  • Installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly

Hello i've been really exited to donload photoshop and so i decided to try the free version i downloaded creative cloud and went into th eapps and click on photoshop try it free i waited a few 30 mins and it stopped and told me this
installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly.
and then i was like whatttt?!?!?!?!?
so I decided to come here and ask why this is happening please answer ASAP I really need photoshop for important stuff!!!

Try restarting your computer, then try again. Awhile back, some of the apps which I think included photoshop require the microsoft runtime to be updated. That runtime requires a restart to finish installing. But since it is a piggyback program, the error code telling you do so is hidden in the log file.
If it still does not install let us know.

  • HT201366 Security Update 2013-003 keeps failing to install - 'Unexpected Error occurred' - and now my MacBook Pro is running extremely slowly?

I have repeatedly tried to update the software 'Security Update 2013-003' on my MacBook Pro OS X Version 10.7.5 but it keeps failing to install, stating that 'an Unexpected Error Occurred'.
Since the update failed the first time, my MacBook Pro has been running extremely slowly and failing to open basic apps like Mail and Safari at times.
All other updates have been successful apart from this one. I have made sure that my MacBook isn't full (emptied Trash etc) but it still runs really slowly at times so I think it's linked with the Security Update failure.
    Please help!
*I have tried installing the update from Support Downloads but it says there isn't space on Macintosh to install it. There is 190 GB of free space on that disk so I don't understand that at all.
    LION system.

I have tried and it downloads successfully but when I install it, it comes up with this:

  • Update 9.1.3 failed to install

    Hi all,
First time on this site so i hope ive done this right.
Ive downloaded the latest update but when i try to install it i get a message almost stright away saying CPSID_49522 failed to install.
    What am i doing wrong?
    Regards

Here's the trick. first you must download 9,1,1 then update to 9.1.2 then update to 9.1.3. Then you still must go into explorer and find acrdr 9,0 (I think that's the name of the file) and manually remove it. If you go to secunia.com and download their free personal security advisor it explains it in greater detail, plus it's one of the best utilities on the web and did I mention, it's free? I promise this will work.

  • System Update 5.0.2 fails to install on Windows 8.1 Preview

I am trying to install System Update 5.0.2 on a W520 running a fresh install on Windows 8.1 Preview.  Solution Center is already installed.  No other software has been installed on this box, other than standard windows updates.
When I try to install SU5.0.2, I can get to the EULA screen, click on the "I accept ..." toggle, Next button enables, but does nothing when I click it.
Any suggestions on how to SU5.0.2 to complete?
    Thanks.

Here are the last lines in the tvsuSetup.log file after I try to press next, but before I cancel the install.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

So first of all you solution.
open Command Controll (CMD) (i would recommend in administator mode)
navigate to the folder where you saved your "systemupdate.exe"
    type systemupdate502-06-26-2013.exe /s /a /v"/qn"
(this will install System Update silent. For more inforamtion about that you should visit the microsoft support)
Now wait a bit (depends on how fast your maschine is)
Now open Metro, press this new little "down arow" and there you must find your installed systemupdate
So and now a few words more:
I had this same Problem on a Leaked Final Windows 8.1 version. This means when in October Win8.1 will offical realease, Systemupdate will not work. I think lenovo should go back to his roots and provide the best support they could instead of blocking all work to Windwos 8.1 Threads. I know many people that buy your Laptops only because of the good support.

New Samsung Smart TV and Home Theatre system.  Also purchased new AppleTV.
When I go to AppleTV I get a message that new Software is available to download.  When I agree it takes a while but when completed I get a message that the software has failed to install.  Try again, but that never works either.

  • Some devices fail to install during sysprep, despite drivers being present

I am having an issue with a new model of PC in our environment - Lenovo P300.
The drivers for this device have been added successfully to our unified .wim image using DISM. After applying the image to the P300, everything works well except that several devices do not install automatically, including the Ethernet device, so it can't
    join the domain either.
Strangely, if I simply initiate a manual 'scan for hardware changes' in Device Manager, all the devices install fine. So the driver files are present and working, but for some reason on his machine it is not installing them automatically. Another way I can
initiate the installation of them, is by going to Device Installation settings and allowing it to update from Windows Update (although it is just using the ones found locally).
I have tried many ways to get this to work, including running 'devcon rescan' at start up but to no avail. In any case, they really need to get installed during the sysprep process so that the ethernet controller installs and it can join the domain correctly.
This issue does not happen on any other machines we use this image on.
    Any help appreciated! Thanks

    Hi,
Since this issue only happen on the specific model of PC, so I think the image itself should be fine, but more related with the driver file itself. I recommend you contact the Lenove support and check the specific driver files.
To further know what happened during the installation process, I recommend you check the following setup log to find more information:
C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setupact.log Contains information about setup actions during the installation
C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setuperr.log Contains information about setup errors during the installation.
C:\WINDOWS\INF\setupapi.dev.log Contains information about Plug and Play devices and driver installation.

You can upload the files to OneDrive, then paste the download link here.

  • HT6114 Update 10.9.2. fails to install

When I try to install the 10.9.2 update, the SoftwareUpdateLauncher shows up and hangs, any ideas what to do? --
    https://twitter.com/drkrab/status/438975312106635264/photo/1
I've tried both installing it via the AppStore app, and downloading the "combo" .dmg and installing it from there.
The "Installer.app" runs successfully to the point where I am asked to reboot, after which the above linked screenshot of the "SoftwareUpdateLauncher.app" is shown, and nothing happens.

Same issue here.  I've tried deleting all files in the "Library/Updates" folder and restarting the update from the App Store but get the same issue.
My older Mac seems to be installing without issues.

The Adobe update keeps promptoing me to update my CS5 pproducts. But when I try, I get the message in the subject line. I have been trying this for weeks (months??).
I suspect this may be the wrong forum, but it seems to be the only one I can reach.

  • Reader update 10.1.3 fails to install error 1648*

When attempting to update Adobe Reader to version 10.1.3 i get the following error  "No valid sequence could be found for the set of patches"  When looking at the event log an entry is logged  with "Product Adobe Reader X MUI - Update '{AC76BA86-7AD7-FFFF-2550-7A8C400A1013}' could not be installed.  Error code 1648. Windows Installer can create logs...........etc.
When I turned on WIN Installer logging, the same message appears of the no valid sequence could be found.
I have tried an fresh install of 10.0.0 and straight to 10.1.3 with the same results.  I have tried the suggestion on Microsoft's site with the installer entries in the registry and such to no avail.
Same results on Win 7 and Vista both 32 and 64 bit versions.
I have googled and googled and have found no solutions or even any body else that has ran into the same problem.  Hopefully somebody can provide a little insight on this as I have over 2500 systems to push the update to.
    Thanks.

A little follow up -- I re-downloaded the update patch and now the size of the file is over 20MB versus 6MB.  I downloaded the patch several times yesterday so there must have been a fluke in the download.  I will attempt to see if will install properly now.
