Updated iPod now there's only 6 songs left

Hi.
I live in the uk and bought my iPod touch from uk, I came to australia on a holiday and connected it to a pc with iTunes and updated it, after the updated I only have 6 songs left on iPod touch. Everything else is there's just not my songs. What do I do.
Any help appreciated.

I found the problem. Plug your iPod into your pc and open iTunes. Once your Ipod is open on iTunes on the navigatoion thing on the left clich on music. Then click settings and change the reserve space from 0 mb to the amount of music space u need for me I used 3GB.
It worked for me so it may work for you

Since I installed the latest version of iTunes I cannot sync new downloads to my ipod. Before I installed this version I had two windows when I attached my ipod to my desktop but now there is only one. HELP

Since I installed the latest version of iTunes I have been unable to sync new downloads to my ipod. Prior to this installation I would get 2 windows when I attached my ipod but now there is only one. The software does not recognise the device (I tried running the doagnostic) but I can see it on my desktop. Anyone know what I can do?

Moving a library: Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. nope all my songs are copied and organized into the iTunes library.

I have a 6GB iPod mini with 647 songs. My file shows that almost all of my memory is gone. I recently used the hard drive function to move my iTunes from one computer to another. Would this effect how much memory I have on my iPod? If so, how can I remove this extra stuff (the stuff tranfered through the hard drive option)?

I use iTunes exclusively. Before I moved the files from one computer to another, there was plenty of room. Now there is not. I assume this has something to do with storing the files on the iPod as a harddrive.

Your drive was used with a PC and formatted NTFS which is proprietary Microsoft format.
You need to install a third party program that will read the NTFS format.
There is various software from PARAGON, Tuxera and NTFS-3G
When you get the data off and have verified it to be good, reformat the drive either HFS+ for Mac use only, or for Mac and PC use then MSDOS (FAT32) for under 4GB files (best) or exFAT (for larger than 4GB files) is proprietary and Microsoft is appling for a patent, which would likely mean OS X won't be allowed to read it anymore without a licensing fee and you'l have to pay another third party software company to read the format, just like NTFS is.
The less you have to rely upon third party sources to read your drives the better, this way if you have a issue and need to read the drive on another machine you don't need the software, and a internet connection and a credit card and...and...and...

Trouble Updating iPod on Home Computer Only

Here is my situation. I just received my replacement iPod and when I got home I hooked it up to my computer and things seemed to be going just fine. It asked for me to set it up and name it etc. I started dragging songs onto it (about 400). When it got to about 200 the window popped up again asking me to set it up, name it etc. I click cancel and the songs were not longer downloading, but it was still connected and seemed to be working fine. Then I tried dragging songs onto it again and the window popped up again asking me to set it up. I clicked cancel and the iPod reset itself and started up in Disk Mode, just awesome. This is the problem I had with the first one. Then when I go to update it using version 10-12-2005 or the 11-17-2005 updater I get a variety of errors, "Can't mount iPod", "Firmware update error", "The attached iPod not supported...etc", and a few others I can't recall. I have tried both the software from the cd and the software from the website both with the same results. I even read that changing the drive letter in Disk Manager could work so I changed it to M:\. So after all this I started to think that maybe its the computer. I just wiped the hard drive two weeks ago and I only have XP Pro and Service Pack 2 install with maybe 3 other programs. When I brought the iPod to work and ran the updater it worked fine with no issues and interfaced with iTunes with no problems either. Am I missing something or are there some steps that I can try? I know it's not the iPod now but something with my computers setup at home is making it wacky. I'm scared to plug in the iPod when I get home for fear it will crash again. I did the iOS5 update and now a lot of my songs can't be located

I updated my iphone with the iOS5 and then it automatically synced to my computer. Now about 600 of my songs won't play in my itunes because it says it cannot locate the original files. I bought the majority of my music through itunes and can't understand why it wouldn't be able to find the original file. Help!

An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Ipod is full with only 143 songs!

My 4GB ipod mini has only 23.1MB left of free space, but it only has 143 songs!!! The majority of my songs are MPEG audio files. I'm assuming that the format is part of the problem. Is there a way to convert the format once the songs are already in itunes? I don't have a way to get most of these songs again! I appreciate help!!! Thanks!

It's not just the codec the file are saved in - check the individual and total file size of the music files.
If your 143 music files are approaching 3.6GBs, then you have them encoded with a very high bit rate. If not, then you may have an iPod memory management problem.
Post back with a bit more details and we can diagnose the issue a bit better.
