    Does iTunes not see the phone?
    If not, make sure you're running the current version of iTunes.

    As for iPhoto, you will have to purchase a newer version. It's not a free upgrade. Or, you can use Image Capture, which is built into OS X, to import the photos.

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    If you've already tried something like the above then try opening iTunes in safe mode (press and hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases. You may find that iTunes opens normally now.

    It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy.  I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA.  The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s).  iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
    The problem arises when you want to update an app.  If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID.  Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started.  It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID.  Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
    A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
    If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
    One last thought...  If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem.  Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue.  Apple believes that money is owed on the account!

    I was having the same problem using ADE 4.0.2 and Mac 10.10.1. I finally gave up and deleted ADE version 4 and reinstalled version 3.0.  Works fine, and I can check out ebooks for my Nook using ADE.

  • Dreamweaver cc will not open, msg says it has quit working

    I am on windows 7  After three days of no dreamweaver I uninstalled and then reinstalled thru the creative cloud.
    Unfortunately the same error message is coming up.  Just says it has quit working..
    I tried going to the internet options, settings, for Lan and unchecked the use proxy, and checked auto detect has has been told in here, but did not help.
    after that I went to OObe file in appdaa and removed the .db  file that was also told on here to be another thing to do.
    IAs I am still getting same error  Adobe Dreamweaver cc has quit working.
    Notes:  I checked other CC apps, like AI and DW CS6 and fireworks all opened in normal window as expected, so this is peculiar to Dreamweaver cc.  I hope I have given enough info for some bright forumn expert to help me.
    I have enjoyed the crfeative cloud, and the price is ok, but if its just going to go away and no one seems to know what to do, I am at a loss.

    sorry but I really have to resist. As strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
    Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try - like you did by using Windows alone-  to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

    I had this problem.  I held down the power switch to power down completely.  Takes a few seconds.  Then use the power switch to turn on.  Might take a couple goes.

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

    OK..this forum help me locate my iPhoto so HOPEFULLY ya'll can help me w/ 1 another issue. When I open an event in iPhoto...I can see the pics but when I click on the event itself a HUGE exclamation mark pops up and not my pic. Its really weird that I can see the pic but cant open it. Hopefully we can correct this issue.     The two problems are related.
    The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    And that's why you can't export as well.
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

    Are any of your other applications going wonky, or is it just Logic?
    I'm afraid I've never heard of this particular problem before, but if it were happening to me the first thing I would do is delete my "com.apple.logic.express.plist" file in Library>Preferences, then repair permissions in Disc Utility, and finally restart my computer.  Then I would launch Logic and see if the problem has been corrected.  It's amazing how much these two steps can accomplish.
    If that doesn't resolve the issue I would launch Logic and go to Preferences>Audio Units Manager to see if all my plug-ins are properly validated.
