Updated to 10.9.5 and my cs5 doesn't work
When I open a photoshop document I can see it's open in the layers panel but the doc doesn't show up. I can save-as a jpg- even when not seeing it- but if I try to save as pdf it says program error.
It sounds like you may need to re-install CS5. Install from your disks or from this link, and have your serial number ready: Download CS5 products. And apply updates from this link: Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Adobe Photoshop CS5

Just reinstalled OS 10.6 and updated to 10.6.8 and internal mic doesn't work...
I reinstalled the system to try and fix the DVD player, which was refusing to play most (but not all) my DVD's... the new system didn't fix the DVD problem and now the mic doesn't work either!!??!?!?!
Any ideas?OK, I don't think I'll be starting that tonight though, might try it later in the week. Thanks very much for the advice, kind of what I expected, just hoped for an easier solution! Mac always seems to go back to "whipe it and start again" - you'd think there'd be some targetted system app testing tool that would help identify probably causes... but there we are, rant over, thanks for the help.

Help! keynote update to 2.0.2 and now it doesn't work
I had the original version of Keynote installed and today software update opened telling me to update to version 2.0.2, although I had version 1.X. It seemed strange to me because usually you can't update to a full new version, like 1 to 2, but it seemed to install.
I then tried opening Keynote to see the difference between the original version and version 2 and it strangely wouldn't open. It bounced in the dock for about 30 seconds and then in the menu bar it said Keynote but was highlighted in blue and it didn't show the rest of the Keynote items that are usually in the menu bar. I also tried open a Keynote file before opening the app, yet the same thing happened.
How can I get this fixed and what went wrong?IT is odd that you were prompted to update since you didn't have v2 already installed,...you are correct that this is not a free update from Apple. Since you had v1, I'd erase and reinstall Keynote from your original media set.

Updated to Win 8.1 and USB keyboard doesn't work anymore
I have a relatively new Macbook running the latest OSX and Bootcamp5.1.2. Windows 8 was pestering me daily to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Finally I succumbed and now my Apple USB keyboard is not recognized by the WIN 8.1 operating system. Everything worked perfectly before the upgrade. I tried to upgrade to the latest version of Bootcamp only to be told that the latest Bootcamp is not compatible with my Mac. Thus any newer drivers cannot be downloaded. Any suggestions on how to:
1. properly install the best compatible Bootcamp on my (2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 1600GB MHz DDR3 running Os10.9.4, Bootcamp 5.1.2) The message I get is "This version is not intended for this computer."
2. How do I get Win 8.1 to recognize my keyboard?Was your phone jailbroken?
If not, get a replacement SIM from your carrier. -

My Ipad 2 cant find my HP3050A j661b airprint printer although the printer is connected to the same wireless network and software updates are current on all and my other laptops also work properly with this printer.further more it used to work with my IPAD2 before when I used the old wireless router but now I changed it to HAUWEI HG231f but I set everything in the same way it was. Thanks in advance.
When you change to the new router, did you re-run the CD to re-set the new SSID and password to the printer.
Otherwise your iPad will not be able "talk" to your printer. -
My new iMac has recently had OSX Lion installed on it and now when I start the machine it looks like its updating something every time, and the wireless doesn't work. So I restart and everything is OK - until I have to start up again the next time - then I have to repeat this again! Any help appreciated.
I've been having the same issue, but have just discovered something on my own that hasn't been pointed out in any of the forums I've visited. In what I thought would be a vain attempt to help myself, I went to System Preferences, Users & Groups, and then clicked on Login Items. I discovered that one of the Items that was listed to open automatically upon login was iTunes Helper and that there was an exclamation point beside it indicating that it was incompatible. I simply deleted that item and now I don't have the situation you described and my wireless is connected. Hope this helps!

Unable to update, restore or recover. Slider doesn't slide and number pad doesn't work for passcode. What next? Worked last night . Battery charged. When I push Home button I get my backgroung but can't slide slider. Device is recognized by iTunes.Help! Thank you.
Besweet, I'm having the very same problem with 60GB colour which was bought new and worked for 6 months before suddenly just not being recognised by PC. I hadn't changed anything at all.
I've followed all troubleshooting advice and reinstalled and updated iTunes and iPod updater software but all troubleshooting routes seem to hit the dead end of either the need to access the iPod via the PC (which isn't possible as it's not showing up at all) or the iPod in disc mode stuck at "ok to disconnect".
It's still under 1yr warranty so will have to take to a dealer.
I'm sorry that's not much help for you but at least you know it's not a unique problem.

How can I install CS5 on a new/replacement laptop? I paid full price in 2011 and have the key (and it shows up in my Adobe account under products), but it was a downloaded product and I can't find a download of that version online and my key doesn't work in CC.
Your key cannot work in CC, it's newer version, and would require a new purchase.

Also when I do the system update it's not giving me an update for the latest Snow Leopard. I never knew that was available until I started looking around this site and it seems that since I have the internal dual core I should be able to update to mountian lion...is this correct? I live out of the country, and my cell phone is not connected to my carrier's network for the next month (so I really have a glorified ipod touch).
