Check inside your spam folder.
It was the same email address though. So I don't know. Isn't the Apple ID our email address?
If that is what you use.  Mine is a junk mail addy.

  • Updated to Mavericks; Now Calendar doesn't work.

I recently updated my MacBook to Mavericks. When I try to open up my calendar, it becomes inactive and says that it is "Moving calendars to server account". This never goes away even after a few days and then I have to end up force qutting it. How should I fix this?

  • HT204308 Did software update today and now iPhoto is not working.  I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

Did software update today and now IPhoto is not working.  Operating system is OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

What OS X version did you upgrade from? What iPhoto version did you have before upgrading? You cannot upgrade a version of iPhoto from a pre-10.10.2 OS X version installation. You needed iPhoto 9.6.1.

  • How to fix iPad. My iPad automatically updated itself. Now it doesn't work.

How do I fix my iPad? Today my iPad automatically updated itself. Now it doesn't work.
A red square fills up the screen. Then it goes to an ad for Office. It flips to various apps without touching it.
I tried restarting it several times. This is a disaster. My mother 91 yrs. old has been keeping busy playing
puzzles on my iPad. Now she is driving me crazy telling me to just "plug it in"  lol
    HELP!

Try a reset first. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up.

  • Upgraded my iMac to the new OS X Mavericks now iPhoto will not work.

I up graded my imac to OS X Mavericks now my iphoto will not work, it says there is an upgrade for iphoto available but will not let me upgrade with my apple id, can i delet iphoto and reinstall it with my apple id without loosing all my photos it was working fine till the OS upgrade.

1 - the iPhoto application and the iPhoto library (where you pictures are stored) are separate
2 - deleting the iPhoto application will not help
3 - if you log into the App store using the Apple ID that was used to install iPhoto  (or set up the computer) you should be able to upgrade the application
4 - Apple ID issues can not be solved here  - contact the App store support - link is on the right of the App store window

  • I renamed the card reader and now iPhoto doesn't work

i am using a card reader to upload photos to iPhoto. everything works fine until yesterday i renamed the card reader icon (the icon always says "Untitled" but i renamed it to something else) and now it doesn't read anymore. the warning says "Unreadable Files: 1" it's in unrecognized format. i wonder if it has anything to do with renaming the file. what can i do and how can it fix this?

    Possibly
iPhoto does not see your card reader - it sees the card so renaming it might create a problem since you are writing to the card
Do you have photos on it you need to save? If so give image capture a try (it is in your applications folder) or use the finder -- once you have your photos off of it user your camera to reformat the card (the camera's format command) and see if that cures it (it probably will go back to untitled)

  • Update OS X now PDFGrabbit doesn't work.

I downloaded the new OS X 10.9, but now cups-pdf to grabbit doesn't work. I reinstalled pdfgrabbit, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

  • I have just updated to OS X Maverick and now iPhoto doesn't work it says this version of iPhoto can't be used. What do i need to do to get my photos back?

I have just updated to OS X Maverick and now my IPHOTO Version 9.2.3 doesnt work. How do i get my photos back?
Any help much appreciated as i'm not a computer person.

    Best.

  • I had to reinstall my OS and now iPhoto doesn't work.

Can I reinstall without having to re-purchase? My computer was going slow so Apple support suggested that I do a TimeMachine backup, clear the computer and reinstall the OS. I have been having problems ever since and my computer STILL runs slow. Right now my issue is with iPhoto. I had the same issue w/ iMovie but was able to copy it from my external hard drive to my laptop to get it to work. That is not working w/ iPhoto.

How big is your HD and how much free space on it?
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • I added a new hard disk now iPhoto doesn't work - help?

I had to have a new internal hard drive and even though some of my work was recoverable from the old disk I cannot now use iPhoto or iPages or Keynote or Numbers. What can I do to recover these apps?

    Reinstall them from source.

  • Update to Yosemite now iPhoto does not work

Upgraded to Yosemite. Now the iPhoto says that I need to upgrade to the latest version. It goes on to say that "The version of iPhoto installed on this Mac is not compatible with OS X Yosemite. Download the latest version for free from the Mac App Store". I then search the app store and it says "The item you've requested is not currently available in the Canadian Store". What do I do? Thank you for any help.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

  • I updated my computer, now Safari doesn't work.

I installed three updates for my computer earlier today, one for iTunes, one for Quicktime, and the last was for Java (I think, I don't usually pay much attention and just trust that they're all good updates). Since I did that, I can't get Safari to work. Firefox works just fine, but I can't get Safari to do a single thing. I open it, and it immediately freezes.
It doesn't freeze in the way I'm used to programs freezing, I just don't know how else to quickly describe it. What happens is it opens, doesn't load the home page, the spinning rainbow appears if I try to click anything and doesn't go away. I let it "load" for 60 minutes even, and nothing happened. I end up having to force quit it each time. I've also restarted my computer twice.
Sorry for being so wordy, but I'm a bit flustered because I had a bookmark I needed for school tomorrow in there.

Well, I don't know what happened, but I clicked the link in my email to this post, and Safari opened as if nothing was ever wrong.
However, I'll post the most recent crash report (from Sept. 6th, which was before I had this problem) just incase anything else happens:

I have a couple of comments:
    1.  Your explanation of what you did and what you want is a bit vague - you put in code and it didn't show and now it does but you don't want it to?  Can you say exactly what you want to achieve?
    2.  A PSD to HTML conversion is not suitable for any use on the web.  It's strictly intended for rapid prototyping - that means it's only useful under very controlled 'demonstration' conditions.  Are you sure you want to move ahead with this approach?  (I would not)
    3.  The code you posted produces 29 errors when submitted to the W3C validator
    (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jahanas.com%2FDealer_Impact%2Fmockup-4. html&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0).
    Some of these are significant.
It may be time to punt....

    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
