After updating my iPhone to ios7 I lost a lot of music in my phone and iTunes iTunes was updated too and music is still listed there but can not find.

I have the same problem which started after I upgraded to iOS 7. It works particularly bad on the iPhone 4. It is in "Loading iTunes Match" mode most of the time with no or very slow progress, and when it finally ends, the uploaded Playlists are never there, not one. "Loading iTunes Match" would restart again after leaving and restarting music, say 50% of the time. Not sure what really is being loaded and can't understand why it has to be reloaded so often.
I had a problem ticket with Apple Support, but the specialist asked for a series of screenshots documenting the start time of "Loading iTunes Match" and the eventual completion time. I told him to forget it because I had already spent too much time turning this and that on and off for so many times in so many days trying to listen to my own uploaded music and I did not want to fiddle around anymore. I have decided not to renew my iTunes Match service in November, and have since turned off iTunes Match on all my devices and gone back to syncing to keep things simple.
I also have Amazon Cloud Player which is working just fine for the purpose of having some kind of cloud access of my music. I will be renewing this $24 service this month for another year instead of iTunes Match.
Apple was supposed to be very good at software development, and for them not resolving a problem in a paid service since the rollout of iOS 7 is just disappointing.

When I open Firefox I get this message: “Firefox can't find the file at /b". As a browser Firefox is working for me but I have to click the google search button to connect to the internet. If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Updated to 10.1, now can't find projects/events on external drives

Yesterday, I blithely updated my Final Cut Pro X to version 10.1. Now I am totally lost...
I have gradually got used to the way FCP operates and now, all my Events and Projects are on an external drive, organised in a series of folders; current, finished etc.
When I started FCP yesterday, instead of finding any of my events and projects, FCP created a new Library on my HD.
I use a Macbook Air and do not use my small HD for FCP... how do I tell FCP where all my files are?
I can create a new library on my HD but if I try to move it to the external drive, it is copied and if I delete the original, FCP creates another one on the HD...
Getting lost and confused as there appears to have been a wholesale change of the basic way in which FCP functions.
I don't want to use my HD library as a 'working' library, not least because I don't know how to then find the files, to transfer them to the external drive to back them up.
Also, the HD is far too small for this purpose.
How do I go about persuading FCP to set up and then use libraries on my external drives?

You have to let your projects and events sit in the expected folders in order to have FCP X 10.1 update them to new libraries. If 10.1 sees old events and projects in your external drive (they need to be in the places older versions required them, i.e. at the root level in "Final Cut Events" and "Final Cut Projects" folders) it will offer to update them to a new library.
You should heed Philip Hoggetts' advice about using Event Manager X (now free) to help with managing the transition. You probably don't want to gobble up all your previous projects and events in one mega-library, but give it some form of organization. I rely on Zotero add on for my university researches. Today having been prompted to update to Firefox 10, it said my existing version of Zotero was incompatible so I updated to zotero3. This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

If you're upgrading your phone, I would recommend that you backup your old phone to your computer using iTunes. Restoring an iTunes backup to your new phone will be much faster than restoring an iCloud backup, and possibly more reliable too.
To back it up to iTunes, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. The go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
When setting up your new phone, when given the option, choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore this backup to your new phone. It will include your camera roll and other data; restoring the backup will will also sync your apps and other iTunes media from your iTunes library to your new phone.
