Updated lumia 920 grom cyan to denim but still cya...

Hey I'm on Vodafone Ireland. I just completed the update earlier and it threw up an error saying extras and info had trouble and I had to buy the app or uninstall. I hot buy because I didn't know what else to do. However after rebooting and saying the update was successful my phone still displays as Lumia cyan and I do not have Cortana or any of the other denim features

@deathysteve and @Sstriker please, go for Windows Phone » menu » settings » about » more information: OS version (Microsoft) and firmware revision number (Microsoft Mobile; former Nokia part), please. Extras+Info is wrong for so many, we have to double check. By the way, you are able to update Extras+Info manually via Windows Phone » menu » store » (bottom, the three dots) options » settings » check for updates.
@grim666 that is an additional, a separate issue. Did you consider to create a new thread for that and/or to go for the Software Recovery Tool via a Windows computer?

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

After all you've tried, Dah*veed is probably right about needing warranty assistance.
But first check to be sure Settings-Airplane Mode is set to OFF, and Settings-WiFi-WiFi is set to ON.
Try unplugging your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect to your WiFi.

Problems in updating Lumia 920 and installing apps

I have had problems with the new (approx. 1 month old) Lumia 920. In the beginning (bout 2 weeks) everything worked fine. Then started synchronization problems with MS account. I was some how able to fix these problems, even they renewed. I thought that the Black update would fix the problems, but the phone did not istalled the update. It started to download the update, but after dowloading 20-50 % of the update the download crashed with some error code. I also had problems to install some apps. App was downloaded to the phone, but duringthe installation the process crashed and reported some error. After one week of trying different kinds of tricks to get the update and installation of apps working I decided to reset the phone to original setting i.e. hard reset. The reset cycle went through fine. i was able to set the MS account and synchronization was working, got e-mail and contacts to the phone. Still the update does not work and now I can not install any apps to the phone. There are over 20 updates waiting, but always the result is the same. App is downloaded to the phone, but during installation the process crashes. I have tried different connections WiFi and mobile data and done the soft reset every now and then. Is there still something I can do myself to try the fix the problem or should I just take the phone to the Nokia Care.

I would recommend you to check your device thoroughly by Nokia Care Technical team or get it replaced because the problems you have described, unluckily it is a defective device.

HERE Drive Beta with Traffic updates Lumia 920

Why can't i use Traffic updates in the HERE Drive + Beta..?? How can see the traffic info while using the navigation on my Lumia 920..?? i had this with my Nokia N8...

I recently got the update to Here Drive+ Beta and now have Here Drive+ with My Commutes. I think the possiblities are fantastic with the My Commutes feature but so far in the Dallas, TX area whenever I start My Commutes is always says "Couldn't update traffic" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application but it will not show me any traffic updates during my communte.
I recently discovered that if I put the app in 2d mode it will show me traffic updates but as soon as I start My Commutes the traffic information disappears.
Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

No, you have misunderstood the email. It says you will be able to select and send messages to multiple people, not select multiple people in contacts.

Cant Update Lumia 520 to Cyan

Hello, my phone is running on wp8.1 dev preview black firmware. My phone is showing an update is available while enabling dev preview but when i update it shows " cant update, its a temporary problem. error code:800700e".
But disabling the dev preview it shows its up to date.
Is there any other way to update without downgrading using NSR tool?

Now after trying again(not with NSR) it shoed the same error but...
it shows 'cyan' and black firmware version.

SMC Firmware Update 1.7 "Installed Successfully" Multiple Times, But Still Not Installed

Software Update keeps telling me that I have the MacBook Pro SMC Firmware Update 1.7 available for my machine. I have run this update several times, both through Software Update and through directly downloading it from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1237
Through either method, running the update yields the same result: it runs, reports that the update is installed, restarts the machine, and all seems good. However, if I run Software Update again or check the SMC version, I still have the old SMC version 1.69f3 and the same update is still available in Software Update.
This thread -- https://discussions.apple.com/message/20649193 -- suggests running Disk Utility to find errors. I have already run Disk Utility to check for errors (multiple times) and no errors have been reported.
This thread -- https://discussions.apple.com/message/21320561 -- suggested running a clean installation of the OS. The other thread's solution ultimately also was a clean installation of the OS. Having just done that barely a month ago on this machine, I really would prefer to not do that again so soon!
Has anyone else run into this issue and found a (hopefully less drastic) solution? Thanks.

I guess I just fixed it. Do you bootcamp to windows? Once I changed my startup disk from the windows to the mac partition, rebooted, then dd the system update, the firmware update installed and took hold.

AT&T Amber Update Lumia 920

I was the first person in my state to have a white 920. It was the only one available according to the rep, to the dismay of everyone in line behind me. (I was first in line at the store ) I have been amazingly pleased with the updates, in both speed of release and quality. Up til now.
My girlfriend liked my phone so much that she bought the 928 when it came out for verizon. But she has received the Amber update. Its been about a month since she has updated her phone to Amber but according to AT&T, its still waiting for approval!!!
I understand that it is up to the carrier to release the update, but it is leading me to believe that either AT&T is dropping priority of Windows Phone or something isnt right with the update. They used to roll out updates almost immediately. I know i'm being impatient, but it is already early September, the latest that we were supposed to get the update. It is almost mid September.
What's the hold up? Is Nokia fixing issues that were causing problems on AT&T's network, or is the priority of WP slipping?

It is September 27,and AT&T still has not released the Amber update. This isn't news to anybody waiting for the update, but I want to state the facts. Nokia released a statement that all Lumia handsets would receive the update by September 30th, which gives big blue 3 more days to release the update before stated timeframe expires. It also give Nokia 3 days to address any possible issues with the update that might delay the release further. At this point, I continue to hold out hope that one or the other occurs.
However, if neither the update is released by AT&T, nor another public statement is issued by Nokia regarding delays by the 30th of September, you will start to see posts on every public forum and social media available slamming BOTH companies for not supporting their customers.
These are the facts.
If anyone from Nokia or AT&T cares to respond, consider this a formal request.

just want to say that this is a wonderful device.
I am having issues with LTE intermittently connecting. I have to reset the phone to correct sometimes.
Will there be a update that addresses this?

To be honest. I have four identical 920's in my house. The other 3 people using them aren't heavy internet/data users. As soon as I used internet connection sharing (works perfectly by the way - also made sure WIFI stayed on with lock screen) my phone no longer connects to LTE as the preferred freq choice. The other phones have never done ICS and they are all constantly on LTE and never switch down. My set is constantly on 3G or 4G. If I travel, and the LTE connection is strong, then the phone does go there but typically not. I believe its a WP8 issue. Please fix because I'd like to appreciate the LTE speed that is offered here.

I have this issue after the update. I do not know what's wrong but I can not see my recent calls. Neither can see my sms is sent or the ones I have taken back.
I have tried to call one of my friends. I can hear them but they can not hear me. I have also checked with my operator and they do not have the disruption will harm the network.
So what's really wrong? This happened after the last update I did. Living in Sweden, Gävle uses Tele2 comviq simcard.

When did you update? Have you tried simply rebooting your phone by pressing and holding both Vol down + power buttons for around 10 seconds until the phone vibrates? If that doesn't work, you could try resetting your phone but make sure you backup your data beforehand.

Update 7.1.2 does not install after downloading for around an hour. Wifi on, back up done, have space for update, turned off and on once completed but still doesn't seem to want to install. Help!

Update to 4.4.2 losing picture, but still have sound, anyone?

Just opgraded to 4.4.2 and lost my picyure on my tv, (Conneced to tv with DVI, and optic) sound works fine. Tryied another monitor to ATV2, worked fine! Tryied PC to TV worked fine!
So ended up downgrading to 4.3 and everything works as before.
Just to be sure did it all over again, same result.
Can anyone help me? Or have anyone experied the same? Should I just be wating for 4.4.x
