Updates for elements 8.0

I have adob e photoshop elements 8.0. Do I need to download all of the verson 8.0 updates that are listed on the adobe site? I noticed that there are several for camera Raw. Some of them are dated 2009 but there are several more current ones dated 2010. Do I need to install all of them or just the most current? I have not done this before and want to keep my elements software current. Thanks for your help.

There is one 8.0.1 update available which you should install for E8. Rest of them are for Camera Raw, that is upn user choice, you can check if the one integrated in PSE is not compatible with your camera version then you should install the latest camera raw version. That also depends upon whether you use the raw functionality or not..

    Thanks for the follow up.
Is your Premiere Elements 13 on Mac computer?
I have not seen much in the way of alternatives coming from Adobe on the Premiere Elements 13.1 failed updates.
But there seems to be several discussions on U44M11210 in the CC products...one
Update failure. (U44M1I210) | Adobe Community
You could try the uninstall, free ccleaner, reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s)  and then try for the Help Menu/Update for 13.1..
    If Mac, https://www.piriform.com/mac/ccleaner
If Windows, CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
The CC people seem to have the advantage of an online download of their update as well as the one via the Help Menu/Update.
Premiere Elements does not have that perk - update only via Help Menu/Update.
Please review and consider and please let us know of your progress as your schedule permits.

  • Will there be a Camera Raw update For Elements 10 for the new Canon 5D Mark 3?

I have the new Canon 5D.  Love the results but, I can not process the photos in Lightroom 4 or Elements 10.  I downloaded the update for CS5 to see if there was a work around but I don't know my way around the software.  It looks like someone dropped the ball big time on this one.
    Joe

Ok, so what is so different in the Camera Raw for CS5/CS6 Beta vs Elements?  You would think that they would be both the same!  There are a lot of professionals like myself bought their Canon 5D Mk 3 thinking that the software would be there to support the camera release.  Sure, I am also wondering why Canon hasn't done an update with the release.   This feels like buying a car and some day in the future - we don't know when there will be road that you can drive it on.
Tried to convert the Mk 3 DNG files. Didn't work.  Get a purple or pink cover over the images.  It works great with my 7D files.
If I had a Camera to fall back on I wouldn't be so desperate but my Canon 7D (Which I have enjoyed for the last two years) was destroyed in a accident the day before the Canon 5D mark 3 was anounced.  So, I am starting from scratch and I need access to my Raw files to get my work done.  Working with Canon Software is not what I would use in a productive work flow.  If this was a hobby - OK but for production work, I need the right tools and right now, LR 4 which is the back bone of my work is useless.

  • Where is there an update for Elements 11 that supports RAW files from a Fujifilm XT-1?

I believe there is an update for Camera RAW but cannot find the download.
    Thanks

There isn't one that will work with PSE 11. The XT-1 requires at least 8.4, which is not compatible with PSE 11, so you would need to upgrade PSE. Your other option is to use the free adobe DNG converter to make DNG files that your version of ACR will read.

  • Trying to install camera raw updates for elements 12 having trouble

as i am trying to install the camera raw up date it stops and asks me to shut down elements editor, when i do it continues to come back to the same screen and never lets me move forward. Any suggestions on how to fix or am i doing something wrong on the update.

Yes, when I tried to edit raw image from file it popped up that the camera was not supported. ( I had a Rebel  XSI and upgraded to Canon 70D). Below is the error report that popped up.
Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.
Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information.
So when I went into help and clicked upgrades that is when I ran into the problems.

  • Latest raw editor not showing available in my update for elements 11

I cannot open a photo shot in raw in my elements 11. I have gone to update section and latest available for raw is 6.7. I know the latest is 7.4 which I need for my new Canon 7D camera. What's up with this? How do I install the latest raw editor when it isn't even a choice in the updates menu. This along with the fact that at present I cannot open a photo shot in raw at all in Elements 11.

Canon DPP has a whole range of raw tools.
I’m just wondering whether your download package may be faulty. It may be better to install from a different source.
After you un-install, use the link below, but note carefully the instructions for logging-in to the server otherwise access will be denied.
Complete the download before the un-insallation.

  • ACR updates for Elements

    Why aren't there any?

I have a Panasonic GX7 too.  Nice camera.
What should normally happen is that Elements 12 will install with ACR 8.0 or 8.1.  Once you get the the installation registration done, go to the Help menu and look for "Updates..".   Click it and, if you are on line, it should go get the latest ACR, which I think is 8.3 where the GX7 is included.
    Good luck!

  • Camera Raw 6.6 update for Elements 10 fails with Error Code U44M2P7

I've downloaded the updater twice now and tried to install.
I keep getting this same error code.
Anyone know what the problem is?

    Jeff,
I'm sailing against a headwind here. I followed the link that you gave me (Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements) and immediately ran into trouble.
The Adobe Support Advisor the page recommended is no longer available or supported
The folder on my HD that it pointed to, //Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/, does not exist on my computer. There are a couple of other folders in the //Library/Logs/Adobe/ directory, but they are both empty.
I searched through the PDApp.log and did not find the two errors that the web page recommended.
    So right now I'm stymied.
But I did figure a hack to make this work.
I open the .RAF files with a hex editor and replace every instance of "X30" with "X20"
The file will now open in Photoshop CC
Run it through the Adobe DNG Converter.
Then I can open the .DNG file in Elements 10.
Hopefully Adobe will jump on this soon. The only differences in the .RAF file that the Fuji X30 produces is the string "X30" in about five places in a 20MB file. Other than that it is identical to the .RAF produced by the X20.

When the warning comes up telling you to close the PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe (Photoshop Elements 12 Editor) go to task manager and in Apps you will see Photoshop Elements 12 Editor . Close it down and the download Application completes its sequence. Sorry if I'm not very good at explaing but it seems to have worked.
