Updated Process for the Ideas Exchange

Hey folks! Spotify Community team here.
If you've been around the Spotify Community for a while, you've probably noticed that we keep tabs on your suggestions for improving Spotify through our Idea Exchange. 
In an effort to keep the Idea Exchange as organized and up-to-date as possible, we've changed the way Ideas are submitted. We've outlined the new process with a step-by-step guide below. 
We hope that you continue submitting ideas to make Spotify even better.  While we can't promise that we'll implement every idea that you submit, but we'll always do our best consider each one and provide updates wherever possible. 
The guidelines:
Search for previously submitted ideas.  Someone may have already submitted the same idea.
One idea per post.  No double dipping.  
Ensure the idea is implementable.  Avoid posting general feedback or questions in the idea exchange--the more specific the idea the better.  
Use an intuitive title.  
Submitting a new idea:
1. Go to the Idea Submissions Board.
2. Click the New Idea button.
3. Enter an Idea Subject that includes one of the tags above. 
4. In the Body enter a detailed description of your idea, including any screenshots or links you'd like to share. 
5. Select one a platform label.
6. Then select a subcategory label.
7. Click Post. 
8. One of our Idea Guardians in the Rock Star Program will analyze the idea and mark it either as a "Live Idea" or close it for a specified reason (duplicate idea, unspecified, etc). Allow us to introduce our Idea Guardians: Marco, FredJ, gprocess, Peter, dinomight, Anthony, pnc, Jordi, kbrooksc, Carina, OviiiOne, and Rodrigo.
9. If your idea reaches the Live Idea board it can then start to gain kudos and comments from other users.
10. Once your idea reaches 100+ kudos a Community Manager or Moderator will update the status to one of the following:
The Idea statuses: 
New Suggestion (no status/default one): the idea was just posted, it is waiting to be reviewed by an Idea Guardian.  
New Idea: this is a new and unique idea, you can add your kudos here. 
Inactive Idea: Ideas that could not gather at least 25 kudos per year will get closed - you can submit this idea again if you still feel the topic should get some attention. We recommend changing the title or description if posting the same idea again.
Good Idea, give it some kudos: We like this idea. A decision has not been made but we want to see how much the Community continues to vote on it.
Under Consideration:  This has been brought up internally. 
Watch this space: This feature is coming. We have a rough pipeline for its release. 
Not right now: We talked about this internally and it’s not on our pipeline for the next few months or more.
Case Closed:  We talked about it, but we won’t be running with it. Thanks anyway!
Implemented:  This feature has rolled out on the specific platform.
Needs more info:  We need more clarity or information around this idea from the original poster.

Ah, yes, now I see it. For those of us with less than perfect vision, how about putting the text in red in the center of the page as opposed to in only slightly darker green to the right. I've never used this page before so I had no idea there even was something to select on the right hand side. Also, the first link in the first post on this page gives me this: "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action.Click your browser's Back button to continue.Return to my original page"

  • Better search/indexing capability for the Idea Exchange Forums

    Now  that we are getting more ideas posted to the idea exchange it would be helpful if we could have an improved indexing and search capability. This would help to reduce the number of duplicate ideas posted. I know I have ended up posting a couple of duplicates even after searching.

    If you ever have a specific example of the search not finding a related idea, please post it here. When I've gotten feedback about this before and then tried to search myself, it seemed like the related idea always came up.  I definitely would like a specific case that I could give to our forum vendor.
    I do agree, the Google like feature with misspelled words would be very helpful and I'll pass along that suggestion.

    What do we need to do to get the FIOS App Development team to provide updates to the Idea Exchange... We have been trying to get an update on the status of a Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 App, and no one ever seems to want to respond.  It was posted and "acknowledged" back in 2012, with no Verizon update since.  Every time someone tries to repost the question, it quickly get's move to the old thread and then ignored by Verizon with no other response...

    I have a hard time understanding why I can't contact support about THEIR problem. I plugged my iPhone into my pc. iTunes came up. It said there was an update available for the phone. I accepted that. Clicked on the "download only" because I didn't have the time to install it at that point. It downloaded but didn't stop. It continued to the 'backing up your iPhone' segment then froze. I waited at least an hour with no change. Finally I unplugged my phone..iTunes wasn't responding.I rebooted my pc then tried the same thing again. Same outcome even though I let it "Back Up" for 7-8 hrs while I slept. Same Story...............         iTunes 10.4.0.80 is the software I'm using. When my phone is 'plugged' in what I see on it's face is "Sync in Progress".....for hours!

    I am installing SQL Server 2012 Developer (from ISO image written on DVD), my machine has Windows 7 (Edit: Windows 7 with service pack 1) on it. This machine already has SQL Express and SQL 2008 R2 Express installed in it.
    On running 2012 setup it goes fine from Setup Support Rules to Installation Progress. In  Installation Progress after some progress installation fails.
    Windows show the following components couldn't installed:

    I would like to understand the correct way of the process for the bill of exchange receivalbes.
    1. Posting of bill of exchange t-code F-36
    2. Maintain bill of exchange liability t-code F_72
    3. Presentation to bank t-code FBWE
    Is this correct? Which  usage do we need to enter in F-36?
    At the moment I have problems to get the documents available for F_72. When we post F-36 with usage D the documents are not available to maintain the liability.
    Or is there any transaction missing?
    Is F_72 required in any case?

  • Make synchronous the update process of the FB01 transaction.

    Hello, we are using the BTE 1080 that is inside of the FB01 transaction
    to execute a "call transaction" to the F-51. At this point we use the
    FI accounting document data (identified by: {BUKRS, BELNR, GJAHR})
    "created" by FB01 as an input to the F-51 "call transaction".
    Due to the update process in the FB01 is asynchronous (in update task)
    some times the update process delays longer than usual and the F-51 fails
    because is unable to find the FI accounting document data in the database.
    We could use the "wait" instruction to wait for a period of time until the
    "update task" write data to the database, but we don't know how much
    time it will take. We would like to know if it is possible to make synchronous
    the update process of the FB01 in order to warranty the existency of the
    data in the database that will be used by the next transaction F-51.

    I don't think it's possible. You can do a simple select from BKPF and if the new document is already there then don't wait. Otherwise wait for reasonable time and check again.

    I am using DPM 2012 R2, what finally worked to me to resolve my problem with EUR was to:
    In DPM I disabled EUR
    In Computer Management delete all DPM Shares (\\?\c:\Program Files\...)
    Using ADSI edit go to CN=MS-ShareMapConfiguration,CN=System,DC=X,DC=Y (Replace X & Y for your domain)
    Delete all of the mappings within the container
    In DPM enable EUR
    In DPM on a protection group I created a new recovery point and selected “Only synchronize (available only for file data)”

  • Change 'Kudos' to 'Votes' on the idea exchange

    Sometime I discuss an idea on another platform than the NI forum (Info-LabVIEW, LAVA, real life) and I advise them to vote for a particular idea on the Idea Exchange. For people foreign to the 'Kudos' term it's sounds strange, while calling it 'Votes' makes it more recognizable.
    Kudo is a term mainly used on internet and in youth communities, it might be astranging to more serious programmers.

  • Question about the Intel driver for the IDE controller

    Greetings to all:
    Lenovo has recently published another driver for the IDE controller and I wonder how many of you that have a T60, T60p, T61 and T61p have been able to actually install it.
    My controller device is:
    Intel(R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4,
    both in XP-SP3 as in Vista SP1, 32bits versions ( see bellow details of my T60p, which has 2 hard drives)
    Interestingly enough the driver on each is v:7.0.0.1020 (2005/05/23) for XP and v:6.0.6001.1800 (2006/06/21) for Vista-B. They are working well as far as I see, but now and several times before, I have tried to update them but they do not install. The message is that I have already the  best driver. I noticed that the label of the controller is not quite exactly spell out in the instruction text file or the .inf, and the one that comes close, is that of the so call ICH7-M family.
    Why is this? There are at least 7 versions discussed in the history.  It it perhaps because the one for the ICH7-M family is always the same? System update does not install them either.
    Forgive my curiosity but why bother publishing if they can not be installed? Or perhaps somebody has. This is not logical.

    For those who think I can not follow directions.
    First, the driver for the Intel IDE device in a T60p is obviously from Intel. But there are two ways to get it fulfilled.
    Lenovo publish the Intel drivers with perhaps there own twists, refinements and in the absence of clear contrary information, that they are perhaps more fine tuned to the machine. It uses the following inf files to have them install: iaahci.inf and iastor.inf. They are revised whenever Lenovo fell is necessary and eventually published.
    I must assume they are in use if you have a Vista system originally installed by Lenovo and that is why those inf are the ones you find in the updates.
    Mi T60p was purchased 2 years ago with XP-Pro, just before the release of Vista, with the understanding of a free upgrade to Vista-B shall be send when finally released. An Indeed they keep their word and send me a Lenovo branded full version of MS Vista-Business, some 4 months latter (not an image). Rather than upgrade XP-Pro and to avoid the time in limbo and work interruption of the Vista less desirable over XP, I did a successful clean install into a new hard drive, followed by a Lenovo system update, which changed many drivers and installed programs, etc. But as you might imagine, the Intel IDE-SATA driver installed is the one provided by MS (v:6.0.6001.1800 of 2006/06/21), (which uses a different installation file mshdc.inf) and, until proven otherwise, I must assume more generic, since it is for any and all machines, following the standard of the hard drive SATA type.
    Talking to Lenovo support for nearly 1 1/2 hours last week, was at least not good for my blood pressure, while attempting to explain the issue and refuting a collections of nonsense from the support tech. Eventually a supervisor assure me that the driver was the same and that it has not change for a long time, as it is the same even for XP. Well, why bother with updates if that is the case? But I see that there are others IDE drivers species for animals such as Dell, or HP, etc. Thus you must accept that there is a strong case for a Lenovo modified Intel driver and thus the updates. Tech support could not answer such question, nor they were able to install version 8.6.0.1007 (date 2008/12/04) of the driver.
    I fell the machine is working well, but have nothing to compare with (MS Experience Index 4.3). And as usually happened, sometimes you do not appreciate how sick you are, until you get cure. The question remains about the driver been generic and sufficient or specific and optimal.

  • Error while maintaining the Update Rules for the Infostructure

    I have added 2 new characteristics for the existing infostructure S9xx and executed the same. While maintaining the Update Rules for the same, system is giving the error message 1. "Field 'PARVW' unknown" and 2. Error generating program RMCX0011.
    Please guide me in resolving the issue.

    When trying to access a sales order in change mode... I receive the following error message:
    No updates allowed for the document "......."  IDOC "........"
    I checked IDOC status in WE02 and found that the Application Document was not posted and status is 51.  Next to the status of the IDOC "purchase requisition does not exist"
