Hi,
I have an odd bug whereby my Creative Cloud application notifies me of updates for CS6 products which have been uninstalled on my Mac, this includes Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Premier. I'm wondering if there are remaining files somewhere on my mac causing Creative Cloud to detect these non-existant products which were once installed. When I click "Update All", all CS6 products fail but CC products update successfully.

Never turn off your Mac while it is downloading, installing or updating software.
Just let Software Update do its thing.

Fail to install 13.0.2 update (HiDPI) for Photoshop CS6

Hello everyone,
I have been experiencing problems installing the update 13.0.2 for Photoshop CS6 on my Macbook pro retina. I was waiting for this update for quite a long time, since photoshop looked all blurry and pixelated on the retina display (At retina scaling). First of all I would like to thank adobe for making this update, I really believe it's taking the whole experience to a next level. So, Thank you Adobe .
Here's my problem :
First, When trying to update with Adobe Application Manager, it says that everything is up to date. I keep refreshing but nothing comes up ...
So i downloaded the update from here :

And when I try to install it I get this :
PS : I did the 13.0.1 update and i worked fine.

Not sure if this was solved for you, but this is what I did...
In terminal...
cd /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/
In there you'll see a file called: "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat"
You may need to change the permissions...
sudo chmod 666 AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
[ENTER YOUR PASSWORD WHEN PROMTED]
then ...
vim AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat and change the 1 to 0 between the word suppressed, like this...

<Preferences>
<Suppressed>0</Suppressed>
Then kill all adobe software, relaunch photoshop and go to Help>Update. Shouldn't greyed about anymore.

How do I finish downloading Adobe Download Assistant for trial CS6 Production Premium?

I cannot finish downloading the Adobe Download Assistant for the trial CS6 Production Premium because it is stuck on the "Extracting- this may take a while" phase. Before that, a prompt came up saying: "The following disk images cannot be displayed. Image: ProductionPremium_CS6," and on the other column, it read: "Reason: Invalid checksum..." I don't know what to do, please help.

I noted that one of the updates in the list for my wife's iMac was an update to Software Update itself. Probably to fix this very problem. But it wasn't being applied due to Software Update itself not working.
I considered two solutions.
(1) Uncheck all the updates except that one update to Software Update. Then after fixing Software Update, apply all the other updates remaining. I did NOT try this approach.
(2) Download and install the "combo update" for 10.6 -- from here

I decided to try solution #2. It's a large download, 1 GB, but the whole process took less than 15 minutes. The "combo" update checks and reapplies every update since the beginning of 10.6, so if something is missing or amiss, it gets filled in. It's done manually, by downloading the update, opening the .dmg file, and running the update. When I did this, it fixed the Software Update issue because I then reran Software Update and additional, new updates were found and they all installed fine. Software Update was working as it should. I then ran it a third time and some additional ones were found, also then successfully applied. Finally, no new updates were found by Software Update, which mean everything is up to date.
I can't be sure if your issue is the same as mine (the bug in the CNET article above) but I'm guessing that the combo update will resolve your issue.

CS6 Production Pro W8 install fail "OS requirements not met"

Hello. Have failed install of CS6 Production Premium.
Currently have CS-4 Master, LR-3, LR-4 installed on this machine. Because of Adobe nightmare install issues I have had on W8 with CS4 though have SN for CS6-PP have attempted install as trail.
The install failed, in the majority of cases, because "OS requirements not met", and in others as installer claimed it cannot find files.
Given my system hardware, and that an running W8 with the latest patches it is inconceivable to me that "requirements are not met".
Here is relevant system info:

Thanks, However, did not have good luck with the Adobe Cleaner Tool with CS4 install last month (am bringing a new computer to life).
Had the same odd color-profile problems (and others) with CS4 install. First tried the adobe suggested remove all profiles, then tried the Adobe Support Advisor, etc etc. Eventually gave up and ran the suggested ACT - this did allow for CS4 install to succeed (except for Flash).
However, though had chosen only CS4 clean, the ACT wiped out lightroom-3 and in addition screwed with other parts of the registry so that i had to reinstall several programs (for example Launchy) and it also wiped out everything in the create new docs reg key except for Adobe products - fortunately had backed up the reg and so was simply able to export/import to get these back (though without the adobe doc creation context menu entries!)
I have NEVER had an Adobe "Creative Suite" product install without complication - which is why I went with the trial version, as in the past have had to call Adobe because of "too many" (but all failed) installs. One time ... well no one really wants to hear about how Adobe was moving its support center, and I could not get through, and had a deadline.
Looking through the log ii see that several failed installs were of 32-bit components. As the installer correctly id'd this as a 64-bit OS (and installed BOTH the 64 & 32-bit versions of PS) perhaps this is not important (so, why then did the installer attempt to install them??)
What worries me most is the first line of the error file "WARNING: DW066: OS requirements not met for {CC006FD6-00EF-46FC-ACA0-7A28EFF44D20} Adobe Media Encoder CS6 6.0.0.0" as I have had problems with the AME before. Notably, after an update to CS4 (XPP) although the AME would load - it would not actually ENCODE anything for output but just sit there unresponsive. One wonders what "OS requirements" W8 Pro-64 does not meet.
Really, after all this time, and given how expensive the applications are one would think that Adobe could come up with an installer which works better than this.
So - again - thank you. Have poked around a bit, and as PS and PP both launch, perhaps they will work. Have not yet had the time to try encoding from CS6 - if I have problems, I will be back.

Photoshop CS6 update Appears to install CS6 Extended

I was prompted earlier to update my Photoshop CS6 which I allowed. Now when I launch Photoshop, it also launches Adobe Application Manager which informs me "Sign In Required" to register my trial software which in the title bar of Adobe Application Manager, reads: Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended.
Where did that come from? I had the standard version yesterday. I haver never downloaded a trial version of extended. Where did my standard version go?
Can i get my standard version back painlessly? I havent done the sign in as yet.
Mac OS X 10.8.2, Mid 2010 iMac with 3.6GHz core i5 intel
According to "Get Info" it is just Photoshop CS6 - No extended mentioned.

Fix update badge for uninstalled application

Hi, i'd bought an app in the Mac App Store, and downloaded it.
I played it and removed it.
In the Purchased panel i see this app ready to install, infact in my application folder there isn't the game, but at the same time in the Update panel i see an update for this app, like if the application is installed in my Mac.
I don't want to install this program, i only wish to fix this annoying problem, how can i do?
I've also tried to reinstall the app and then remove it, but it isn't fix my problem.

You cannot remove apps from the purchases list.
Do you have a Time Machine backup? If the drive with a backup has the app and is connected to the Mac, then the MAS can see the app and will advise you of updates.

I have only one Apple account but get this message when I try to update iPhoto, GarageBand and iMovie from the App Store. All this software was bundled with my Mac when I bought it last November. This happens when I am logged into the App Store with my only Aplle ID and when I am not logged in.
There appear to be a lot of Mac owners with the same problem but I have not found a solution that works for me. Apple Support does not seem to have an answer for this, which I find incredible and frustrating.
Any new ideas or fixes available?

I solved this. I had the exact same problem with my new MacBook Air 2012. I tried to install the iPhoto 9.3.1 update and got the same message you did, and I knew that I had associated my iLife '11 with the account I was using. So I followed the steps to check purchase history and saw that iTunes said "0 computers are authorized..."
In iTunes, signed in to my Mac App Store Apple ID, I went to "Store" on the menu bar and clicked "Authorize this Computer." I signed out and back in to the Mac App Store, and the update downloaded! That's it!
This must happen to people who use an Apple ID for their Mac App Store that is different from the Apple ID that they supply during their mac's setup. That one is probably automatically authorized, while the one you supply later is not. I hope you're still looking for answers and that this helps you.

Important licensing question for Adobe CS6 Production Premium (Student-Licensing)

I have a very small film production and live in a flat share with students as my roommates. One of my associates is a good friend of mine and is also very interested in movie- and film-editing.
He also asked me what softwares are available for editing movies properly so I told him about Adobe and its products especially because of the fact that I'm looking forward to purchase a licence in the future. For now I'm editing in LightWorks (Free-Version).
