Updated today and iTunes said i had to restore. I did, now all the music on my iPod and in my library are gone. Anyway to recover that stuff?
Everythings set back to the factory settings and all my music and apps are gone. Any help?
Music is not part of the backup that iTunes makes as the first step of the update. It is synced from the iTunes library to the iPod during the later part of the update. If it was not in your library it is gone. If in the USA you can redownload music by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I accidently click on ''Import the list'' but now all the music have an exclamation point I think they are all in Musique.txt on the desk... How can i take back these music on my library? I tried : Import the list and take Music.txt , but it do not work
Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again. -

i have just updated to the newest version of ipod softare, the ipod intalled new software but now all the music and videos on it will not play, how do i fix this
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and videos and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -

I wish to transfer all the music on my ipod (synced with my home computer) to my itunes on my work computer. Is this possible? I am concerned if I plug my ipod into the work computer, which has itunes but no music content, that it will automatically sync and wipe all the content from ipod. Can anyone advise?
Only if you use a third-party utility such as Phone to PC and only if you use the same Apple ID for your other computer.

Is there any way to put all the music FROM my iPod back onto my computer? My school tech person not only wiped out my iTunes, the wiped out my back-up hard drive.
Hello cgbuehling
You can, but only the purchases that were made from the iTunes Store. Other content that was imported from a CD or other sources will not transfer over.

I have all my music on my iPod ( which includes music from all my cd's that I bought from retail stores and I no longer have), if I back it up to ITunes will I lose it even though it is in iCloud ?
Also, I can not find any of my audio books that I bought and downloaded thru iTunes, why?For music purchased from iTunes you might be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
For music copied from CDs, and for purchases if you can't redownload them, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from your iPod : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
There is also this page for syncing to a new computer (which, in effect, you will be) : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
Where are you looking for the audiobooks ? They are currently a one-time only download from the store, so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for redownloading. If you don't have them on a backup nor on your iPod (if they are on your iPod then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy them back to your computer's iTunes), then if they are still in the store then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -
Sometimes when I'm at work or just out and about I will download an album to my iPhone. It used to show up immediately in my iTunes library and I could start listening to my new music right away. It was awesome on trips or in the office or just with friends. Someone would mention a song, I beebop over to itunes, download it and BOOM everyone gets to listen to the song! Now, however, If I download any music without WiFi, it won't sync immediately to my library. It appears to be doing so, but I can't actually see any of the music until I get into a WiFi friendly area. Once I've done that, the music stays there so it's not the end of the world...I am getting my music. But, dang it, I want it now! Just like I used to!
Is anyone else having this problem? I have the iPhone 5 and it's fully updated. You will need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

I was trying to transfer the music from my iPod to my new iTunes via a third party program, and I ended up erasing all of the music from my iPod. I am unable to get onto the iTunes on my old computer, where all my music was stored, and the iTunes on my new computer, of course, has nothing in it. So now I have no music on either my iPod or iTunes. At this point, I don't really care about the things I didn't purchase from iTunes. I'm just wondering if there is any way to get all the music back that I've purchased from iTunes in the past without having to purchase it again, other than by downloading it.
You don't have to purchase it again, but you do have to download it. See Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
