Updates are downloaded in 32 bit form and 64 bit form,I have a 64 bit windows 7 operating system?
why does my windows 7 operating system 64 bit download half 32 bit important updates and half 64 bit important updates. This isnt good for smooth operation of my computer and it wastes time and space while I am trying to get work done online and the downloads are always mucking up. Why does a windows 64 operating system download any 32 bit updates.This is a big problem for me and I need some direction. thankyou

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers that are all different. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.

Most driver packages available from most computer manufacturers and chipset providers contain setup information for both 32 and 64 bit operating systems. The installer determines the version to install based on the indentified operating system. This is an industry wide pratice and nothing is wrong.

Software updates are downloaded both in the cache and softwaredistribution folder
Hello,
For the server patching, we have created Software Update groups who are deployed on collections.
These deployments are made 'available' and not required.
My question is this one when I am logged on the server, I choose an update to install, the update is being downloaded to the CCMCACHE folder
and to the \windows\softwaredistribution folder.
Is this the normal behaviour ?
Why is the update also downloaded in softwaredistribution ?
I have checked the ContentTransferManager.log and the update has been downloaded from a distribution point, not from the internet.
Is there anything that is not correctly configured ?
I have attached a screenshot showing the problem.

It's a pity that the cmcache is not used to install the updates, it's a waste of space (we still have very old servers with limited space). But ok, we will used a script to clean the folder from time to time.
I took a better look at the windowsupdate.log and the update is really installed from the softwaredistribution folder.

The page that is provided to download iTunes 12.1 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615) points to another page (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) in which it is indicated that the following is required:
64-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer
Where can this installer be downloaded? It seems that it has to be installed before downloading iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit)
Thanks for your helpNo it's not some separate pre install but it does sound like that, its just a poorly written way of saying to download the 64 bit version not 32 bit. Point to note my experience is that using google chrome to get the link will be problematic, use another browser such as Microsoft Explorer. Good luck.

I have Firefox 3.6.6, downgraded from higher versions since I have this problem below.
At some web pages (mostly professional academic sites like Oxford Journals), when I am clicking to get pdf of an article, Firefox start downloading ridiculously small size and cannot open it as it gives the message "Acrobat could not open 'filename.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ..."
I know the file is not damaged, because I can open them in explorer. And some websites are also working properly in Firefox. I do not care if it opens in firefox or pops up separately.

How can I view photos I downloaded 2-3 years ago and which suddenly seem to have disappeared. Only photos taken within the past 12 months are visible.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto. Version 8.1.2
- What version of the Operating System. OSX 10.9.4
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
When I open iPhoto, only the most recent photos are shown (last 12 months)
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages? This has been going on for several weeks now. There are no error messages, but yes, I had an update in the system (QuarkXPress 10.1), and the problem has occurred from that day.
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue. I tried to find out where the problem came from, but found no solution.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto? No
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

i bourgt 10.7 Lion, but i cnt´t install it. All the last updates are downloaded. I see the sign of the lion, but not clear- there stand the download stopped. How can i continue the download?
In that case, drag the Lion installer from your application folder to the trash. Empty trash. Now press option key and click on 'purchased' tab. The button next to the Lion installer now should say 'install' click on that to download again.

You say, you downloaded everything - did you download the Library upgrader? And did you install and run it? Was there any error message?
If your iPhoto library has been upgraded ny the upgrader, you should be able to upgrade it to your current iPhoto version by double clicking it to launch iPhoto on it. Have you tried that? What happens when you try?
One problem to check for - iPhoto may be unable to open your iPhoto library, if it is not on a dsk formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled). Check the formatting of the drive with your iPhoto library.

Adobe System Requirements point to 13 not supporting Windows XP, Windows Vista, or OSX 10.7. To test that a while back, I tried to install Premiere Elements 13 to my Windows XP SP3 32 bit computer. I found that I could download the 13 tryout from Adobe, but it would not install on the Windows XP computer.
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. So the replies are not automatic. But as user, we try to reply to questions as soon as possible. We are visitors here just like you. I do not work for Adobe and am not affiliated with it in any way.

Add On...Since you apparently have Premiere Elements 12, another option is to stay with version 12 on your Windows Vista computer. You would improve your situation with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer and Premiere Elements 10, 11, 12/12.1, and 13/13.1. -
I cannot get itunes to work/install on myPC. I am running windows 8 in a 64 bit machine. I also want to purchase books via itunes for my Nook. Are you deliberately excluding PC owners so we cannot use ituens on our computers???? I have selected a community but have no idea what community I should be working with. Can somone explai these communities to me? Also. you don't allow much time to go thru the sign up process. I had to start over SEVERAL times as you kept timing me out. Jesus...when people are signing up for the first time, we have no idea of the questions that will be asked. Give us a break and give us time to sign up. Not everone is disability free and able to go thru your process quickly...you are NOT user friendly. You should be for people who are wanting to join your community. I have downloaded a Audio Book from Itunes Store, but rencently i have had to reinstall windows, is there any way to re-download the audio book from Itunes, i know that the audio books are one time downloads, but is there any way to get the audio book back as i have already paid for it once and i would not like to pay for it twice.

Recently updated Numbers to Version 3.5.2 and now also seem to have Numbers Version 2.0 on my launchpad? Can anyone explain how this has happened - how do I get rid of it? Not able to move to Trash.
What is strange however is that my iMac is only a few months old and they all were upgraded to V3.x just a few months ago - with all Apps for iWork removed at that time.
Unless you did something specific to remove the old versions of the iWork apps (not advisable) then, as Wayne points out, they were not actually removed from your Mac, just moved into that subfolder within your main Applications folder.
I originally downloaded Numbers 2.x from the App Store (i.e. didn't install from a disk). I still have it on my Mac. But only Numbers 3.x appears in Launchpad.
I don't know whether this will help, but in Mac App Store you might try clicking 'Account' under 'Quick Links' on the right, signing in with your password, and clicking the 'Reset' button to the right of 'Reset all warnings for buying and downloading'. Sometimes the App Store gets a little confused. It's possible Launchpad may be taking its cue from the App Store in showing that old version of Numbers.
By Launchpad I assume you really mean Launchpad, not the Dock. I usually use the Dock. If that's what you're using too, then of course you can just drag the icon for the old Numbers off the Dock and it will vanish. (But the Numbers 2.3 application will still be there in that subfolder when you need it.)

The first thing you need to do is download and install the Creative Cloud Desktop Application. Then, open that program and click on the Apps tab. You download and install creative cloud applications from there.
If your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to run a given program, it won't show up under the Apps tab.
Once they are installed, you'll need to go to your Applications folder (Mac) or Program Files (x86) folder (PC) to start the program itself. -
