take for the IPOD battery to just die so I can do this? Granted it was always sorta dying before this happened (it was red.) so it shouldn't or wouldn't take too long right?

Send link doesn't work and Mailto does not appear on the applications tab
After reinstalling Firefox twice (Tried two different versions) after my system crashed and then recovered, I got everything working again except the Send Link feature in Firefox. Reading through the forum, I tried to specify my mail program (Outlook) under Tools>Options>Applications; but found no Mailto option shown that I could select. I wonder if some service that this depends on got shut off when my system was recovered.

I changed my main email on my apple ID now when I try sign in with the new email it doesn't work and neither does my old one so I don't know what happened, any help?... I made a new apple ID and on my iPod it tries to use my old one and I can't change it to my new apple ID I've gone on to settings and iTunes and App Store and changed it to my new apple Id yet when I buy apps or try update them it uses my old apple ID I don't know what to do any help??
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If you can't log into Settings>iTunes and App stores with your new ID them mean there is a problem. Try restting the password and try to sign in again.

My IMessages won't work and I keep getting pop ups when I go into apps saying I need to sign into itunes to recieve notifications? Sorry I did mean to say Hub I know about the Hub working without being logged in its just that:
A) when I contacted BT (last Friday) they said that the order had not completed yet.
B) Because of logistics I needed to set up the wifi as soon as I could (its a long story) and something told me to get registered before I tried the Hub in case I had a problem getting connected.
I have tried to contact BT again today and have been on "HOLD" for at least 2 hours finally when I got speak to someone I was told he would have to connect me to a colleague then put me on "HOLD" for 15 minutes then when I was connected to his colleague after telling him all the problems I was cut of I thought that the guy would have had the decency to phone me back but NO so I had to go through all the rigmarole of waiting to try and speak to someone again after being on "HOLD" for 45 minutes I spoke to a lady who said that the problem had been passed to the technical team and that the gentleman I spoke to on Friday should have told me 2 working days and not 48 hours.
The nice Lady said that I should hear something tomorrow (Tuesday) personally I am not taking any bets on it.
Why do these company's like BT promise the Earth and deliver nothing if some one from BT had the decency to return a call and say sorry the problem is being looked into I could have accepted that.
Had a problem with BT in the past when a unknown trailer became dislodged from the towing vehicle the trailer then felled the Telegraph pole carrying our line when we contacted BT to report the "fault" they said they would run a check on the line, they then said the line was working fine and that there was no problem???
Had to wait 28 days for the pole to be replaced.
DS I will go with your idea and send the details to the modarators.

Recently got a new iPhone 5s and the iMessage doesn't work. I tried the sim in another phone and it didn't work either so I put a completely new sim in my iPhone and iMessage doesn't work. It will only work when I use my Apple ID for received messages. I don't know what to do. I have reset everything and it still doesn't work. My software is up to date. Please help!
ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

como lo soluciono?I am having this issue too. After doing all of the suggested ideas I found online, I am still stuck in "waiting for activiation" mode. I live out of the country, and my cell phone is not connected to my carrier's network for the next month (so I really have a glorified ipod touch).
