Updated software and phone frozen
updated software 4 hours ago and phone is frozen with white screen and black apple.
not sure what to do, cannot remove battery on iphone 6 plus.
Same thing happened to me, except I have the 6. I just got the phone, not more than two weeks ago. I decided to update to iOS 8.2 just to have the most recent software, and I was fine for a few days. Like I said, I just got the phone so I'm fooling with it, looking through my facetime application. I then get this notification that says something about a failure, and facetime closes, and it goes directly to the white screen with the black apple logo. Now, everytime I unlock my phone, it goes directly to that screen. I can't even use my brand new phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried resetting it and all of the above. I visited my sprint repair center and the lady tried to hard reset it through iTunes and it wouldn't even go into reset mode with iTunes, so I have to order a whole new phone smh

i recently got my battery replaced in the 3GS and tried to update software and restore but phone is now stuck in recover mode. Please help
If it wasn't Apple who replaced the battery, then you've voided your warranty. Bring it back to whomever replaced the battery and tell them they probably broke your phone.

What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ? If the iTunes icon and cable then the phone is in recovery mode, in which case it's too late to take a new backup or to copy any content off the phone - you will have to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to the last backup that you took or just resync your content to it

Over the air updating of iOS needs iOS 5 or later so unless you have iOS 5 or later you will not see updating in setting

I just tried updating the most recent software on my 3GS (on my Mac) but it said the updated on my phone failed. Now my phone is frozen and only showing the itunes logo and USB cable. When I connect to the USB lead, its says: iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.
Have I lost all the data on my phone?
What should I do?

Updated software and restored ipod = frozen on apple screen
I don't know what to do! I've tried everything I have found that's supposed to help it work. I updated the software and restored my ipod...backed everything up. Went to plug in my ipod to sync it with itunes and it's frozen on the apple screen with a bar underneath indicating the process and it is frozen. I can't get anywhere but here. I've tried several times.
Any suggestions???

hi>just got new phone today iphone5s i set the fingerprint passcode and downloaded new software from phone and it disabled code , now it wont connect to itunes to restore as it says needs a passcodem, not sure what to do thanks
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Can't update software on phone
It says on my provider's website that OS 7.1 is available for my phone (9360). My phone says the current software version is "7.0 Bundle 1555 (v.7.0.0.319, Platform 8.0.0.359". When I got ot the Blackberry update page and try to check for updates, it says that there are no updates found.
The reason I'm trying to update is in hopes that it'll solve this issue I'm having with my browser. Before it was fine with logging into secure websites, but now it says that the protocol is not recognized/compatiable. If anyone knows a solution to this, or the source of the problem, that would be helpful too.You need to update it from iTunes on a computer as described in that article and not from the device itself.
