Two things you can try.

- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder...  (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
- It will take you to a folder.  Delete com.apple.appstore
- Launch the App Store.

  • My apple id password will not work in app store after I reset it. Has anyone had this problem

    My apple id password will not work in app store after I reset it. It says the new password, verified by apple, is the wrong one when I purchase things in the store. Has anyone had this problem?

    OK.  Did you have a question?  Do you use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom right hand corner of this page?

  • Why does that app update not clear in App Store on iTunes Sync?

    I have noticed this as a problem ever since I upgraded to iOS8. I always update my apps on my iOS devices by a sync with iTunes. The reason I do this is because I do not like the annoying blue dot beside the app after I update it until I actually open the app. I have been doing this successfully for years. Now that I am on iOS8 I still sync to update but the update badge will not reset even though the app store knows the app is updated. The badge only goes away (resets itself) when there is a new update available in the app store. To overcome this I have turn off notification in the app store so I do not have to see the badge on my screen but I don't understand why iOS 8 is creating this problem. This did not occur in iOS 7 or 6. I thought it was initially because I installed a Beta app for Accompli but that was not correct because I did a complete restore and rebuilt my iOS device from scratch, did not install a backup. Is anybody else having this problem?
    Here is how to duplicate:
    Wait for you to have apps to update on your iOS device but don't update them through the device.  You will need to make sure the auto update for Apps is turned off.
    Download the updates for the Apps in iTunes.
    Make sure you have the box check in iTunes to for "Automatically install new apps".
    Sync
    iTunes will sync and update the apps on your device and there will be no blue dots on the update. However, the app store on your device will see that there is no update available any more, the button beside the app in the update section will say open instead of update, but the badge will not reset.  Used to be the badge would reset and they updates would no longer appear in the app store at all.

    I assume no one has encountered this before?

  • OS X updates not appearing in App Store?

    Ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion last year, OS updates are not appearing in the App Store. Updates for all Apple and non-Apple applications purchased through the App Store appear with no issue, but point updates to OS X 10.8, Java updates, Safari updates, Digital Camera RAW updates, printer driver updates, etc. never appear in the App Store; I have to download all of those directly from Apple's support site. This is usually just an annoyance, but with the release of Safari 6.0.4, there doesn't seem to be any way to get the update except via the App Store, and it's not appearing there for me.
    This issue has persisted across an update to a new machine last December, when I got a new 21.5" iMac to replace my 2009 27" machine, so there is clearly something in my user folder that is causing the issue, but I have no idea what it might be. Anybody have any ideas?

    Paul - both excellent suggestions, but alas, no joy. I forced a Spotlight reindexing of the startup drive (by excluding it, then removing the exclusion), but it still doesn't see any updates in the App Store. All the usual boxes are checked in the Pref pane, though even if they weren't, I would think that a manual check would still show updates available if appropriate.
    In further pondering the issue, it occured to me that my wife's iMac has the same issue. While she is signed into the App Store with my account (she doesn't buy any apps on her own for her Mac), I'm wondering if it could somehow be an issue with my network that the App Store doesn't like? I am double-NAT'ed, as I want to be able to use my various Airports together (for AirPlay, etc), but also can't totally disable my U-verse router, either - I wonder if there's something weird going on becaue of that.

  • I can't update my mac through App Store

    I have a 27"Mac OSX 10.8.2 and a few downloads are available but if I click the App Store I get the message: "We could not complete your App Store request. App store is temp. unavailable. Try again later" but there is no later. I've tried it now for weeks and still nothing is happening.
    I also wanted to buy the Mountain Lion but can't do that either.
    What to do?
    Regards

    Ok, i have downloaded the combo 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion), installed it but I still can't get into the App Store to update the latest versions of what ever there is available. It said, Download iTunes..... I tried and than I got the window like I wrote in my first question, telling all my details under the Apple logo,.... Also, nobody can give me an answer why I still have the Lion head instead of the Mountain Lion, if I already have Mountain Lion (Like IMP68 suggested). I don't know what else there is to answer. I wrote everything down. There is nothing more I can explain.
    I understand that the help is limited but some asked me question I already wrote down like What version I'm running.
    Anyway, I can understand that it can be frustrating to try to help somebody and it doesn't work. My bad. Thanks anyway.

  • Software updates not downloading from App store

    Hi,
    I have 9 updates available in the app store. When I select update all or even update one of them, all I get is the whirling ball. I turned off my antiviral software but it still isn't working. Any ideas?

    I found the problem. I think the AVG antiviral was blocking the download. They updated it a couple of days ago. I turned it off. But it didn't solve the problem. I restarted my computer. When I opened AVG I noticed it was updating again. Im guessing that they found out that they were blocking updates. Now the updates are downloading and installing.  I still have AVG turned of while I'm updating all my software for Yosemite..

  • "Update All" not working in App Store - ios 7

    I seem to be having an issue with the App Store on my iPhone 5 lately, where the App Store says i have multiple updates available for my apps, when the "Update All" option at the top is greyed out and it cannot be selected. When i try to select Update now for each individual app, all it does is launch the app in question, but does not update it. I tried turning the phone on and off to no avail. The next thing i'm going to try is connecting to to my computer and let it update that way, but why wouldn't it work on the phone itself?

  • Update to 10.8.1 not offered through App Store

    A comment:
    Strangely the update to 10.8.1 was not offered on my iMac at work when I checked the Update section on the App Sore today after coming back from vacation. Updates to other applications where offered though (Xcode, Pixelmator...). I had to install the update manually by downloading it from Apple Support.
    On my MacBook Pro no such problem.

    OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1 appear in Mac App Store, allowing me to download it. And the delta update sla show up as well

  • Apple id not working in app store, works fine here and in itunes

    on my imac running 10.6.8 I can get into itunes, but not into app store. When I go to PURCHASES, or UPDATES i get prompted to log in (I have masked my ID in the screen grab) My ID works fine here, this is the ID I registered my iMac with.
    Oddly, when I select apps I'm currently running, they show as installed.
    I have no interest in upgrading my OS to newer version(s)
    Am I hosed?

  • 10.8.2 Update not in the app store

    Ive just brought a new mac book pro and there isnt an option to update to 10.8.2 mountain lion in the App store.....any idea why not? Its a current release?
    Im looking in the updates folder where i have currently an update for iPhoto and itunes but not for 10.8.2?
    Any ideas would help.
    Tom

    Nice! So thats what the site says...but you can clearly see the image above that happens on 2 seperate macbook retinas now...
    iPhoto 9.4.2 clearly states on the app store it requires 10.7.5 or greater, but with 10.8.1 it won't download (as seen above)....the app store refuses to let you download it unless you are on 10.8.2...
    On another note, I was able to solve my iPhoto issue.
    I was able to command + Option on iPhoto launch and rebuild my iPhoto library.
    It was then able to correct the too up to date Library and then open it in iPhoto 9.3...sweet - one happy Apple Consultant here now!
    So If for some reason you get a new laptop, and do all of the updates and your iPhoto still says it can't open because your iPhoto isn't on 9.4.2 (see pic above)...all you have to do is rebuild your iPhoto library and it will correct it.
    Would love to be on the newest iPhoto but evidently that won't happen until 10.8.2 is released for these new laptops....

  • IPad App Store is not working, iPad App Store is not working

    My App Store stopped working today!! HELP!!

    Saw this on another post.
    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
    In the meantime ...........

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Adobe ANE stageAd is not working in App Store

    I am using com.adobe.ane.stageAd package with starling game I made (GravityEscape - it is an iPad game approved and released in store). Here is my problem, I am trying to show banner ads but they will not work.
    a) In development test ads DID show. I thought everything was fine.
    b) I am approved to use iAd. Contracts enabled, iAd is "live" in the dashboard.
    c) iAd dashboard shows no requests? Why?
    If anybody else has the no requests issue please let me know. I can find no documentation other than the autogenerated stuff here- http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/gamingsdk/anedocs/
    Here is my code I am using on app init:
    if( StageBannerAd.isSupported ){
    ad = new StageBannerAd();
    ad.showOnlyIfLoaded = false;
    ad.stage = this.stage;
    ad.addEventListener(StageAdEvent.AD_LOAD_COMPLETE, adLoadStart);
    ad.addEventListener(StageAdEvent.AD_LOAD_FAIL, adLoadEnd);
    trace("iad init");
    } else {
    trace("iad is not supported");

    Hi a-r-d.
    I Have the exact same Issue as you.
    Got a Starling game thats using StageAd. Worked fine in the Sandbox ( showing Apples Dummy ads )
    In released version it seem that the Ane doesnt sends any requests for ads.
    I did a little googling, and it seems it also happens for lots of other people who's not using AIR and staling.
    They said that after some time ads just suddenly started to apear.
    Did you find a solution for your problem?
    My implementation:
    if(StageBannerAd.isSupported)
        _stageBannerAd1 = new StageBannerAd();
        _stageBannerAd1.align = StageAdAlign.BOTTOM;
        _stageBannerAd1.offset = 0;
        _stageBannerAd1.showOnlyIfLoaded = true;
        addAllEventListeners1( _stageBannerAd1 );
        _stageBannerAd1.stage = Starling.current.nativeOverlay.stage; // Flash's Stage -> Not Starling Stage

  • After install updates not listed in app store

    After installing mac software updates, they don't show up under the App Store Update listing. Camera and Printer updates are listed. But not operating system updates or security updates.  I assume they got installed as no issues with install process.

    Another thing, I've tried to redownload 10.9 and it doesnt download.
    Antoher detail, the App Store app says I have 9 updates pending but just shows the installed in past 30 days.

  • Updates not appearing in App Store

    I'm not seeing all the Software Updates in the App Store that I expect to be there, e.g Safari 6.1 (I'm on 6.0.5)
    iTunes 11 shows up (I'm hanging on to v10!!) along with a couple of purchased apps, but Safari, ProApplicationsUpdate & Remote Access disappeared after I installed the 10.8.5 supplimentary update.
    I followed suggestions in this post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5467486
    I've also trashed ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
    No difference.
    Can anyone help? Thanks.
