Hello Team, Currently my phone is having Andorid 4.2.1 I would like to know whether Is there any chance to get the update for Lenovo S820 to 4.2.2 and Android Kitkat. ThanksBhushan

I have the same query of Lenovo S820 phone. After purchase there's only the system update but not OS update. Many are asking in this forum about upgrading their phones to Android 4.3 or kitkat but there no assurance positive feedbacks. Sorry for replying to an old post but I found one of theese laptops a couple of days ago where I work. (I work at a recycle station/place/something)
I decided that I wanted to try and fix it since it suffers from the issue discussed here.
I have about 15 yrs experiance with fixing computers and about 3 years with laptops and my repair succes rate is rather high.
But this laptop is a piece of very bad and **bleep**ty workmanship - The whole upper part of the mainboard is toast - the part that is just under the connection to the batteri is badly burned.
I will upload some pictures shortly, and give a detailed workaround if I get it fixed

I have checked in my windows 7 Installed Updates - I do not have these updates installed.
My WIndows is reporting that it UP TO DATE.
So, what do mean these updates? Should they be installed?

These are hotfixes for the operating system released by Microsoft. Not every hotfix released by Microsoft is distributed through Microsoft Update. Sometimes, it is an issue which only affects a small fraction of computers out there, an issue may only occur in rare circumstances, and so forth. Here are the actual articles from Microsoft's support site:

From reading their descriptions, plus the fact that you saw them listed on Lenovo's web site, makes me think that your model's installation of Microsoft Windows may be susceptible to the described problems.
You can try downloading the files and installing them. If a problem occurs, you can uninstall the hotfix, or use System Restore to revert the computer to an earlier state before the hotfixes were installed.

Lenovo S820 Firmware update error

Today i tried to update my Lenovo s820 firmware : S820_ROW_8G_S221_140730_TO_S820_ROW_8G_S222_141121 (222MB)
After complete download i faced error while updating.
Can anyone faced same issue and whether it got rectified?

I suggest to use Lenovo Smart Assistant (desktop client) to help updating your phone version if you couldn't do it from the phone.

Hi ,Am using lenovo A6000+ mobile,i want to know exactly when there will be lollipop update for lenovo a6000+ ??
As you mentioned in OS upgrade matrix (On July) ,you supposed to give to lollipop by last month itsetlf but you didnt.
See after there update xxxx615 firmware ,my mobile battery draing fast and camera pic has loads of grains.I think that update you provided is not stable one,So Provide us some stable update to fix those above issues.

Yes, the actual firmware from last year September
Is already installed. Also I am checking almost in every day the firmware update page since almost half a year.
I did contact the hotline support also several times for.
I was informed about that they will publish an update, but not when.
Also there was a statement from the Toshiba CEO already in last year that all UHD TVs with the Cevo engine
will get this update in last year.
Its a pity and seems a neverending story. I am totally disappointed.

It can handle kitkat. Those problems were coding issues I believe.. and they tried to resolve it but not successful. Can they stop their work on kitkat and start working on lollipop rather.

Nothing fixed. Before I update I'm playing dead trigger 2 smoothly, but now
after update little bit lag, more heat, n I feel my battery drained faster

PCI simple communications controller on my 3000 K series needs a driver update for the upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. I have a 64 bit system. I had no errors during my install,and Windows 7 has been working well. What can I do???

The driver updated for Windows 8.1 will be available only when the full version of the OS (Operating System) is released from the Microsoft and it will be automatically available through “Windows Update”.

After installing all lenovo updates for n500 I cant access the boot rescure and recovery anymore!!!

i´ve just installed all actual updates for the n500, including a bios update. since then I cant get into the boot up utilities(I think its called thinkvantage) anymore with the lenovo button when booting up (instead, I get a menu where I can choose where to boot from!!!!)... when pressing f8 on bootup there used to be something like "repair system" in the menu, its gone too...
also, rescure and recovery in vista basic does not load anymore, the gui process is running but nothing happens... please help!!!
what can I do??? I didn't touch any partitions or delete anything... before the updates, it did work. installing the newest bios from the website did not solve the problem too...

I am beginning to love lenovo. and vista. I´ve used the boot disk found at http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-54483
(vista version), made a disc with it, "fixed" my mbr... and now vista stops booting all together. something about a missing bootmanager. I love it. really. both. lenovo, and vista.
edit: lucky me, I had a dart cd to repair the boot manager. so I can at least boot again. but, still no solution to my problem... any ideas?
edit 2: I tried again. this time, no error. but still, I have the same problem with a not working thinkvantage. any ideas?
edit 3: seems like the only solution left after reviewing all hints and tips is installing rescue and recovery, but has anyone installed it on a N500 yet? does it work? does it damage the pc? which version should I install, if it works?

Official 2009 Lenovo T61/T61p Nvidia Video Drivers: Please Consider One Last Update for the Road

The title of this new thread says it all ..... 3 years since the last offical Lenovo T61/T61p Nvidia Video Driver Package release ..... a virtual lifetime in computer science years.
I'm looking for advice on how to best lobby the technical folks at Lenovo (by phone or here on the Forums) for one last official Lenovo "Nvidia" video driver update for our T61 and T61p units.
Lenovo's most current "ancient" 2009 Nvidia driver packages (found here),

all leave quite a bit of 3D (and some 2D) performance laying out there on the table based on my own testing with current modern Nvidia reference drivers on a cloned test mule hard drive (and never once crashed with the newer Nvidia reference drivers under WinXP 32-bit or Win7 32 bit).
Most all the major 3D gaming benchmarks were nearly doubled, and most importantly, my real world qualitative performance experience seemed even greater than the nearly doubled quantitative benchmark results.
I'm wondering if starting this new thread would be of any benefit to encourage the good folks at Lenovo to consider one last update after 3+ years?
Before I go to the trouble of posting my results, it is my hope that Lenovo could simply try the latest Nvidia reference drivers for themselves, tweak them (if even necessary) and then issue one last offical T61/T61p Nivida driver package update for the road .... hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of T61/T61p w/Nvidia GPU units are still in reliable daily service.

One W520 i7-2860QM w/2000M Nvidia Graphics (most recent acquisition and stupidly fast); .... One - T42 4:3 15" Flexview 1.8GHz with ATI Graphics (still perfect for traveling); ... Two - T500 15.4" units both with ATI HD3650 Graphics.

It is considered fortunate that Lenovo provides newer driver for newer OS even after the system was phased out. From what I know, most of the OEM / manufacturers do not provide drivers for newer version of Windows when the product is phased out.
Furthermore, graphic card vendors (e.g. NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, etc.) oftenly release new drivers and it is hard for manufacturers to catch up with them. Usually, the purpose of OEM providing new driver is to resolve existing issues. If you need performance, get newer drivers directly from vendors website.

Lenovo t410 BIOS update for win 8.1

I want to upgrade my BIOS, but there is no update available for bios in windows 8.1.. My Bios version is 1.18, I want to update because i read somewhere that if your fan make noise make sure you have updated BIOS :A.. I want to know if I can install "BIOS update for win 8" in my lenovo t410 with windows 8.1..

Hello.
The Windows BIOS upgrade isn't OS specific, it runs on all OS's between XP-Win8.1, even if it doesn't list 8.1 specifically.
You can either update it manually, using the update here:
BIOS Update Utility for ThinkPad T410, T410i
Or make a bootable CD/USB with the ISO file here:
BIOS Update Bootable CD for ThinkPad T410, T410i
Either way works like a charm on a Windows 8.1 machine, but be aware of the risks involved in updating your BIOS.
