Last year I got a mac OS X 10.5.8 used and I don't know the password but the computer sighs me in anyways and I don't have the original disc I have not been able to update the computer's soft wear

Firstly, I would turn off FileVault. For the vast majority of people this is unecessary.
As for the update, it requires your administrator's password so that it can install into a protected area. This is a safety feature so that it can stop people modifying these proteected areas that should be able to and makes sure you want to do it.

Why does iTunes sometimes (but not always) insist that I enter my password, even though I previously checked "Remember my password"?
On a related note, why is there an annoying modal dialog box when I click "Check for Updates" on the Applications page? It asks me if I want to view the updates - why else would I click "Check for Updates"?
Its also sometimes confused - right now it says there is 1 update, so I click "View Updates" (duh), but nothing is there.

I cant get my iphone 4 tolog in to my company wifi. i updated to ios 6 and now it just goes to my companies login screen. i enter my username and password and it just sticks. however it will logon to wifi without a requirement for a user name and password

I have to log onto my companies wifi by first going thru a log on page that equires a username and password. before i updated to ios 6. it worked fine now it just goes to the login page and when i hit enter it doesnt do anything just stays stuck on that page. however the phone will log onto a regular wifi router that doesnt require any kind of username or password. any ideas on how to fix it. i have tried everything including reseting all network settings.

I had to change my apple ID and password. When I want to update my aps. on my I phone 4S I get a box that says I need to sign in to I tunes. It has my old apple ID and I can't find any way on my phone to change the address it has in the box. Help!!

Because of a nasty virus on my computer I had to change my apple ID and password. When I went to update my apps. on my I phone 4s the box said I need to sign in to I tunes. The ID it had in the box was my old apple ID and I can't remember the password. Thank you for the help. Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID. I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone. In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one. My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID. Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

icloud just keeps bringing up my old email address & asking for my old password which doesn't exist anymore and when I try to sign out of icloud it wants my old password, when I tried to change my primary email back to the old one it wants me to verify it through an email address that doesn't exist. Please can you help me sort out this nightmare.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

APPLE TV 2 HD model and updated to latest version 6.1.1 since doing that it won't set date and time and tells me my Apple ID and password are incorrect and I know there not. What do I do?

It connects to internet fine. I have tried restoring back to factory condition and hard wire update by connecting it to my Mac mini .
The date and time won't set. And won't acknowledge my Apple ID and password......... I am usually tech savy but this has caused me grief .
Do I need to downgrade my update....
But can't get any menus until I log in my apple account...
It can't log into my iTunes account until time and date have been set.
When I did the hard wire restore connected to Mac mini it wouldn't go past the date and time screen as it wouldn't when I did the wifi update too.
it just would get past that screen.

This is the result of a network issue. Ensure port 123 on the router is open.

Unable to update apps since I have closed my Verizon e-mail account. The old ID address pops up and I can not do updates. I can not use the old password since the account is closed. I have a new ID and password on my laptop but not for my I phone.

My Verizon e-mail account is closed and I can not access the needed updates for my I phone apps. Even if I knew the password I would have to access the old e-mail account which I can not do. You don't need to access the email account.
Use the link provided by robdrage to update your old AppleID.

If it really does not work, change your password here https://appleid.apple.com (Manage account) and try to add the account again. I hope it helps.

I have 2 Apple ID's and one is disabled, it's not letting me update my password.

I have a problem and it's making me lose my mind. I have 2 Apple ID's and one is disabled. So I have like 7 apps to update and I typed in another password for my old Apple ID. When I typed it in, I knew it was disabled but it wasn't associated with my iPhone. Then it says that my Apple ID is disabled and I started to research and nothing is related. This is my only thing, please help me it's making me really mad and tired of it.

There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. If you use a new ID, you have to buy again.

On your iPad, delete the existing account then sign back in with the new ID and password.

No. purchases are forever tied to the apple ID used to buy them. Delete them and buy your own copies.
