Updated iTunes on PC and now no sound comes out.
iTunes already installed on laptop. Updated. Now no sound though volume shows turned up & on. Why? What to do?

I updated iTunes to 11 and now I am unable to delete anything!! Very annoyed and I hate iTunes updates anymore. It shows a cloud with an arrow for me to download and I dont want to download the items..I already have them! How can I delete this garbage??
I have the same problem. It's showing old podcasts that are available for download and I already watched and I don't want to see them again and I don't want them listed in my iTunes. This latest upgrade is a piece of junk so far. It destroyed my itunes podcast listing on my Windows Machine. I have no intentions of upgrading to iOS7 or my Mac until I hear that things are fixed.

Hi I had perches one iphone4 from Hong Kong last month but after coming back i try to restore my iphone but it's give error 3194 then i try to restore it in recovery mode but still can not restore error -1 and now i cannot get out of recovery mode please help me to shovel this problem.
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Updated itunes on mac and now pc ipod unreadable
using a 30GB ipod
PC formatted
using two computers- mac and pc
on pc, using itunes 6, bought song. but on ipod
connected to mac
using itunes without video capability.
tried to play song through ipod
itunes says - can't play song without updating itunes
updated itunes with ipod still attached
restarted computer
when restarted- relaunched itunes
ipod updater came up and said that the ipod could not be updated b/c it was pc formatted
then only option was to restore.
do not want to restore ipod on mac. want to use on pc.
what happened?
how do i solve this?
what will happen when i reconnect it to my pc?

Welcome to the discussions. I'm not quite sure what happened here. However, I have a few questions. Currently, if you plug your iPod into your Mac, does it show up in iTunes? Have you run the latest iPod updater on your PC? Now, are both of your iTunes versions the same on Mac and PC?

What does "the Apple Mobile Device service is not started" mean? I updated iTunes and I got this message when connecting my iPod Touch (2nd gen).

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on General
3. Tap on Reset
4. Tap on Reset All Settings
What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It doesn’t affect your data. All of your email accounts will remain intact, as well as any SMS text or iMessages.

Updated to 5.0 and now TV shows are out of order
I just updated to software version 5.0 and now the TV shows in the Computers section are listed non-alphabetically and not even numerically by season. Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm cynical but it's all moving to the cloud - they couldn't care less anymore about local streaming so won't pay attention to things like this. They never fixed glaring backward steps in terms of content organisation of streamed content on ATV2 vs ATV1. They never ported iTunes LP and Extras which are pointless except on AppleTV.
It'll all be about tweeting what you last watched, viewing your most frequently played/bought on your MugWall, and some AI determining what you ought to rent/buy/watch next.

I just downloaded itunes 11 and now i cant find the display duplicates..and it doesnt show the total amount of songs in my library..anybody know..??
Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.

I downloaded songs from iTunes to my iPhone, after I synced to iTunes most of the bought songs are greyed out on both. What can I do to get these songs back?
are you absolutely positive they were ringtones? check your music app to see if they are in there. If they are, you downloaded songs and not ring tones.

I just updated to 8.3 and now I am locked out of my phone
After updating to the newest version of iOS, I was asked to enter a 4 digit pass code. I entered the same one I've always used.
Now when I wnet to grab my phone and look at something, It asks for my pass code, I enter it but it doesn't open the phone.
I'm up to being locked out for 15 minutes now.
How on earth do I fix this?
I'm on a business trip and my phone is synced to a computer at home.The backup encryption passcode has nothing to do with locking a user out of their backup.
If the encryption passcode has been forgotten, nothing can be done. There is no reset for the encryption passcode.
Delete the backup and create a new one.
