Updates template don't come through on the site

What I have been trying to do is update a template and apply it to all files that are based on this template. The problem I have been encountering is not inside dreamweaver itself: the template is updated automatically in every file I want it to. The problem is that these changes don't come through on the site for some of the files.
Any tips on what I might be doing wrong? I have investigated this forum and checked the frequent mistakes that are made with using templates, but I can't seem to figure out what is wrong, because the files in dreamweaver display correctly...

because the Root Folder of the Remote's definition (in the files menu on the right, remote view) is only a / and doesn't correspond with the name of the local root folder in the files menu on the right.
It should not correspond with the local root folder name.
Is it the slash that is causing the problem?
Most likely it is the lack of the name of the actual root folder for the web hosting account that is causing the problem. With only a slash there, you are uploading the files to the root of the FTP LOGIN which is usually the parent folder to the root of the website. Thus, your files are there, but they are ABOVE the website's root and cannot be seen when you browse to the web domain.
Ask your host what is the name of the root folder for the website - it should be something like "htdocs" or "httpdocs" or "public_html" or "wwwroot" or "www" or something like that, depending on whether your host is a *nix or Windows server. That information was given to you when you first secured the web hosting account. Put that name into the Root Directory field of the remote site definition. Then it should work.

Try Mixing Down the audio before export.

My screen background color is off-white & this color comes through on the print page. Page Setup/Print Background is set off. How do I fix this? Problem first popped up with version 6, still there with version 8.0.1

File/Page Setup/Format & Options/Options/Print Background (colors & images): Check box set off.
This setting does not work as my screen background color still comes through on the print preview & the print page.
Is this because the newer Firefox versions have blocked my graphics driver version?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

After the last update - calls do not come through

my fiancee and I both have a Samsung Fascinate. In recent weeks we are having problems receiving calls from each other. I do not receive his calls and he doesn't receive mine, yet the person who is calling can hear the phone ring at the end of the line and it will go to VM after a certain number of rings just like it would normally. Yet the calls never ring through to the receiving party. WHY? Text messaging seems to be working normal between us, but the phone situation is ridiculous. We noticed that this all started after this last update that was automatically installed on our phones.. We compare phone logs all the time and we can clearly see where the other person has called, but neither of us ever receives those phone calls. Other calls seems to come through just fine and I can call his ATT Blackberry and it will ring right in. It seems to be a Samsung Fascinate Issue?????? Can anyone help with this?? It's really making us mad not being able to get a hold of the other one when needed.

IMessages don't come through on Wifi

I have one friend on the same carrier as me (cspire), with same phone as me (iPhone 5) and when he sends out a picture or group message it wont come through unless I have mobile data turned on. Wifi is on and connected all the time. I have sent and received iMessages to and from others on wifi. At times I'll turn on mobile data when I'm away from wifi and a flood of messages from this one friend will come through.
Any ideas? Something set wrong on his phone?

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages. Make sure iMessage is turned on and you can see options for Read Receipts, Send as SMS and Receive at. If you don't see these options, turn off iMessages and then back on, the options should appear (apparently there's a bug that prevents the extra iMessage options from appearing when you first open the settings).
Tap on the option for Receive at and enter the email associated with your Mac iMessaging. Once entered, you should receive imessages on both your phone and your Mac. You may need to send/receive a couple of messages to get it to work.

I wondered if anyone else is having this problem. For the past few days, my Iphone 4 has not been receiving messages until I make a phone call or a phone call comes through.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you ressolve it.
It's never done it before and it's making me seem ignorant.

IF you have restored your iPhone and still have these problems, you have a defective iPhone and there is nothing anyone here can help you with -- you have to contact Apple for service.

One of my apps won't update. A message comes up saying "The item you tried to buy is no longer available", but when I open the app, it works.

I looked at my iphone 4 and I had two apps that needed to be updated. I pressed "Update All", but only one of them updated. The other, which is the HauteLook app, didn't, and has the little red 1 on my app store application. When I open the app store, it says it needs to be updated. When I press update or update all, the little bar shows up, then a message comes up saying "The item you tried to buy is no longer avaliable". I pressed ok, and it still says it has to be updated. I have opened the app and used it, so it's not broken. I have turned off my phone and turned it back on, and the notification that I need to update it is still there. I have tried restarting my phone, and it's still there. I have also tried plugging my phone into my computer to see if the update shows up iTunes, but it doesn't. I have had my phone for almost 2 years and this has never happened to me before. I did just recently get the IOS 6 update, but since having it, I have had to update apps and never got this message until now. If anyone has any idea how to fix this I would really appericate the help!

I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

Curly quotes that don't come through from Word

Every now and then I get a Word file with a few quotes that come through
to CS3 as accented characters instead of quotes. Anyone know why this
happens?

Yes, I have both Times and Times New Roman installed here, so there's no
substitution in Word or Indesign. And I did try it in CS4, where the
problem seems to be gone.
I guess it's kind of late in the game to be finding bugs in CS3; I just
wish I could explain why it's happening. Then maybe I would know what to
look for so I could find these before they make their way into the book.
I can search for those four characters, but, for instance, there were 64
other, legitimate, i accents acute in this book. And this is not limited
to quotes. I occasionally run into the same kind of unexplained
substitution with dashes and a few other characters.
Or I could just start using CS4.

Templates don't show up in the Assets Templates panel !?

I made some templates but a few don't show up in the Assets > Templates panel.
I opened all the .dwt files in Dreamweaver (within the Templates folder), then closed and restarted Dreamweaver. That should “force” Dreamweaver to recognize the templates so that they show up in the Assets panel, but DW didn't.
I also deleted the DW cache.
What could I do wrong ?

I made a new page from that tmpl and saved it. Closed DW ... opened it ... but nothing.
Also deleted the cachefile while DW was closed.

So I add a signature on the ipad, save and then attach to an email and send. The attachment never comes through. I have tried multiple email addresses. Help? I also tried saving to my docs on adobe.com and then logging in on a computer to retrieve and print, but thats not showing up either.

What is the version of your Adobe Reader?
What is the mail app that you use to read and open email messages and attachments?
Does the problem occur with any PDF documents (for both cases: with or without a signature)? Or just a particular PDF document?

I have deleted images out an email body and foxfire deleded all inages.nothing will come through with the emails. How can I get my pictures back?

There was something in the body of my email and I right clicked on it and clicked on delete image. Foxfire opened a white bar across the top of my screen saying that "Foxfire would delete all of aol 's images and before I realized I could click the undo spot it was gone. * You can see all exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
* You can check the Tools > Page Info > Media tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
