in my downloads folder i have itunes64Setup.exe do I just run this ?
or will this overwrite my existing data and I'll have to set up my library from scratch.
as its an ipod classic with 120 Gb of data i'd rather not have to set it up all again

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I have tried to view videos created in premiere elements 10 and I get the following message: "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed. When it opens there is a red screen in the monitor panel with Korean writing which also appears in the place of each clip in the video. If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing
Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling
back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow
glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies
to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of
the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere
Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.

I have just updated itunes and have received the error 'this copy of itunes is corrupted or not installed correctly. Please re-install itunes' whenever I try to open it. I have read a number of replies to other people asking the same question, but I'm not computer savvy and I'm a little lost as to what to do. I went to upgrade itunes and when it finally downloaded, i got the following message: There is a problem with this windows installer. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.
I was advised to unistall the old itune, which i did and then loaded the latest itune 10.5 i think. It dowloaded fine to a point and before finishing, it came up with the same message.

Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

When uninstalling iTunes on your windows computer, there is a specific way it must be done in order to completely uninstall all components of the software. Ensure you follow the article for your correct OS.

i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?

In using it, I found out other's have had this issue and it likely means you have a 3G iPad? If you do, go into settings and turn off cellular data, then try to update again and you should be OK........ -
