Updated to windows 7 adobe 8 pro will not open a ned doc
My adobe has always worked fine never had a problem till I updated my operating system from vista to windows 7.
I can open an existing doc no problem but when I open adobe 8 pro to start a new doc, adobe closes itself it will not stay open.
I then let adobe update to 8.1.6 and still the same problem.
I got one error that said I needed to activate adobe but the activation buttons are grayed out (not functioning).
I can use a little help please.

Adobe Reader / Acroabt support for Windows 7 begins with release 9.2 of Reader / Acrobat.
Adobe states that earlier releases may install / function but were not tested in Windows 7.

If Acrobat will open, go to Help>Repair to try to fix it. If not, go to Control Panel>Programs & Preferences and update from there. After the update, go back to the help menu and do the updates.

Adobe Acrobat Pro will not open
I recently purchased and installed some programs from the creative suite on my computer. All worked well for a few months but now for some reason adobe acrobat refuses to open. I have tried using the "Open PDF with..." option as well as opening from the start menu. Nothing seems to happen; no error message or anything it just does not open.
I am running windows 7 64-bit os on a lenovo w530 laptop. The computer is almost new and lighting fast so it's not an issue of just being really slow.
I would uninstall, clean, and reinstall but I'm not sure where the install file is and I believe I installed all of the creative suite at once.

Hello, every time I try to open adobe I get an error stating " a program has caused the program to operate correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Using Windows 8.1 web browser Pale Moon. I have been running this program for a year with no issues. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, using acrofix.... I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not open in Windows 8
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not open in Windows 8. It worked until 2 days ago, now it won't do anything. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no luck.
32 or 64 bit system? Have you updated Acrobat? Was anything else installed between when it worked and did not? When you say AA 9 will not open, does that mean when you have selected it in the programs list (OK, that is the metro interface if you have not installed the desktop options -- 3rd party)?

I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat Pro on my laptop. I have Suite 6 Design & Web Premium on my HP laptop. I have Windows 7 operating system. All of a sudden Acrobat Pro will not open so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the program.
The error messages I get are:

My MacBook Pro will not open documents via Adobe Reader. Says I need to aspen Reader in Browzer and accept terms and contitions first. Went through this 3 times and got through to "Finish", closed browser and then retried. No luck. What's going on?? Have no problem with same documents on iPhone and iPad
After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
What is your Adobe Reader version?
What browser are you using and browser version?

Is your computer still authorized in the Store menu in iTunes?

As a web designer - IMHO, Internet Exploder is absolute garbage disguised as software. This (and thousands of other threads in this and many other forums throughout the web) is just more proof of that. I've used Firefox since 2002 when it was still called Mozilla. It does about a million things IE can't and won't, and does them better, faster, and more sensibly.
Microsoft KNOWS that most corporate workstations have Windows and most I/T departments forbid installation of unapporved software, including browsers, so (by a very slim margin) IE is still the most used browser in the world, but... that doesn't by any means make it the best choice. Because they know so many people are literally FORCED to use it at work, they will not make it more functional than they absolutely have to, because they don't care if people like it or not, when they have no other choice.
On a home computer, it's different, and that's why Firefox is just a fraction of a percentage point behind IE in worldwide use, and thanks to iPhones, Safari is rapidly climbing the numbers too.
Rather than trying to work around something that even Microsoft won't bother to fix, abandon their junk and go with Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari. It won't be long till you're glad you did. -
