Updated to itunes 10.5 and now I can't access itunes store.

Upgraded to the new Itunes 10.5 over a week ago and cannot access itunes store. I've done every troubleshooting step and unistalled reinstalled multiple time. WTH!

I made some progress. The problem is thatiTunes is looking for a certain LSP (Layered Serviice Provider). Some antivirus software (PCTools in my case, wants another one.
1) Disable andy spyware
2) run command "netsh winsock reset" and reboot.
3) Voila it works.
I don't know all the consequences of this change but somebody is going to need their products' code.
Be careful, I know this works for me, but your mileage may vary.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode.

Let it go... these DL's take forever, depending on the spped of your connection and the traffic on the servers.
If by morning it is still sitting there restart and the DL should pick up from where it left off.

Computer crashed during update and now I can't access iTunes Store!

Hi! I was going to update my iTunes to the latest version, but my computer crashed halfway through. Ever since then, I can't access the iTunes store! I don't know whether trying to update it again would fix the issue?
Also, when choosing to update it brings me to the "download iTunes" page, it looks like the page you go to when you first download iTunes, and I don't want it to just download a new iTunes and not update my current one. I don't want it to affect my library.

Help! Updated to OS X Mavericks and now I can't access internet pages?

I can access the initial "home" webpage but if you try to click on any of the tabs on the website it give the following error:
Request-URI Too Large The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity.
I do have Webroot SecureAnywhere installed on this Mac but I've even tried disabling that and still not working!
Anyone else having issues? Any guidance/help would be most appreciated.

I also had Webroot installed and didn't have the problem you had after updating to Mavericks, but I did get a pop-up message that Webroot isn't compatible with Mavericks. I've uninstalled it for now and hope to hear soon that it's been updated as I really like Webroot.

Updated to 7.1.1 and now I can't access my google calendars

Updated to 7.1.1 today and my google calendar items are no longer listed on my calendar. Go to Settings and then
Mail, Contacts and Calendars and scroll down to the bottom for calendars and it no longer lists the option to view
additional calendars. I deleted my gmail account in the settings and added it back but it still doesnt show up to
allow me to select my google calendars. UGH

Since I deleted all my accounts already this is what worked I don't know why.
Under “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts”
I added my google account “add account” “Google”... so on. Calendar was selected.
I added a second account “add account” “other” (at bottom) scroll down to “add CalDav Account” under calendars.
Server= www.google.com
user name = your email
password = your password
description = whatever
Calendar was selected.
Then I went to “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and down towards the bottom I clicked “default calendar” and set it.

Hi, just installed iTunes 9 and advised when trying to purchase a film and now I can't access the store. I can access my account etc but just get a blank screen when trying to access store! Have tried technical support but they say it's my computer's problem. Why? when I was on the iTunes store 10 minutes previous! I have exactly the same problem. I haven't had access to the iTunes Store since upgrading to 9.0.1 nearly two months ago and none of the suggested fixes have worked for me. I use iolo as my firewall. Does anyone have any ideas?

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Similar problem here. iTunes11 notified me it was available. However, auto-update failed. So, I downloaded for manual update. That failed with "permission" message. I am administrator on this machine (WIN7). I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue. I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message. So, I'm completely dead in the water. Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?
