Updates fail to save says "connection reset by peer"
Trying to download software updates. Dowload works fine but the says updates can;t be saved because connection reset by peer. What does this mean and how can I rectifiy it?

Assuming your network is working for other activities, and it's just the Mac App Store that's failing...
Try restarting the download within the Mac App Store.
Failing that, restart Mac App Store and try restarting the download again.
Then failing all that, I'd close Mac App Store, reboot the system, and open and try the Mac App Store download again.

We are calling external commands in a batch job using the SAP supplied function module SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE. However, if the external command takes longer than 2 minutes (120 seconds) to execute the call to the external command is terminated (from the SAP perspective) with the message Recv failed:Connection reset by peer. The termination is precisely at 120 seconds. The external command, however, continues to run as an u201Corphanu201D task and finishes normally. However, due to the connection termination, SAP is no longer aware of it.

Always suffer "connection reset by peer" while performing software update

I just bought a brand new macbook air. The first thing I do for this laptop is to perform the software update. It suffered me for a long time that I always encounter the error message
"Connection reset by peer The Installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder"
For some update that the file larger than 10Mbytes, the error is very easy to occur. I will be ever lucky that I could download the update package for larger update file.
I can make sure that my network to wireless route is well as I could download 500Mbytes file manually from internet without any problem. Actually, I had downloaded the mac X OS 10.5.4 package manually and upgrade the system from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 as it is almost impossible for me use "software update" to download about 500Mbytes without "connection reset by peer" problem.
Any input is appreciate.

I have contacted this website tech support and they say this issue is on my end. On certain pages on their web site I try go to it will say connection reset. Connection reset while page was loading. I was trying to do anything and everything I can to make sure firefox is allowing access to all pages on this website. I use this website for work I do.

Failing to upload a file on storage account with "[Errno 104] Connection reset by peer" message.

I am trying to upload a file (5GB) to storage account using put page blob api of azure python sdk.
example- blob_service.put_page_blob_from_path('container', 'windows.vhd', '/mnt/23/Windows.vhd').
But after sometime connection gets reset, i am getting same error in other regions as well. Following is the connection reset log-

Directly uploading a 5GB file may last long time due to client network, then in that time period, if certain network latency or exception happens, then the upload action will be impacted.
To overcome this type of issue, you can consider to apply existing tool to upload vhd: azcopy

you can either start the tool by your python code to upload the target vhd file or manually run azcopy command to upload(if this uploading happens very rarely to you).
in azcopy, as the tutorial, there is option for you to specify the target blob to be page blob:
/BlobType:<block | page>
Specifies whether the destination blob is a block blob or a page blob. This option is applicable only when uploading blob; otherwise, an error is generated. If the destination is a blob and this option is not specified, then by default AzCopy will create
a block blob.

BPC 10.0 - UJBR - Restore fails with msg - Connection reset by peer - Why?
Dear All,
I am trying to RESTORE an environment into BPC server and got the attached error message. It is strange as I have done this many times in the past... successfully. Not sure why it is behaving like this suddenly.
The error message is : Connection reset by peer.
With the same BPC server, I am able to BACKUP an environment, successfully(!!!).
Have any of you come across this before?
Pls. help to resolve this.

I am using a new laptop now. Earlier, I was using another laptop using which, I have done backup and restore many times, successfully.
Even in the new laptop, backup is successful.
I have disabled Firewall at the machine. Still, there is no break through.
This has happened once before using old laptop and after a while, it was ok.
Is this because, some back ground job is running now?

Mac Clients are running 10.9.2 Mavericks.
Client is Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.05.
Clients are mixed in how they connect to the Windows 2008 R2 server, some
are on Wifi some are on Wired Ethernet.
If you connect to the Server through the RD Client, and get on you work
and if you then say go idle ( still connected but not doing anything such as
printing from the Server or in an Application on the Server) then after 20 mins it
(the client) throws up a "Connection reset by Peer" error.
You click OK, and then it breaks connection. You can however reconnect without issue.
We have currently about six users who are using the RD Connection to access QuickBooks on
this 2008 R2 server. Four are on Macs and get the errors. Two are on PCs and do not get the errors.

connection was reset. This reset could be generated locally by the network system when it detects a connection failure, or it might be received from the remote host (in TCP terms, the remote host sent an RST packet). This error is also possible on a datagram
socket; for instance, this error could result if your application sends a UDP datagram to a host, which rejects it by responding with an ICMP Port Unreachable.
Please check the following:
1. Ping the remote host you were connected to. If it does respond, this problem might have been a transient one (so you can reconnect now), or the server application you were
connected to might have terminated (so you might not be able to connect again).
2. Type tracert at the command prompt to determine the path to the host you were connected to. This won't reveal too much unless you know the router addresses at the remote end,
but it might help to identify if the problem is somewhere along the way.
3. Check if there is any related error log in the server side.

The abap stack works fine, I'm able to logon and work with the system BUT the java stack doesn't work. I've looking for this error in SAP Notes page, SDN portal,... also I've revised:
-file host, located C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc contains a line 192.168.100.42 solution.grupotec.local SAPTRANSHOST and the last line of this file is in blank
this machine was in domain 'solution.gruposap.local' and now is in the domain solution.grupotec.local
In order to solve it, I've chequed:
-SQL Server 2003 is up and running
-I've taken out and in the machine from the domain
-I've turned off the machine in order it refresh the new domain(solution.grupotec.local )
-Filesystem has enough free space
-I've updated SAP Kernel

Hi all,
I have a Servlet (ModificaCorpoOrdineService.java) with two method:
1) maskEditOrderCorp(req,resp)
2) EditOrderCorp(req,resp)
1) The first method is called when I have to present
the page addModCorpoOrdine.jsp and contain
the redirect to that jsp page:

Why Customer get too many "Connection reset by peer"
Hi,
I have CSS 11503 V7.50 without SSL Module.
I have 4 real servers and LB method is Round Robin. Customer tests the methods by using two way.
First A requestor try to connect service via VIP address.Second requestor try to connect to real servers by using directly real server IP address (Bypass Load balacer)
Customer cheks the real server logs and sees that in first experiment (via VIP) there too many "connection reset by peer" messages. For second experiment there are few same messages.
I wonder why real servers get this messages. Plus, why CSS reset flows. I know flow timeout does that. But if there are too many idle flows, it says something wrong?There is a command, but I was more thinking about the server side counter or log info.
If you really want to see if the CSS sent a RESET or not, you can use the following engineering command
