Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Hi,
What security software is running on the PC? The security software could be causing the issue, try to reconfigure or temporarily disable it.
You can also try flushing the DNS as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1527

  • Itunes won't connect to store, or stream music after 10.5 update

I downloaded and ran the Itunes 10.5 executable to update to the latest version
When I start Itunes I get an error message that Itunes could not connect to the ITunes Store. The network connection timed out.
I ran the diagnostics, and a secure link to the store failed, though the internet connection was verified. When I tried to open the help file, it said that Itunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connect to the internet.
Edit: Itunes will no longer play any music streams

I am having a similar problem. I have two alienware laptops. One is brand new and the other is a few years old. The old one has been updated to windows 7 32 and the new iTunes works fine with it. The new one is the 64 bit and iTunes store and safari no longer work on it. When I try to acces the iTunes store it goes into turbo (overclock) mode and after a minute just displays a white page for iTunes store. When I ran diagnostics it says everything is working properly. Safari does the same thing. Turbo and a white page. I have been trying to fix this all day with out any success. I even completely restored the computer to see if that would help. I hope someone can figure this out before I have a melt down

  • After the last update my iTunes won't connect to the store

I'm not sure what happened but after my iTunes updated to version 10.5 I can't connect to the store.  I called in once and the person had me uninstall itunes and a few other things and then reinstall and it worked for a day and then iTunes updated again for some reason and once again I can't connect to the store.  Any suggestions?

Hey, I had the same problem with the itunes not connecting to the store thing, I recommend checking your firewall and stuff make sure itunes (or safari) is not blocked, if everything is ok with that (apple apps not blocked), Uninstall Itunes, safari, quicktime icloud and whatever apple app you have on your computer. and get an earlier version.... the problem in some cases? Apple Application Support on itunes 10/quicktime 7 and later, a flaw that apple has to work on I recommend downloading a earlier version of itunes

  • IOS 8.2 , iPhone 6 plus , iTunes won't connect to store

since updating my phone iTunes no longer accepts my account or password giving me can't connect to store error message.
WOrked before , worked to sign in to here but won't on the phone.

As provided else where  Store is currently unavailable probably since it is the middle of the night on West Coast when Apple would do maintenance
it is nothing to do with iOS 8 or any other iPhone issues
The servers are not available regardless of the method used to access Mac Windows PC etc etc

  • Itunes won't connect to store on itunes

My Itunes takes forever to load on my compu ter with Windows 8. My library will load eventually but it won't connect to the store. I have unistalled and re-insltalled new version of Itunes several times.  Any suggestions?

drop your security software and windows firewall.  open itunes in safe mode under a new user

  • ITunes won't connect to store Macbook 2, 1

I have a late 2007 Macbook 2,1 that won't connect to the iTunes store or the App Store through wifi.  It will work fine if it is connect with the ethernet cable.  I've tried this on many different wifi networks and it has the same problem.  I'm running Mac OSX 10.7.5 and iTune 11.0.2.  It actually has never worked on previous versions of iTunes as well.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Ok, I figured it out.  It was a problem with my proxy settings.  Go to System Preferences> Network> Click on Advanced.  Then click on the proxies tab.  Then make sure only Automatic Proxy Configuration is checked.
That's how I was able to fix the problem.

  • ITunes won't recognise my iPod. tried everything!

    hmm...yes, well...
i reformatted my computer a couple of weeks ago..i backed up all my music on an external hard drive. the whole process was absolutely painless until i tried to sync my 5th gen 60gb iPod to my recovered itunes library. if iTunes (7) is running and i plug in the iPod, iTunes freezes for a while, unfreezes, and then...does nothing. if i close itunes at this point and then reopen it, it doesn't appear for about 7 minutes then appears and syncs my iPod perfectly! further problems occur when i try to eject it, however...it causes iTunes to freeze alltogether which leaves me with no other choice but to end the programme. I've tried everything i can think of...i ran the "iPod diagnostics" and it gives a green light on the first three tests and then a red on the "iPod connection status". i've tried everything on the help page the diagnostics screen leads me to (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716) and nothing has had any effect. i've also tried restoring the iPod but that also causes iTunes to freeze! please help..
PS. apologies for incoherence and computer ineptitude..

    remove itunes and quicktime

  • My iPad won't connect to wifi, tried everything!

It worked fine for about a week, then I left the house and when I returned it just will not reconnect. I've tried everything including resetting the network settings numerous times, turning my actual modem on and off but nothing works, help? I've also checked, it's not just my wifi that's broken as my mum also has an iPhone and an iPad, it's just mine that won't work.
    Any suggestions?!

    Hi Moniica,
Does your Wifi network show on your phone, but when you select it, it just doesn't connect?
If that is the case, (I know this sounds lame but), stand very close to the router and then select it.
I had the same issue, and when I went over and stood next to my router and selected it, it finally connected. Once it connected, it was fine (I am not permanently sitting next to my router in order to read my mail....)
It's worth a shot! It worked for me....
    Cheers,

  • ITunes won't connect to store on Win7 64bit and iTunes 10.6.7.1 but connects fine on iPhone 4

    Hi,
I am unable to connect to the store on iTunes 10.6.7.1 on Win7 64 bit.  From my iPhone I can connect to the store.  Any thoughts?

Could you walk us through what happens (when you attempt to connect to the store on the PC) in some more detail, please?

  • ITunes won't connect to store in Windows 7

When I try to get to the store, I get a message that reads:
Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
I made sure that I ran this as administrator and it still does it.
I don't know if this helps, but I can't get into other online games I have as well. This is a new laptop with Windows 7. I turned off the firewall for testing and I still can't connect to anything.
I read that iTunes goes through Internet Explorer to connect and to make sure that we aren't using a Proxy Server. I did this and we are set to automatically detect settings. It still didn't connect.
It was then that I found out that other online games aren't connecting that I have. I'm not sure what to do and would appreciate anything.

This is the exact same thing that I am having an issue with. Checked all my settings and preferences. I am logged in as the Admin. I have been searching and searching for a solution. I dont have this issue on any other computer so I am sure it is related to Windows 7.
    Grrrr.....

  • ITunes won't connect to store so I can look at my purchased history using my iPad.

I have a iPad and I'm trying to view my purchased history for iTunes but it keeps telling me that it can't connect to the store. I just got charged $32 and they didn't send me an email so I have know idea what I got charged for. Is anyone else having problems connecting to iTunes to view their purchased history using the ipad? And is there something I can do to fix it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use one of these program
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

  • ITunes won't open, I've tried everything

I am hoping that someone can help as I've been having this problem since 3/23. My iTunes will not open. Everytime I try I get the generic "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have checked for problems with quicktime. Quicktime works fine. I have tried setting up a new user account to see if it works there, it does not. I have tried a system restore on my laptop, I have run a registry cleaner, I have done everything short of offering my first born to get it to work. Please help. I really hate having to use windows media player. Thank you so much!

ya, I have the same problem. Restarting the computer seems to make iTunes work again, at least for me, but even after doing that, iTunes still stops working a lot. I wish they could just come out with that update that will fix all this. If i find anything that might fix it, I'll reply again and tell you how to fix it, 'cause I've been trying to fix this thing almost all day everyday.
