Updated to ios8 now being asked for password to my email account after putting in says invalid?
HI there I have iphone4s just updated to ios8 nowwhen I put in password for my email account it says invalid ,can you help?
What are you trying to do when you see this request? What is the exact error it is saying? Is this with receiving mail, or sending mail?

A friend bought second hand macbook air mid 2011 with crossed circle on the display and give to me to try to recover the system, I tried recovery from partition and same thing occured, after internet recovery it stays the same-crossed circle after reboot, then we tried to boot from USB with mac os 10.8 on it, it installs something,like it has being finishing installation, rebootes, and now it asks for password for boot option.We have no idea what that password could be.What happened!!!

I have never had to enter a password to access mail.
However, recently, I keep being asked for password on my ***** address.
Only on my macbook. (which, btw, has a version number your drop down doesn't offer as a choice. I had to putt 9.4)
When I look up the account the "password" is a long string of gobbledygook. Something I would never do.
But when I attempt to use that pw I still can't get in.
I have no trouble accessing that email account on my mac mini. Just on the macbook.

I'm confess I'm still trying to get a handle on your problem. You do a fantastic job of describing it ... but I'm just trying to picture it accurately in my head.
I think, were I in your shoes, I'd begin by looking at what the debug page has to say for the specific destination in which you're interested in fixing. In other words, I'm not clear on where, exactly, this destination points ...

Is that your site, or the division within your site that you want to fix? "Normally", you do not need to specify a site handle to get to your site within your transfer CGI ... if you say "uillinois.edu", it's enough to transfer your users to iTunes U ... but every site still has a handle, and you could, if you wanted to, actually specify it in your transfer CGI. For example, this:

is for my entire site ... it's my site handle. Whereas this:
Destination uic.edu.1991288441
is for a division within my site ... but it's impossible to tell the difference between "site" and "division" from just the handle (I mean, if I didn't say "this is a site" and "this is a division", there'd be no way for you to know). So when I look at your creds and permissions on your debug page, I can't quite tell if they give you download access for your site, or for the specific division you want to fix. If you could open the debug page with your division as destination (or confirm that that's what we're looking at), it'd rule out some things. -
I can no longer buy, download, or update apps/iTunes without being asked for apple ID and billing information. Even if apps are free or updating I'm asked for billing information. It's been like this for a couple of weeks after the purchase of a movie off iTunes and the purchase was successful but afterwards my App Store and iTunes stopped working properly. Help me please, thanks.

I’m giving my ipad to my sister and I had the icloud account changed. I have added new ID and deleted the old one. However when updating and downloading apps, it still asks for password to the previous account. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks very much!

Apps are tied to the Apple ID they were bought with and can not be shared with other devices that have a different Apple ID. -
my friend give me his apple id that i use to download apps and then i change its email add name and address.. now i update my iphone ios then now its asking for i cloud id and password but when i open the email add for that account its been dissabled because its been long time not used... what can i do to activate my iphone???

Trying to buy, download songs on iTunes and keeps asking for password for the account. Entering the password correctly but it keeps asking for password. Have downloaded hundreds of songs before, first time this has happend. Why?

There are a couple things that you can try to resolve this issue. First, I would recommend processing any updates needed to the computer and iTunes. You can check for updates in iTunes by selecting the help menu and check for updates. If iTunes is on the current version, see the article below.

Keep being asked for password: Mail Help unhelpful
Last week I had to trash my keychains/passwords on the recommendation of Skype help. It solved my immediate problem but now I get asked for a password every time I launch Mail.
I've tried Mail help and got the following advice:
"To change the keychain lock settings:
Open Keychain Access, located in Applications/Utilities (or click the link provided on this page).
Select your login keychain, choose Edit > "Change Settings for Keychain 'login'."
To reduce the number of requests for your keychain password, deselect the option for the number of minutes of inactivity before the keychain is locked, or increase the number of minutes. You can also deselect "Lock when sleeping" option."
Trouble is, I see nothing that resembles a "login keychain".
Is the above the advice I need. If yes, what/where is my login keychain; if no, what now?Thanks for the feedback. This means the login keychain itself was "there", just inaccessible for some reason. The actual keychains are stored in one of the following locations, depending on their applicability:
/System/Library/Keychains/

login, in particular, being different for each user, is stored in ~/Library/Keychains/.
On my system, the System keychain is stored in /Library/Keychains/. Do you see a System keychain in more than one of the aforementioned locations? Maybe that's the reason you see more than one instance of it in Keychain Access.
I'm wondering now if the problem was just that there was something wrong with the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.keychainaccess.plist preferences file. Guess we'll never know what happened here.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there. -
I'm not able to use my mac book because i didnt set up a keychain before the new IOS was installed, I've created a keychain on my phone but as of yet have recieved no info as to how to get onto my macbook because irts continueously asking for a "keychain passcode" which apparently I dont have.... I've tried literally every passcode ive ever had for anything and nothing works... please help me :-*(
I responded to your first post and assumed that you didn't have a computer. If I was wrong, I apologize for misreading your question.
Did you totally erase the device and not restore from a backup? If you totally erased the device and set up as new, the passcode should not be on the device. -
Did 6.1 update no issues, now keeps asking for apple id password
Did the update, all seemed fine, phone reappeared in the window like it should. Only problem is it keeps popping up asking me to enter my apple I'd password. Any ideas?
Quite a few people seem to be having this problem, myself included. I've noticed that it's Facetime that seesm to be the problem. For some reason, it doesn't like it when you sign in. If you do sign in, it will log out as well as your iMessage account. You can have iMessage logged in but you can't have Facetime.
I did a complete restore from backup but that didn't help at all. It only wasted 3 hours of my life as I waited for the phone to reinstall 6.1 and all of the apps, music, movies, etc.
I'm still searching for a solution. -
Can't update apps. Ipad asking for password to old email address
I I'd updated my email address several months ago. The App Store app worked fine. Now all of a sudden it's asking me to log in using the old email address and wants the old password. In settings for both the App Store and iTunes are correct. I can sign out and sign in from the settings menu but cannot update my apps through the App Store app itself. This just started today. How do I fix this?
IIf you got the app with your old email you can not change it, you need to update it with your old one. If you get any app with one email you can only use one email. Even if you log into your new email from itunes( scroll under and click on the email and sign out and log in with new email) it still won't let you do it with your other email. Sorry. You can not use different emails for some things. You can go to settings-iTunes and AppStore- update apps( it means it will automatically update apps) it does work, but uses a lot of battery usage. I hve had it on for a long time but I don't mind. hope this helped.

Being asked for password using "boot to xp" terminal server command
I have XP partitioned on my Mac and I've always used a command shortcut I found on the internet that I put into terminal server called "boot to xp." I click on the alias I created, click "run" and it re-boots the system into xp.
Now, I click on the alias, click run, and I receive a prompt asking me for a password with a message stating "type your password to allow boot to xp to make changes."
I'm not sure what I've done to cause this but I'd like to turn it off. I had two accounts on this mac...one I use all the time and one called "admin." I never used the "admin" and had "admin rights" on this account so I deleted the one I called "admin" when this problem started. That didn't help.

first, drop the bootcamp drive onto the script You only need to do this once). it will prompt you for you admin name and password. now you can simply run the app to reboot into windows. the password will be stored in the script but at least it's not simply entered there in plain text form as you did. It's still possible to get the password out of my script too but it requires a bit more skill. -

thanksWell, you or someone had to elect to encrypt your backup. This can also be enforced by an Exchange account if you have such on your phone. Regardless:
If on a Mac, and you elected to save such to your Keychain, you can recover it from your Keychain. Otherwise, you can't.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable. -
