Updated my bios, and I had to authorize my computer to play purchased music
did updating bios (in a dell inspiron 5150) change my Computer's identity or something? Thank goodness I had one spot left of computers to authorize.
Is there a way I can make it so this is (again) my primary machine?
I'm not sure what you mean by "primary machine"; the iTunes Music Store doesn't keep any sort of heirarchy of authorized systems. But this may help with the extra authorization:
One computer using multiple iTunes Music Store authorizations
And if you've reached five authorizations for your iTMS account, there will be a button in your iTunes Music Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your iTMS account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.

How to authorize my computer to play itunes music
I'm trying to authorize my music on my new laptop but it keeps on telling me that i have to authorize my computer im just wondering how i do this so i can listen to my music
Authorization
Macs: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

Can't authorize new computer to play my music or download them onto my ipod
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I seem to be having trouble authorizing my new computer to play my songs, and to also download them onto my ipod. It will download some but not all. The problem that I am having is: when I try to play a song, the authorization pops up and asks me to authorize using my old email address, and password. Well since I can't remember my old password and I no longer use my old email address, I can't authorize my new computer to play songs. So someone Please come to my rescue. I have tried everything.

I recently updated my ipad and then I connected with my computer for sync, not realising that I had a new version of itunes with none of my apps. Now I have lost all of the apps and books etc, that I had prurchased. How do I get them back?
As long as the apps and ibooks are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

my itunes said to update my itunes and ipod touch and when i tried my itunes froze and i had to reset my computer and now my ipod has to restore and when it does it freezes what ddo i do?
This seems to fit yu symptom:
Hang during restore process: Following Troubleshooting security software will frequently resolve this error. This error can be caused by the default packet size being set incorrectly. There may be third-party software installed that modifies the default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize or MaxGlobalTcpWindowSize entry into the Registry. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance in adjusting this TcpWindowSize values. Typically the default packet size is modified by 3G cellular network card software, ISP communication software, or Internet speed download optimization software. There are legitimate reasons to change the TCP/IP packet size and not use the Windows default settings (for example, network traffic optimization, home/broadband optimization, enterprise app optimization such as database apps, Exchange, and more). Deleting the "TcpWindowSize" or "GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize" entries in Windows Registry could affect the system's performance with other apps or on their network connections. Deleting the customized TCP/IP settings may require the reinstallation of any third-party applications that had modified the TCP/IP settings from the Windows default settings.
There are two ways to resolve this:
You can follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) , or follow the steps below to manually find and remove TcpWindowSize and MaxGlobalTcpWindowSize entries from the Registry.
For Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7: Go to the C:\\Windows folder and launch regedit.
Go to Edit > Find.
Search for "TcpWindowSize" entries. There are typically multiple entries of TcpWindowSize/GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize spread throughout the entire Registry. If "TcpWindowSize" exists, one or more third-party applications have changed the user's default Windows settings for TCP/IP.
Go to File and select Export. This step will export a copy of the Registry that can be used as a backup of the original settings.
Delete the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
Search for the next "TcpWindowSize" entry and delete each one until the Registry no longer has any "TcpWindowSize" entries.
Close Regedit, restart the PC, and test.
If you are uncertain as to why these registry entries exist and the PC is a business computer, contact your network administrator and determine what values TCP/IP can be set in their Windows Registry setting so that the PC can update or restore an iOS device rather than deleting the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
If editing the registry does not resolve the issue, restoring on a different computer that did not install the communication software is the step most likely to resolve this issue.

Why is my itunes trying to update my iphone and its not connected to the computer?
This would be more for the technical side of the house, but why would the system try to update my iPhone and its not connected to the computer? is there a bug in the system?
Update or sync?
As of iOS 5 updates and sync can be done wirelessly, over Wi-Fi. -
I had purchased music on my computer and iphone and I had to restore my computer to factory settings and I smashed my iphone. Can I get my music back?
If you are in the U.S. or Canada and install iTunes 10.3, you can re download your iTunes purchases to your computer.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
My nano was working just fine and I had been using it as my fitness watch ( music). I plugged it in to charge and when I came back to unplug it, it was so hot that it burned my hands. I continued to unplug it and that was the last time it worked.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

i recently changed my wallpaper and when i was on safari the rainbow wheel popped up and i had to restart my computer, now theres no wallpaper it just a grey denim and when i try change the wallpaper only the tool bar changes not the background, help ?
Hi. When you were in the recovery drive doing permissions, did you try and run a repair of the boot drive? Did you try single user mode? Try these first and then go back and try to reinstall the operating system. When I say repair boot drive I don't mean permissions. There are both options in disk utilities. When you open disk utilities ,you will see in the left column two drives plus possibly a boot partition that look like an external driv. click on the second drive and in first aid use repair disk. If you still can't boot and it will not let you restore, you may have to do a clean install. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18869?viewlocale=en_US

How can I authorize my computer to play songs that were initially downloaded under a different Apple ID (email address) on a different computer?
You need to either authorize it from that Apple ID or delete those songs and buy them from your current one.
