Updated to new IOS

after i did this my battery only last about 1 hour now, it would last about 8 hours prior to the update, i have done restores and everything and it just stays the same. Also now i get this error code also when i plug into itunes. 0xe80000a. I called support they told me to buy a new battery or try restore. They have no idea any other ways please help.

See this support document regarding the error you describe http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3221 If you are restoring from a backup, you are just putting whatever corrupt data you might have back on the phone. Try to restore as a new device, not from a backup.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

After updating the new ios in my iphone5, i can't use my phone because of the hardware as per the MAC specialist told me.

I am currently using iphone5 and I updated it last Saturday (August 2, 2014) for the new ios. After a day, the problem came out wherein it is automatically turn off then when you open it, command errors are coming out. I tried to restore it using itunes but error is occurred during the restoration. The MAC specialist I consulted suggested me to trade in my phone but unfortunately I don't have any cash for it. Why is it like that, I just updated the new Ios then all of a sudden I can't use my phone at all... I hope Apple Company can help me, its not any misused problems but a hardware or technical one by Apple.

Yes lucky me . If all troubleshooting has been done in Resolve iOS update and restore errors and if you have at least taken it into a store where they could try a restore themselves then that would suggest a hardware fault with the iPhone.
If you are out of warranty then it is correct that they would quote you an out of warranty service fee. From here it would be a matter of trying the steps above and if you have already tried then doing the service when you do have the cash.

I have the same problem and I haven't solved it yet. On Friday I plugged in my iPad to my work computer after not having done so for quite a while. Today I went onto the work computer and discovered I had not updated iTunes before plugging in the iPad (and which I cannot do without an administrator password). I guess I will update iTunes and try again when I can get the guy to show up with the password. I hope that works. The reset idea does not work on mine.
Was your iiTunes updated before you tried? Have you found any solution yet? Mail and some internet apps still work but games, notes applications, spreadsheets etc. just begin to open and close immediately.

also must mention i have never had trouble that i couldn't fix on itunes but all of this has started since i have been using icloud for basic backups hope this helps solve problem

I tired reboot the phone and placing the DFU BUT still the phone reverts back to itunes logo and ucb connection sceen

Place the device in DFU mode, connect to the computer and restore.

Apps are not being transferred after updating to new iOS

I've read a few posts but nothing explicitly about this issue. I am the original account owner, same computer, iPod has worked with the same apps for over a year until I updated to the new iOS a few days ago.
I recently updated my iPod Touch to the new iOS a few days ago; it transferred all my music, and everything else, except for my apps. I tried Store > Authorize this Computer on my desktop (which reminded me I'm still authorized, oh joy) as well as Settings > Store on my iPod. I'm not sure what I need to do next? Any suggestions would be greatly beneficial! Thanks!

Before I updated to iOS 5.0.1, I was given 3 options "Download and Update", "Download", "Cancel" (or whatever). I chose to just download, without installing it, which would allow me to back-up all the data from my iPod to my desktop. I presume that path wasn't available if someone selected "Download and Update" immediately which informed me that it would erase all data without actually backing up before it installed. I'd have to assume at that point when your apps were re-installed after your update, it would still keep the previously saved sync data from the last time you plugged into your computer. I'm not sure if that was the case for you, but I never signed in to Game Center until now so I'm not sure how that works. This is also considering that iCloud was just introduced to mobile devices. On the 5S, that is a message that means that you need to restore the device using iTunes. If the device isn't being recognized, you may need recovery mode.

Why can't I update to new iOS on my iPod Touch 3rd generation

My iPod Touch says it is up to date when I update. I have iOS 5.1.1. I would like to install some additional apps on the device but a message says I have to have a newer iOS (at least 6.0). How do I resolve this issue? I have the 64 GB model 1318 (3rd Generation) and still have plenty of room to update the OS. I did a back-up today so that I wouldn't lose any data. Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
