Updated player and now cannot listen to internet radio stations - why ?

Updated to 14.0.0.145 the other day and now cannot listen to internet radio stations that worked fine before updating ( WABC , WMAL , KSFO ) . Programs won't download . WMAL's podcast does work , though . No trouble with Youtube , etc...
I have Windows 7 and IE 10 .
Can anybody help ?
Thanks in advance .

Each updated version of Flash Player includes important security updates.  You really want to be running the latest version of Flash Player.
I'm also able to play these streams with no problem.  Have you rebooted since you upgraded?  It's always a good first step for mysterious problems.
If that doesn't work, I'd Uninstall Flash Player | Windows and then do a fresh install from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer before considering downgrading.  That's an unwise course of action.

  • While trying to fix a blocked plug-in problem, I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player and now cannot reinstall.  Help!! Please.

I am trying to fix a blocked plug-in.  I unstalled Adobe Flash Player and now cannot re install.  Any help would be appreciated.

More info. Why can't you reinstall? Something is preventing reinstalling? If so what? What occurs when you try?
Or you don't know how to reinstall?

  • Has anyone noticed you can now listen to internet radio stations with TV?

I just noticed this last night. Months ago many of us were complaining of the inability to listen to internet radio stations on TV.
I had created a folder in iTunes for Internet radio stations. Last night I noticed those stations are all showing up on my TV screen and I can listen to them. Maybe this was added during Apple's last update?
    I like it!

no it's been around since 2.0.1 or something
    but it seems unstable
havent tested if it's still the case but people
reported in this forum that a boot of the atv
mean one have to delete the playlist
and make a new one to get the radio to work
and not long ago a guy reported that after a few hours
listning to radio the atv crash

  • UPDATED iTunes and now cannot open it

I recently updated my iPhone to ios6 and then upgraded my iTunes on my laptop.  Unfortunately, I now cannot open ITunes on my laptop.  What gives?

Do you get an error message when you try to launch iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

  • I updated iTunes and now cannot hear my audiobooks. Everything else works, but not audiobooks. How do I fix it?

I received an alert saying that it was time to update iTunes and I did. When I went to listen to an audiobook on my computer it played, but no sound was forthcoming. I tried all the other venues(music. podcast, etc) and they all work fine. The books are from audible.com and I have 42gb of them, so this is s first time problem.
What do I need to do?

There may be a work around... Am unsure how you are adding the file to iTunes, if youre importing it directly or not, but this worked for me...
Delete existing entry in iTunes (right click on the audiobook and show in windows explorer and delete actual file also)
Redownload audiobook with Audible Download Manager.
When asked if you want to download directly to iTunes, select NO
Locate downloaded file, drag and drop into iTunes library, should now play.
I think Ronson58 maybe right that it has something to do with iCloud affecting the DRM signing for that file, which has been broken by the iTunes update, and reimporting in this way recreates the DRM signature.
I hope this helps. Please post back with any findings.

  • Installed Maverick, updated it and now cannot start up.

Very disappointed, I never thought apple will come out with such OS that has not stable yet. Install maverick last night and already had problem downloading it, but it's alright when I re-download it. This morning when I updated it, it boots up and went to log in page, after typed my password, I just stuck there for 30 minutes, I forced it shut down and restart but won't work, I even went into hardware check and everything seems fine. I start it up again and it say in the loading page for 45 minutes till now. Mine is early 2012 MacBook Pro 13 inches

Try to reset your password at My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) as described in this document:
iCloud: Find My iPhone Activation Lock in iOS 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818
What if I forget my Apple ID password?
If you forget your password, you can reset it at My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) or by contacting Apple Support and verifying your identity. Once your password has been reset, it will work normally with Find My iPhone and Activation Lock.
If you forget your password and cannot reset it, you will lose access to your Apple ID and may be unable to use or reactivate your device. To help prevent this, visit My Apple ID periodically to review and update your account information.

  • Just updated tiger and now cannot get into Computer-HELP!!

Was having issues with iPhoto and importing images. Would get the darkened screen telling me I needed to do a hard restart on the machine. Happened a couple of times, so fixed permissions to start and then ran a system update.
Now, when I restart I get the password login screen (had automatic login enabled previously). The passwords for both accounts do not work and I know I'm typing them in properly. When I try to boot up of the CD to either reset the password or run disc utility, I get a DOS screen with words such as:
Unable to find finder driver for this platform
    panic (CPU 0 caller
    no debugger configured
    panic: we are hanging here
Has anyone else had access issues since running the latest Tiger updates?

I'd imagine because of the fact that you had a hard drive problem and the system update touches system files... if they aren't written back correctly this could cause a huge problem.

  • WAG200G and Samsung pc interfering with internet radio's

I have a netwerk with Linksys WAG200G (annex B (=ISDN version)) router and some 15 pc's and internet radios, mainly oxx.
Yesterday I installed a new all in one PC, namely a Samsung ativ one 5 style, a kind of iMac but much cheaper.
All went allright but for one thing. If my Samsung was on all my internet radios started oscillating / continuously rebooting / continuously restarting as soon as a music station was playing which thus played not longer than 1 to 3 seconds. If my Samsung was off. All my internet radios worked fine as before. My guess for the nature of the problem was: interference.
If you google on interference you will find that you may have to change the channel on which the router works. I already had that optimised but I checked again using INSSIDER and trying various channels. No change.
Further, I think that I somewhere (possibly in a post on this forum!)  have read that interference problems might decrease by changing the mode of the router from "Mixed" (which means G- and B-mode) to "G-mode only".  This post is to inform you that I think that that did the tric and solved the problem. Samsung on or off, all my radios work fine.
PS Another suggestions was to use "B-mode only" since that should slower things which might improve. My pc's and radios worked fine on it but the interference problem was not gone. By the way, since B-mode is a more or less obsolete mode, you miss nothing by changing to "G-mode only" I guess.

I was able to listen to Internet radio stations until I installed the latest software update.  Then got spinning gear wheel saying loading radio stations. Rebooted by using the menu and down buttons at the same time.  Now get list of radio stations, including my favorites, but when I try to play one, get message "Cannot access Internet Ra dio Stations"

  • How do you bookmark internet radio station?

I have been listening to Internet Radio stations on Itunes Windows 12.0.1.26
Seems like there has to be a means of "bookmarking" an Internet Radio Station stream.
I am referring to how to bookmark one of the hundreds of stations

This is not really an iTunes U question per se ... so you might have better luck in a different forum.
However, I "think" this is the correct answer.
To have your stream listed, by default, in the "Radio" playlist, I believe you would have to contact Apple directly. But you can create a "playlist" file and refer to your stream within it. Playlist files are double-clickable and are imported directly into iTunes. I have tested this theory with Shoutcast playlists and it works like a charm. Here's Apple's blurb (out of date for developers, but not necessarily for you) on the subject:
    http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/QT6WhatsNew/Chap1/chapter1_section58.html
So the basic idea would be to create a playlist file, attach it to a link on your website, and then just refer users to the link. Once they click the link, iTunes would do the rest.

  • AppleTV 2: to hear internet radio stations which are not in the list

    Hello,
I have an AppleTV 2 and I like to hear internet radio stations which are not listed in default list.
Is there any possibility to enter the URL of an internet radio stream manually on AppleTV like in iTunes?
    Thank you and best regards

You can not enter the URL into the Radio app on the ATV. You can enter it into iTunes then use AirPlay to send the audio to the ATV. You can also use internet radio apps on iPads, touch and iPhones to AirPlay on the ATV as well. I use TuneIn Radio which doesn't let you enter URLs but it has pretty much every radio and podcast feed under the sun.
