Updated my memory and now my speakers sound awful! What happened?

After I installed more memory, my speakers sound awful. Any ideas as to what happened and/or how to fix it?
MacBook Pro 15" 2.66 (mid 2009)
8gb 1067 MHz DDR3

I solved the issue and thought I would pass it along. It turns out that I updated iTunes shortly before I installed the memory. Some how the equalizer was turned on and the pre-amp was cranked up to max. Not sure why as I never use the equalizer, I have always had it turned off. Maybe the upgrade turned it on for some reason. Once I turned down the pre-amp to 0, my built-in speakers sound just as they should, perfect. Then of course, I just turned it off completely.

Resolution
Perform the following steps if you receive one of the messages above:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to Wi-Fi if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Applefor assistance.

Loaded updates from microsoft and now lost the sound in foxfire

loaded updates for my microsoft xp , 10 24 10 and now have losy sound in foxfire. I also have I also have google chrome and now sound in it either. I do have sound when using a dvd. One thing I do get the computer will say I have no mixer and tells me to add it but when I check it tells me that my sound card it is working fine.

It appears that you upgraded your computer to Mountain Lion and were using Microsoft Office 2004. In the short term, if you need to open and modify Word files, go to the file in the Finder and Control-Click on it. A menu will come up: go to Open With... and select TextEdit. This should allow you to open, modify and save the file for the short term.
You can do the same trick to open Microsoft Excel files in Preview and print them; but I do not think you can modify them in this way.
Workarounds for Microsoft Office 2004 since upgrading to Mountain Lion:
1. Upgrade to Microsoft Office 2011. This version works in Mountain Lion. However some of your legacy 2004 files may convert badly.
2. Restore the version of OS X that you were using before Mountain Lion.
3. Partition your hard drive and/or attach an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard on it and use the 'dual-boot' method of booting into Mountain Lion when you need it and booting into Snow Leopard when you need to run your PowerPC applications such as Microsoft Office 2004.
4. The method I use, which allows me to run my PowerPC applications concurrently with Lion: I installed Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7 in Lion:

Updating iOS will relock devices that were unlocked via unofficial methods. Any legitimately unlocked devices will not relock.

Liquid spills, why your MacBook chassis is a one-way valve for spills
After a substantial spill many people will turn their notebook upside down and shake it, not only does this not work, but it spreads liquid havoc throughout your machine and makes things often as bad as possible.
The keyboard itself acts like a one way valve in the case of a substantial liquid spill. While liquid pours into the bottom chassis easy, it does not come out easily at all, and in the case of any spill, most of it will not come out by turning it upside down. Disconnect all power and contact Apple for diagnostics and repair.
Do not attempt to, after a spill, ‘dry out your MacBook’ and test it
After a spill most people invariably try to “dry out” their notebook by various methods, including hair dryers and otherwise. This both does not work, and after a substantial spill of any magnitude, even if the liquid was water, residue is left behind.
There are additionally many very tight places inside your notebook where liquids will linger for a very long time, and cause corrosion or worse.
Immediately unplug your notebook and contact Apple for in shop diagnostics and parts replacement.
In the case of very minor spills people will “dry out” their notebook and feel success that their notebook is working ok, however invariably in nearly all instances after 4-14 days an error / fault pops up and is usually followed by more.
In case of a spill, damage estimates are impossible,.....anything can be fixed, without question.......the question is cost.
contact Apple for in shop diagnostics and cost estimation ....possible parts replacement.

I guess that means back to the shop. Ridiculous to sell a phone that can't handle the new iOS more efficiently (or vice versa). I can't imagine anyone going near a 5C now (I have a feeling mine had already been used and taken back once and sold as new at O2).

strange, have you checked you are also up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also check that there isn't any apparent physical damage to the handset itself. try a hard reset if the problems still persist, and failing that, a trip to Nokia Care is in order.

Just updated iphone 4 and now no tv shows are syncing

I updated my iphone and now no tv shows are showing on the iphone. They are showing in itunes, but here is the weird part, when Sync TV shows is DE-SELECTED it shows a certain amount of blue for audio, purple for video, same for photos, apps and other and shows 5.60 GB free.
Then when I SELECT TV Shows there are roughly 10-12 TV shows that it should include, it then shows a very small amount of blue Audio, NO purple for video, photos, apps and other remain the same AND shows 8.10 GB Free..... Shouldn't this have DECREASED since I added.... Logically doesn't make any sense. Any guidance??

ASk your friend who unlock the phone for him/her.
ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock it.
bAse on your description, it sounds like your friend had his/her phone hacked to unlock it from the original carrier.

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything.
