Updated to IOS 5, contacts,photos etc all gone.How to get them back??
While updating to IOS 5, was ask 4 backup pw, keyed in apple id pw(the only pw I know) but was prompted wrong pw then phone stop @ setup screen. Even when I off and on the phone, it's still at the setup screen. Inorder to get out of the screen, I click update as new iphone then now my contacts, photos, messages etc all gone. How to get them back??
i had the same problem and i had to completely restart my ipod. when you plug it into the computer go on itunes and click on your ipod icon. THe ipod menu should be there (summary) click on the restore button. it worked for me, all the best i hope it works for you.

When i locate the songs i have bought in iTunes Store, and try to download them, a message telling me i have to pay for it again shows up. When i try this option in iTunes Check for available downloads, it tells me that there is no available downloads.If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:

You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. all contacts gone after updating to OS5... any ideas where they went or how to get them back?
I did turn the contacts back on and it didnt work. I am hoping the wi-fi connection I am on at school is not compatible, and it will work when I get home. Thanks!

I right clicked my iPod on iTunes and clicked restore from back up because i thought it would undo my IOS6 update. IT DELETED ALL MY PICTURES (2,000) AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THEM BACK!!!! Please help me!!!!!

What do you mean you have them in iCloud, do you mean you have an iCloud back up, or the contacts are still available at iCloud.com -

all my pictures in iPhoto got deleted and i don't know how to get them back so could anyone help me with that ??
We do need more information to help. Are the images gone from your iPhoto library, or is the iPhoto Library missing? How and when did this happen?
If images are missing from the library: Did you check for hidden photos? Did you check the iPhoto Trash?
If the pictures are still in the iPhoto Trash, open the Trash, select the images and and press the liitle arrow in the lower right corner - select "Put back".
If the pictures are still in an "iPhoto" folder in the system Trash (with sub folders named by date), import these folders to your iPhoto library.
Have you checked, if you have opened the correct iPhoto Library? Launch iPhoto with the options key held down, to select another Library.
If the entire Library is missing, have you searched for ".photolibrary" with spotlight?
Do have a backup?
If none of these easy measures helps, report back with more details - your iPhoto version, and anything else that might be helpful to find out, what the problem is. Don't do anything that changes the contents of your hard drive for now.

My computer was hacked using a softbank pocket wifi, I had to install an earlier version of the disc provided for my mac reset my user password and I still need to recover my administrator password that was altered. I have lost all of my applications already existing on my mac including iPhoto, and all other applications. I am wondering how to get them back? I am in Japan and I have proof of purchase in my iTunes, but on my computer all the allplications are blocked. I have no idea what to do to get them back. It is very annoying.

Try this ..
On your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to: Notes
Then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.
Other than that, try Time Machine > http://pondini.org/TM/15m.html
