Updated to 6.1 but badge still on settings.

I updated my 4g ipod touch to 6.1 but now on my homescreen the small red circle with 1 in it that indicates there is an update is still there. How can I get rid of this? would anything else be causing it? When I go into settings nothing else has that circle on any item.

Maybe a restart or reset will get rid of it.
To reset your device, hold both the home and the power buttons down for 10 seconds and the device will reboot without erasing any data.
You can also try to touch and hold the settings icon and move it or something.
A reset should do the trick though.
By the way, did iOS 6.1 change anything for you? Did it make anything better or worse?

Newer versions of Adobe software rarely overwrite older versions. They usually install side by side.
Sometimes plugins for older versions don't work on newer versions and people often want to be able to choose when they uninstall the older version.
If you're not using Lightroom 5, feel free to uninstall it.

1) authorize iTunes on your wife's user account for her iTunes store account(s)
2) connect the device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred her purchases in the previous step, your content will be in her library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

I've updated my Flash software but Firefox still reports it as outdated and automatically deactivates it. How can I fix this?

Firefox says that my Flash software is outdated and therefore vulnerable and automatically deactivates the software. When Firefox recognizes that I'm visiting a page that uses Flash for something it will give me a grey (typically) diagonally striped screen in the place where the Flash would be used with the option of "activating" Flash. But sometimes there are items on webpages that used to show up (and I guess use Flash) that, since this problem started, I can't see. It's also kind of a nuisance to have to activate it each time. But, ultimately, it's somewhat worrying that I've downloaded and installed the latest version of Flash a couple of times and it's still doing this. I'm not really sure what else to do.
Some background on what I'm working with. I'm running Firefox 23.0 and the "About Firefox" screen says I'm up to date. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8. When I go to the add-on page for Firefox, it tells me that the version of "Shockwave Flash" is 11.4.402.265. I have taken off the update feature from Firefox but it still updates when I load it. Howw do I stop this happening?

There is information on turning off the update function, viz tools, options, update. However even though I have turned off this feature it still seems to go through this feature. This is enough to turn a user away from Firefox.

There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page.
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server.
If that "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you and you need to sign in once again.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
* Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

You can sign out from the creative cloud desktop app and quit Creative cloud Desktop App.
Then please navigate to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local and locate OOBE folder and delete it. (Windows 7 or Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 computer)
Navigate to MacHD/User/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ Locate OOBE folder and delete it. (Mac OS)
Then launch Creative cloud Desktop app and sign in, once you logged in, please try launching Photohop and check if you are getting same error or able to launch and use Photoshop.
Please respond on this thread if any issue.

I have installed all updates for Windows 7, but I still cannot open a pdf. Something is missing.

I'm at a loss as to why this doesn't work. I can't download a page, much less print it. A window keeps popping up saying "missing the file to open". Doesn't say what file or where to get it. Was not having this problem before I updated Adobe. I can't print my Christmas mailing labels nor my medication list, etc. HELP this old lady please!

Try saving the file to your local computer (to the desktop, for example), and then open Adobe Reader itself and open the file in it directly (via File - Open). See if that works for you...

Problem solved.
In the docs that came with my Powerlogix accelerator card, I found this sentence buried:
"If you reset the PRAM, the NVRAM code for OS9 compatibility is cleared, so you will have to boot from the Firmawre Update CD and perform this process again in order to boot in OS9."
The "process" it's referring to is the process of setting up the NVRAM for booting into OS9 from the CD.
Fortunately, I was able to find the disk, and it worked as expected. I can now, once again boot into OS9.
Conclusion: My (unadvised) attempt to load Leopard on this old machine apparently reset the PRAM on the accelerator card and cleared the NVRAM code for OS9 boot. Although I did attempt to reset the NVRAM via Open Firmware, it did not reset it on the accelerator card.
So, thank you BDAQua, for your "Ah yes" . . . that's all I needed to steer me in the right direction.

The Mac App Store requires a minimum of 10.6.6 to run, if you are running Leopard you need to purchase Snow Leopard and upgrade. The upgrade is $29 and available from any authorized Apple Reseller or directly from Apple. No you cannot download it, you must purchase the dvd.
