Updated to 10.9.5-Now have Numbers issue

Just updated to OS 10.9.5, and using Numbers 3.2.2 (previously updated, and working with no problems). After OS update, cannot open Numbers passworded doc. Other Numbers docs open, no problem. The passworded one does not even open the box to enter a password. Anyone have any insight on this problem? Sure would appreciate the help.

I had a lot of connection drops and hangs after 10.9.5. It seems there's some compatibilty problem with the Router / Airport / 10.9.5. Did everything, on my computer and airport with no luck, but what worked for me was to reset the router to factory settings and start from 0.
Some 3rd party routers have compatibity issuses with Mac, if the above doesn't work I will recommend to go back to 10.9.4 if you if a Time Machine, and wait a bit for Yosemite launch in a few days. Becasue I don't think there will be a new 10.9 update available soon.

The new update has changed the menu size of tool bars and any menu screen opened. Now have to scroll down and sideways to look at it. Can not fit to the screen.

Even when opening Adobe the screen showing open what use to be small and take about 1/4 screen. now it takes the whole screen and only just fit on the screen.
I can not find anywhere to adjust display size of the tool bars and menus.
Does anyone know how to overcome the very large displaying of all tool bars and menus in the latest release?

This shows the size of tool bars to the actual program. They use to fit on the screen.
This shows the preferences box extend to the right under the windows task bar and to close down or select anything under the task bar I have to grab and slide it side ways.
This shows the setup crop box extending off the bottom of the screen and there is no way to scroll down or to grab and move the box up so the controls I cant get to (OK or Cancel or page range etc)

Macbook Pro Updated to 10.6.7, now mouse / keyboard issues Snow Leopard

Howdy all!
I've got a Macbook Pro 15" 2.5Ghz Intel core i5, last night I updated it top 10.6.7.
Now, it takes forever to boot and when it does I can move the mouse but it's no registering clicks or keyboard button presses. From what I've been able to find on the forums it was an issue with the Macbook Air, and also issues relation to itunes.
Further, it's stopped recognising the charger cable in some cases and is difficult to charge.
I can boot into safe mode and it works, and I'm trying to remove 10.6.7 but due to the limitations with USB I can't get it to find one, and it's not detecting disks either. I've tried zapping the PRAM but no luck.
Like everyone in the forum I need to rectify this asap for work, and would love any advice.
Any advice greatly welcomed, Could it be a logic board issue? Had one go on my ibook years ago and it had similar behaviour.

Update:
Was able to install the 10.6.8 update and have functioning keyboard and mouse again which is grouse
Now the only issue is it's not recognizing the charger cable. I've tried resetting the PRAM and multiple power outlets, any ideas here? Otherwise I suppose it could be the faulty cable itself.

I updated to Firefox 5 and now have problems with it not responding ALOT and also even though I have certian sites listed to allow popups they dont work on several sites I use daily. What can I do about this?

I dont know what else to say about it. I updated and now all this is happening and it didnt before my update to Firefox5. I have several site I use daily and I have gone in and marked them to allow popups and they just dont work. The sites are My Yearbook...Kia Financeing...and a few more. And also I am finding that I get a no response a lot!

I am sorry you are not in a position to replace the iPad. It is stating the obvious, but nothing lasts forever - especially something like an original iPad. IMHO, there is nothing you can do to address the issues you have posted about.

Do you mean restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup which is backed up with your iCloud account?

Updated to 1.05 and now have all sorts of problems

I had problems yesterday syncing to CC.
I updated the CCC software to 1.05 (mac). I could drag files into the CCC browser window, but the desktop folder did not sync.
Also, I could not drag folders into the browser window, which I think I could do in 1.00.
Now, my CCC icon menu shows I am unable to sync to the cloud.
I can drag files into the browser window, but they don't show up on the desktop.

Updated iphone to ios 5 now have none workining phone

I updated to ios 5 was almost done and got a restore failed msg. I can't find my backup files. The phone does not have the locked/briked iphone log on it. It says iphone when i hit the home key and when i unlock it it asks if i want to enable location servies or disable the it asks me to conect to wifi. everyime i try to restore in itunes it fails. i have curent itunes update pls help i need my phone back asap.

Generally this means that your iPhone had been previously
hacked/modified/jailbroken to work with your carrier and the update
relocked the iPhone to the original carrier.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?

Updated to Firefox 18, but now have strange fugures at monitor (triangles and simialr) when Firefox is open. I should return to version 17. Is there solution ?

I always used Firefox and today updated at Firefox 18. After update I have strange figure (giant triangles , lines...) whixh are randomly appear and it s impossible use Firefox. I returned to Version 17 and everything is OK.

After updating to V 15.0 I have the issue that suddenly many but not all of the functions do not work anymore. Menues and download links do not work.

I have updated my firefox to version 15.0. After this I have the effect that at some unspecified time during use many of the functions stop working. Menu's do not open, download links do not work anymore and so on. Opening new tab's or windows still works. Links on pages partly work partly not. Copy and paste does not work anymore on webpages. It takes ending the firefox process and restarting to correct the issue until it happens again. I have those effects on totally different webpages. At this time it happens every time after I start Firefox but not right away. Firefox first works for some time and then it suddenly doesn't anymore without me having done anything special

Migrated Files to 10.5 from OS 8.6 - Now Have Permissions Issues

I'm helping a friend move her files from her ancient PowerMac 7600 to her shiny new iMac. The 7600 is running OS 8.6, the iMac is running 10.5. She also has an install DVD for 10.6 but that will have to wait...
I was able to connect the two computers with Ethernet, and share the Public Folder (I think) from the iMac, and mount it on the 7600. It was simple to move all her document files & folders from the 7600 to this shared folder.
We shut down (and removed) the 7600 after verifying all the files were present on the iMac.
Since the files & folders were in Users/username/Public, I decided to move them to her "Documents" folder. That's when life got interesting...
The files all seemed to have some strange permissions, and her username only had Read only access. The folders were marked with the icon that indicates she did not even have read access.
I was able to use Get Info on the folders, one at a time, and change the permissions on the folder. I made her the "Owner", and set permissions to "Read & Write". And I said to apply to enclosed items.
While this allowed us to open folders that we previously could not, it did not seem to change the lower level files or folders.
If we must manually go through the entire set of files and folders that we moved from her 7600, it will take a very long time! Can anyone suggest another approach?

If you have the two computers talking to each other via the network, then from the new computer copy the files into the Documents folder FROM the old computer. The files should then take the default permissions of the Documents folder on the new computer.
Select the drive icon on the new computer and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. Check the box labeled Shared Folder. If you then open the Sharing preferences on the new computer you can turn on File Sharing. That should enable you to see the drive from the old computer.
Alternatively, burn her data to a CD.
