Updated the iTunes yesterday and now when I try to dock ipod, the com crash
I updated the iTunes last night and now when i go to dock the new 160gb ipod...the computer says that it has detected new hardware and then crashes. I have no idea what is going on but my old 30gb ipod works just fine when I try to dock it.

By "crash" in this context, do you mean that the computer freezes, or that it reboots altogether?

Hello, after I upgraded to the new iOS 7.0 I can not download books I my overdrive app. Every time I try, it closes the app and the book does not download.

Apple released iOS 7 yesterday and many of your Apple users may have upgraded their device(s) or will be upgrading in the near future.
When an existing OverDrive Media Console (OMC) user upgrades to iOS 7, the app will fail when trying to open a DRM-protected eBook. New or first time users of OMC are unaffected by this issue.
We are resolving the issue but in the meantime, here are immediate remedies for users:
1) Re-authenticate the app with their existing or a new Adobe ID. Refer to the iOS section of this Help articlefor assistance. (Recommended)
2) Uninstall and re-install OMC which will also require the user to re-authorize with Adobe. IMPORTANT NOTE: A re-install will clear a user's bookshelf, history, and app settings.
Audiobook users won't notice that anything is different unless they attempt to download parts of audiobooks they already downloaded to OMC before upgrading to iOS 7. A user will receive an error message informing them to download the title again.

I updated to v5.7 and now when I try to import photos, the app gets stuck at "importing files"
The application isn't unresponsive as I can cancel the import but nothing is happening, the files are not being imported. Nothing strange with the file names, I'm on a Mac with OSX10.95. What should I do?
Are you trying to do a copy or move? Does the right side of the Import dialog box show a Destination panel? If not, make it appear by right-clicking on one of the other panels and select Destination.
If that's not it, then you need to give us a whole lot more detail about what you are doing. -

First, make sure it is backed up in itunes.
Next, there should be an option somewhere on itunes to restore it to its original state. I did that once for the IOS 5 install after the first go round did not work.
Once its in its original state, upgrade to ios5. Then restore from Itunes all your stuff.
That is what I did but I am not an expert on what exactly is where in itunes.

Just to be clear: Tap on the Photos app to start the app. Then tap on Albums at the bottom of the screen. You might have several albums but only one is named "Camera Roll." Are there photos in that album?
If there are NO photos in the Camera Roll album there are no pictures to import. The remaining albums might have come from a sync with your computer or they might be your PhotoStream.
If there ARE photos in the Camera Roll album, connect your iPhone to your computer and start your camera application on the computer. Your phone should be recognized as a camera. -
i put money to my itunes account. and now when i try and buy a song it keeps saying that it has to charge my card. why wont it let me use the giftcard money? how can i fix this?
If you still have your old card listed on your account then try selecting the 'none' option and remove it and then try entering the card's details from scratch. If that doesn't work then what is the full error message that you are getting, and the card is registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing) that you have on your iTunes account ?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I downloaded my sons ipod 5g with the latest iOS and now when we try to sync it says we have no space, but there is nothing but a few apps on his ipod and he has plenty of space. Assuming there is no hardware problem try reinstalling Yosemite. If this does not work then take it back to the Apple Store.

Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I recently updated all of the computers in the house to itunes 11. Now when we try to import songs from homesharing, we are unable to. What happened to the conveniently located "import song" button on the old version of itunes. Please help an old mother out please!

solved the issue today. first sync with itunes, so all the stiff you bought on the mobile will be backuped.
1. uncheck sync music in itunes and sync. all the music will be erased from mobile device
2. check music player on the mobile device. just the unwanted songs will still be there
3. go on the iphone to settings, general, usage, music player. there is just a few mb from the remaining unwanted songs. swipeleft and erase the content. switch iphone off and on again
4. repeat step 2. there will be no data. otherwise repeat step 3
5. check sync music in itunes and sync. all the music will be back again but not the unwanted songs. -
I download a suggested "update" from the App Store for my iPhoto yesterday. Now when I try and open my iPhoto, I get a grey screen with the rotating circle icon in the middle......that just keeps rotating. Ergo, it won't open!!! Before the "download" all was fine in Heaven & Earth....now, I'm a little peeved.
Anyone have a suggestion?

ps Have a good day, God Bless America ...............and be weary of iPhoto update downloads,very weary.No need to be wary of iPhoto updates however it is a good idea to follow the instructions when updating. I haven't updated iPhoto from the App Store before however it should not be much different than doing a DVD update. Here are instructions on updating the library:
