Updates in Photoshop CS6

I cannot get updates to install in Photoshop or Camera RAW. If I run Raw update 7.4 it says succesfully installed but when I open a RAW file it says version 7.2. I have disabled virus checking and get the same result and I have reinstalled Adobe Program Manager with no change. I have also checked for the file that disables Adobe Updater and it is not present. I have had warnings that the Program Manager has a problem but the link on the notification said unavailable so I used the version available from a search of the Adobe website. Any ideas?

This is the source I used before and have now tried again with no change. The installation says completed successfully but when opened Camera RAW says still 7.2. In Program Files/ Common Files/Adobe it lists both Camera RAW 6 and Camera RAW 7 and Camera RAW 7 still shows a created date of 31/10/2012. This laptop still has CS5 loaded as CS6 was an upgrade. I have run CS5 and that shows the old version of Camera RAW with no version number. I was just checking to see if there was any indication the update was addressing the wrong version.

Tasc_redleader which update exactly are you trying to apply? Your screen shot indicates an update to Photoshop CS6 but your installation log appears to be for Extension Manager CS6.

Unable to update, uninstall photoshop cs6

I am trying to open a video to edit in CS6 and I get this error: Could not complete your request because DynamicLink is not available
I read on one of these formus that I should uninstall and reinstall the program or update my photoshop cs6
I tried to update and it told me to use the Adobe Application Manager, which in turn gave an error and told me to use the Adobe
Support Advisor, which didnt work
I tried to uninstall the program and it told me to use the Adobe Application Manager.
Adobe Application Manager failed and it told me to download the Adobe Support Advisor.
Adobe Support Advisor told me that there was an issue:" cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred. "Token Number: 40-87772-063201122012
I followed the instructions it gave me to correct this issue:

Failed installation: How to rerun Adobe Application Manager updates for Photoshop CS6

Hi.
The installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did intall. I was installing Adobe Reader X .
That's why I discovered the notication from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifiying me again to install it. At least not immediately ...
So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update moduel to check for updates manually?

Thank you. I read the steps and looked at the log and this is the key error:
ERROR: DF045: File corruption detected. Re-install the product & then apply the patch again.
To re-install the product do I first uninstall using the Windows facility?
Do I need to re-install from the original product disk? If not then where will I find a link to download the product and re-install? (I can only find links to CC).

CS6 cannot be upgraded. If you join the Creative Cloud and download PhotoshopCC2014 you get it with the 3D features.

Photoshop Bridge CS6 is not operating properly after most recent update to Photoshop CS6.

I updated Photoshop CS6 (through Adobe Creative Cloud) a few days ago. Since the update, Bridge does not show changes in the images when viewing the thumbnails. Opening in Camera Raw does show the changes. But this outcome negates the purpose of Bridge. I want to see the changes made (to the Camera Raw files) in the "filmstrip" thumbnails without having to open each file individually.
Other problems exist. The icons for rotating the images are grayed-out. Even worse, the vertically oriented images are shown as being horizontally-oriented.
Can anyone offer help on this problem?

I am on the Adobe Download Assistant. It was stuck at "less than a minute" for an hour and a half, showing that the installation was basically done, since the installation bar was full. But it was stuck. Now it has stopped all together, and is restarting the download from scratch.
Apparently it does not save the download, or only saves a small portion.

It is at 85.6 MB, even though a short time ago it was close to 99.9% done with the 6,352 MB download.
My internet connection is fine, all is working, and I am able to browse, etc.
I have been careful to keep activity minimal on the computer, so as to avoid conflicts.
The conflicts are with the Adobe Download Assistant.
I amabout ready to just give up, and look for alternatives.
Please help.
