Updated to V12 phone got into restart loop

I have just updated to the v12 on my N97. the phone boots up ok, I see lots of things starts to run and then when it is about time to go to lightsoff mode the phone restarts. I updated this phone on a very busy schedule. I do not have time to reinstall everything probably for another 10 days. If someone has a quick way of solving this problem I will gladly appriciate. If no I guess back to old N95. It is so pity even the software update messes this phone up. Seriously why the N97 does not work?

hey do you have a memory card? did you try restarting it in the offline mode first without sim?

Itunes 7 crashing, 5th gen ipod put into restart loop

Okay, I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still every time I update my ipod it itune 7 crashes and my ipod has not been put into a loop restart mode where only the apple icon comes on and then the thing turns off only to turn on and do the same again! I have 30GB 5th generation ipod and I am not having any luck, is there just a glitch in the itune that everyone is experiancing or is it just me?

Don't worry, I fixed this myself. I had to wipe my ipod and the start putting the music back on mannually. For anyone witht he same problem, don't lose heart. It can be fixed. Just put it in disk mode and keep wiping everything off it and then slowly experiment putting one song on at a time. Hopefully itunes 7 won't be a brat and freeze on you, but it'll work. I deleted everything from the ipod (went into my computer and opened all the files accessible to me, and deleted eveything in there. Renamed the ipod, and yeah...there we go. I hope it works for you too if you have a simular problem.

Win 8.1 goes into restart loop

I have an hp touchsmart tm2 2100 notebook. It originally came with win 7. Now I have installed win 8.1 but it does not give a display on multimedia ( i am a teacher and have to do a lot on multimedia). when I upgrade the driver, it goes into a restart loop and continues for a while. At the end, it gives a restore or advance repair options. I go into the safe mode and uninstall the intel graphic driver. It comes back to its originla position.
Please any suggestions on how to sort this out.

New battery fitted recently to replace a faulty one (allegedly). Battery has since been on 1% but lasted all day, I charged it every night to ensure it would not go off. Ran ios 6.0.2 update and now phone will not restart or charge and i cant restore HELP

Says it all in the question really, but just to clarify: Once upon a time I took out a contract and got my very own iphone4s more or less straightaway I could tell the battery charge was faulty, I was told by a member of the genius bar that this was normal, it wasnt normal I could literally watch it count down and it just got worse. It got to the point where I couldnt use the phone anymore so after taking it to various places I had the battery replaced (all in all this cost around £100) and it worked 'normally' for about half a day until the phone suddenly reached 1% and has stayed at this % ever since- not ideal but it would stay on all day and ive managed to use the phone fine. I would keep it charged overnight as i usually would but even after 8 hours of charging it still said 1%, I downloaded battery apps they all told me the battery was empty even when it was still on 1%. Lastnight I decided to update to i.0.s 6.0.2 I kept it on charge to do it but when it went to restart it would not turn back on. Im now stuck with a phone that actually has a new battery but the phone somehow doesn't recognise that it has a battery, I can't restore on itunes as it will not charge at all not even to get the apple symbol. Ive spent alot of money trying to resolve this already and have been told that the battery is not covered with the warranty so I wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Unless Apple replaced your battery, and it appears they didn't, you're pretty much on your own now. Have you tried going back to whoever replaced your battery? That's gonna be your only choice now, because if a third-party replaced your battery, Apple won't touch your phone now.

10.9.1 Update Sent My MacBook Pro Into Boot Loop

Like the title says, I updated to 10.9.1 and it sent my MacBook Pro (13" Early 2011 i5 16GB RAM 1333MHz) into a Kernel Panic and/or Kernel Trap which resulted in my system being stuck in a boot loop!
While I'm already dealing with another issue regarding Mavericks on my laptop this was the last thing I needed to happen! What I ultimately tried was booting into Safe Mode (hold down Shift immediately after you hear the boot chime), and clear out my ~/Library LaunchAgents folder and my /Library LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folders. While it knocked my computer out of the boot loop, it didn't solve my other issue.
Anyone have any ideas why 10.9.1 would cause a boot loop?
Just wanted to share this info with anyone in case they're concerned about upgrading to 10.9.1.

Uninstall Trusteer Rapport. Your Mac cannot operate properly with it installed.
Be sure to follow its uninstallation instructions, and do not use any so-called "cleaners" or "zappers" to uninstall it.
Uninstalling Rapport on Mac OS X
You should back up your system prior to making any changes. Is there a reason you are not using Time Machine?
May I suggest that you review the following setting in System Preferences?
Although you may easily override that setting, it will serve to protect you from inadvertently installing garbage.
Update to OS X 10.9.4 using the App Store. Install all Apple updates. Your report indicates you are still using an earlier release.

P67A GD65 System build First startup goes into restart loop

I just build a p67a GD65 System i am an experienced system builder testing out on a cardboard surface after the system would not boot.
Using corsair Vengence ddr 3 ram
Coolmaster silent pro 800 W power supply
Hyper 212 plus cooler
2600k processor
After the continuous loop i tested power supplies swapped them and got the same problem
Then i got a clean cardboard box and started troubleshooting now the system, even barebone with the essential hardware only won't boot at all I do however see the green power light go on and OC genie light, light up when i press the power button but the system won't budge, I'm wondering if this is a bad processor or motherboard? I am leaning towards a bad mobo as these problems with this particular MSI board have been rampant.
Just to add none of the bios LED's light up.

I have a question crxer, does the OC Genie Light come on and stay on, or does it turn off? If it stays on then you have the OC Genie Button pushed in and you're trying to overclock the system right off the bat which you don't want to do, and that could be why the constant power cycling because of an OC failure.
Not that this is similar to your problem, but I had a Z68A-GD65(B3) which gave me nothing but problems with overclocking and the the dual bios feature. I would get the power on recycling a few times every time I tried any OC and reboot whether by using the OC Genie button or manual OC, but it would then eventually boot. Mine would also give me the Bios LED coming on in all the different configurations telling me the primary bios failed or secondary or both but I was always able to re-flash the primary bios and the board was never bricked. You're not having that problem thank goodness.
I am a very experienced builder and troubleshooter and tried everything to isolate the problem and make that Z68A board work, but to no avail, which is why I returned it to Newegg and replaced it with a MSI P67A-GD55(B3) shown in my signature, which is similar to your GD65 and it works perfectly with all the same components as I used on the Z68A-GD65(B3), and I have it manually OC'd it to 4.3 Ghz which is good enough for now. I imagine you are talking about iPhone 4 CDMA (Verizon, Sprint). iTunes will only allow Update or Restore to iOS 6.0.1 You need to update iTunes on your computer to current version 10.7, with computer click the iTunes Tab at the top of this page and install current iTunes 10.7 If this iTunes will not install you may need to update your computer System, or try a different computer.

While updating phone got stuck in recovery loop

This morining i wanted to update my iphone 4 to iOs 7.1.1
It started and the 'veryfing' sing came up. the phone then shut down and the screen 'connect to itunes' came up and nothing else happened. So i found out that my phone got stuck in the recovery loop. During the day i tried different ways to get out of that mode. By now the phone wont even connect to itunes.
What can i do?

Treo 700p Updated Versamail to 3.5.4 and immediately went to a restarting loop...

I'll tell you the whole story so you can feel sorry for me and help.
I was trying to update my step-mom's versamail so she could get her office e-mails for her trip today. Well, she had never plugged in her treo into her computer before, so I had to install palm desktop, etc. The phone synced and it said it was backing up a lot of stuff, but I noticed it didn't update versamail. So I ran the installer, and everything appeared to install fine. The phone reset itself, showed the access powered (i think) screen and then the palm screen, and then it reset it self and did it again.
This went on for a good 5-10 minutes before I called it quits. I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, but still did the restart loop. Well it came time for her to go, and she absolutely needed the phone. So I had to do a hard reset so she could use it this weekend. After the hard reset I synced it again to see if I could get the backup data on there. After it loaded everything it went back to the reset loop. So I hard reset it again, and gave it to her. She brought her laptop that I used to do the syncing, so I'm hoping I can have a fix for her soon.
Basically my questions are:
- What happened to cause the loop?
- How do I get all her info back on her phone without it causing the loop? (most important question)
- How do I install versamail without it causing the loop?

Looping resets are caused (Most of the time) by corruptioncoming over from the PC. The way to prevent this is to rename the backupfolder. (C:/Program Files/Palm/Hotsync username/Backup)
Then try to reinstall VersaMail.

ONLY the carrier an iPhone is locked to can authorize unlocking it. If you went through the carrier and had it legitimately unlocked, then updating it will not change this. If you used any other method to unlock it, or had it "unlocked" by a local shop, updating will re-lock it to the original carrier. It may not be possible to update it at all and attempting to do so could turn it into a brick.

Within a wk one of the new iPhones started turning on and of like 10 –15 times a day. Wk 2 it turned off and would not turn on again . It was my sons who was in college at the time so we talked and he took it in to a Verizon store where he was told I need to come in since the account was in my name. He was away from home , Verizon could see on account it was his phone they said it was not abused, they could not even turn it on , they sold me the phone give him another phone maybe even a loaner till he gets another. So now I need to go to store and explain to 3 different people this is my phone and my son has it and I need a new one. what a waste of time after about 2 hrs and talking to different people and yes they said there were notes on his account from other person he had talked to from different store. So I finally walk out with a receipt in hand and being told I would have a new phone in a couple days. As I sat in my vehicle thinking this is stupid I looked at my receipt and noticed it said droid on it so back into Verizon I went. The salesman said that’s what your son has on his account. My son had activated a friends old phone so he has one since VERIZON REFUSED to give him one. Another hr 3 people and yes they can see he had a new iPhone and notes on it from other store. Sometimes sorry just doesn't do it. I was now late for a appointment . Now I walk out and have been told I will get a new iPhone in the mail in about 2 wk Yes 2 wks again I bought it there just give me a new one and you send old one back. I will also get a new droid that I have to send back because they said they cant cancel it . In about 3 days I get the Droid and sent it back Verizon mistake and a waste of my time . After waiting over 2 wks and not receiving a new iPhone back to Verizon I went . I am now bitter at Verizon after doing 20 yrs of business with them. 3 people 1 hr later I was told it got delivered to my post office . I got the tracking num called the post office and they say o yes that was the droid. Simple process. If an iPhone go to the Apple Store and not Verizon
the phone from Verizon will be a refurbished device and not new unless under the 14 day worry free guarantee

A little information will be of a great help, witch iPhone did you upgrade, memory , and version of software ( iOS 8.x.x )?
Try restarting you iPhone and make sure you have a god internet connection , get as close to your wifi router (1-3 meter / 2-9 feet ) as possible. Don't use restore to factory settings before you tried other options . And most imported du you have an iCloud backup.

Stuck in Restart Loop after Software Update

I recently ran the update to 10.5.3 a few days ago, and thankfully, it's been working great... until today, when I installed two seemingly innocuous updates via Software Update: one for the latest version of Quicktime and another for Apple Brother Print Drivers 1.1. After restarting, everything fell apart. Several of my start-up apps unexpectedly quit after login, and other apps either failed to launch when I tried opening them, or they simply got stuck in an endless loop of bouncing in the dock. I couldn't even force-quit them because they weren't responding at all. Thinking this strange behavior to be symptoms of some permissions issue, I popped in the Leopard installation CD and ran a permissions repair. It fixed several cryptic problems, one for something to do with Java and another for the cups folder, which I assume has some relation to the printer driver update. I then tried selecting my start-up disk and restarting, but the problem only got worse. Now my iMac is stuck in a restart loop. I tried booting in safe mode, but that hasn't worked. If worse comes to worst, I'll have to revert to a Time Machine backup, or else run an Archive & Install, but I'm trying to avoid that. Any suggestions? I'm also curious to know if these two updates had any relevance to these problems, and if so, what the cause may be. I'm thinking the printer driver is to blame, but then again that's only a stab in the dark. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried a Safe Boot again but unfortunately that didn't work, so I had to go ahead and do an Archive & Install. Now everything is up and running; however, I'm going to stay away from that print driver until I figure out exactly what went wrong. I did a little research and saw it listed on MacUpdate.com, where it was posted along with an interesting note: apparently, the update can only be applied if there is already a Brother print driver installed (in this case there was), and in addition to that, the printer must either be connected (and I assume on for the computer to know it's connected in the first place) or have an active print queue for the update to even be listed in Software Update. Strangely enough, neither of these conditions held true when I saw it in Software Update... so I think that might have been the cause, but I can't be sure. I was wondering if anyone else has installed this update successfully, and if so, what they did?
