Updated Photoshop CC - Transform Tool Stuck on Percentage

Hello,
I updated this afternoon and my transform tool (set scale) seems to have lost the right-click function of being able to choose what Unit of Measurement I am on. It is stuck on percentage. My CS6 still works. The image below is referring to the menu I am talking about. I've looked in the Preferences menu, reset my Photoshop and cannot seem to get this function back. Thank you.

Thanks. I'm aware I can type them, it just defeats the purpose of seeing the width and height of the objects before altering them if you have to enter a random number to have it stay as pixels, cm, etc. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Using Photoshop transform tools in Lightroom

I know that Lightroom has some perpective controls, but is it possible to use Photoshop's Transform tool to apply skew and distort to an image
in Lightroom so that the image remains an editable Raw image (not rendered to TIFor JPEG) and that if such an image is run as a slide show the adjustments made will be shown. I've seen a video that seems to suggest this.

If the image is a smart object and saved as a smart object PSD, then the image should still be editable as a Raw file with Photoshop object transforms?
Or is a now a rendered file like a JPEG or TIF? Sort of chicken and egg!
As a postscript, the transfomed smart object is rendered as a PSD much larger than the RAW file(rendered!).
There is no option to open this in RAW from Bridge, it opens in PS5. Right clicking the image gives various options, including
'edit contents' which now opens in Camera Raw (presumably as a raw file) as all smart objects should have non destructive editing.
Closing Raw updates the smart object which can be saved. So it is a sort of hybrid, a RAW file with Photoshop edits.
With any luck we are moving to a Camera Raw with all Photoshop features migrated into it.

Photoshop crashes when using Free Transform Tool

Hello All Forum Members,
Recently Photoshop CS6 crashes when I attempt to use the Free Transform Tool through the shortcut (Ctrl+T).
It also crashes very often when using any of the free transform/transform tools via the menu as well, though not as often as the previous listed situation.
This experience only occurred recently - for all the time I have been using CS6, this has never happened.
I have read another thread similar to this, though I don't think the cause of the problem is the same as this was only a recent experience.
Any help will be appreciated.

By immediately, do you mean when the loading or when the actual interface has finished loading?
I have tried both, but neither seems to have worked.
Is there a menu or someplace else I can reset preferences?

Have thought about re-installing it but I have lost my serial number. I'm living in Ireland and trying to get to talk to someone in tech support is a complete joke. Any ideas what to do ? Thanks

Ianp69549740 have you tried reinstalling Photoshop CS5.1? If so do you receive any specific errors? What operating system are you using?

Photoshop crashes after using transform tool in animation window!

My photoshop (CS5 on a mac) has been crashing anytime I use the free transform tool in the animation window. It works perfectly fine in regular photoshop, but the second I switch over to animation using the select tool then the free transform tool will crash photoshop and I'll lose what I was working on. I've tried a few things already, but my problem seems to be super specific and nobody else has had this happen to them.

Sorry about Photoshop CS5 crashing when you're working in the animation timeline.
Do you get a crash log that shows up?
Could you provide the details in that crash log here in the Forum discussion?
Have you tried creating a new user account, and tested working with this file and animation under that user to see if it crashes there?

Is PS CS5 up to date? The latest version of CS5 is 12.0.4
Which Mac OS Version are you working on? Is it up to date?
What happens if you create a NEW file, and create an animation timeline on that one, do you still get the same crashing behavior? Is it just with this one file?

Tool Palette issue after updating Photoshop CS5 to version 12.0.2.

When leaving or hovering the mouse cursor over the Tool Palette in Photoshop usually a small window appears to indicate the name of the tool and keyboard shortcut. However, after updating Photoshop CS5 to version 12.0.2 the small window shows but it is now a blank space. I have uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop CS5 and updated again and this problem persists. Now I wish that I should not have updated from version 12.0.1. Do any other Photoshop CS5 users are seeing this problem?
p.s The Tool-Stack window works fine, when clicking the mouse for a second, and tools are selectable.
The operating software I am using is Windows XP Pro 32 bit.

This is a known problem with the update, and Adobe is working on it.

Transform Tool - Photoshop CS6 crashing on Mac

Is any one having trouble with the Transform Tool in Photoshop CS6 crashing when trying to resize on Mac?
I've got Photoshop CS6 Extended with software version: 13.0.6
Mac Software Version: Yosemite 10.10.2
Any help would be appreciated.

What is your setup like? How much installed RAM, how much available hard disk space? Separate drive for Photoshop scratch?
Have you already tried trashing your Photoshop preferences yet and letting the application create new ones for you? Have you Repaired Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility? If not, do both at once.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.

Tools Palette issue after updating Photoshop CS5 to version 12.0.2

Transform tool is stuck on rotation

I use the transform tool (the tool accessable from Ctrl-t keyboard combo) a lot but suddenly I'm unable to move the tranform area around with keyboard. It seems to be stuck on the rotation aspect of transform with the double arrow rocker showing for cursor.
I've apparently hit some switch or something that has disabled a good bit of the functionality of transform tool
Any one have an idea what has happened here? I don't see any obvious adjustments or clicking type things involving the transform tool.

Yes, free transform. and I know how it s supposed to work double arrow cursor at corners or mid sides and rotation curors when hovered off a corner.
Also you can nudge it around with arrow keys or shift arrow
What I'm saying is, I've lost all but the rotation cursor. The rocker with arrow on either end. That is all I get... no shrink expand style curor and no nudge with arrow keys.
The free transform box appears to be about 1.5 inch by 1 in, But them I am at pretty nigh zoom levels, all I can do is rotate... nothing else.
It happened during the course of using it every few seconds... somewhere between one usage and the next it sudden lost 3/4 of functionality.
I wondered if I am steadily requiring more ram as the rotoscope progresses. And that's why the free transform seems impaired But its only one layer and maybe 70-80 keyframes so far. The whole clip is only 2.7 seconds. But I am at some pretty high zoom for most of it.
It will probably be antoher one of those thihngs that happen that I never discover why but it disappears on reboot. I thought I'd ask in case its something I've in advertantly set that is causing it.

If it's stuck at 0%, its a possibility that the network that you are using to do the update has restrictions or is not letting the download proceed. Can you please try the following and suggest :
1) Try a different internet connection that is free from all the restrictions.
2) Try turning off the Antivirus and try installing the product again.
3) Try downloading the product under a new Admin user account.

Adobe PS CC Updatebug transform tool settings??????

i updated the new Update for PS CC...
WHY the heck isn't it not possible after Update to switch in transform tool the scaling form "%" to another scale (zentimeter, pixel etc.) with clicking right click on "%" ???
it is essentially for my daywork that this feature works!!!
It costs me much more time on this way

It looks like a glitch on the windows side.
(the mac side seems to work as before)

Where is the program after updating Photoshop Elements 9?

After updating Photoshop Elements 9, I can't find the program. I'm using Windows 7 and the program is not in the Start Menu, on the Desktop or pinned to the Taskbar. There are no .exe files in the Program Files (x86) folder, there is no Adobe folder in the Program Files folder, and there are no .exe files related to Photoshop Elements 9 in the ProgramData folder. Last of all I did a search for exe files on the C drive and went through all 5936 items - no exe files related to Photoshop elements.
Please help.

Can't move lower third with transform tool

I created a lower third with 4 text and background elements. I want to reuse it later in the movie to display a different name. I made a copy of it and positioned it in the timeline, but I can't move all 4 elements at the same time on screen to position it right. If I use the transform tool, it only allows me to move one element at a time even if I shift select all elements, but I need to be able to move all 4 at the same time. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for time and help.

Highlight all the clips in your lower third and create a Compound Clip.
This will enable you to move all the clips together with the transform tool
You can then copy this clip and use it like a template. When you need to update the text, control click on the Compound clip and select Break clip apart. and edit the text.

Can't update Photoshop CC

I am unable to update Photoshop CC. Both Creative Cloud and Photoshop say everything is up to date, but it is not. I am currently stuck on 14.1.2 and am running Windows 7 64 bit on a desktop PC (not in an enterprise environment) . Can you please advise what steps are needed to get the updates to happen?

Well, some success... still some issues.
I did not uninstall Photoshop, but I did rename the 4-folders listed above in step 17. After that, went to launch Photoshop and got error 16 and it would not open. I tried to open CC Control panel and it said no programs are installed, asking me to choose what I wanted. I installed Bridge with no issues and then Photoshop. The Photoshop install said patch failed U44M1P7. The update button was still present so I tried again- with same results. I tried opening Photoshop and got... could not load the Fast Core Routines module because it does not work with this version of Photoshop. Upon dismissing message, I got same wording with MMXCore Routines and then Multi proccessor support mentioned. I dismissed those and then Photoshop opened and it shows I am running version 14.2.1 now (yeah!). I have tried opening and closing several times and it seems to work okay. However, CC Control Panel now shows:

More details direct me to a folder with several zipped log files. There is one that specifies CSXS with today's date. If you let me know how to email or PM it to you I will send it along.

I was trying to update Photoshop CS6 and after getting to 99% installed the script came back with
"Update Failed," Try again
later or contact customer support which included a link to nowhere and a number (U44M1|216).
I did try to "try again later," to no avail!

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, let AAM reinstall, then try again.
