Update APPEARS to be stuck in a loop - Unfortunately, I dismissed the progress window and can’t find how to get it back. But the Error Console keeps showing multiple entries with this message: tycpr is not defined chrome://tycpr/content/tycor.js Line 31
Is it safe to just quit and try to update again after a reboot ?

That is a problem with an extension (tycpr)

You need to install Office on the computer from the installer DVD or disc image you purchased.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

I tried installing Iphoto it said it was downloaded successfully. I still get the error messafe, and can not open any photos of program, any suggestions?

What version of iPhoto do you have on the Macbook and on the iMac? What systems are you running on the Macbook and on the iMac?
Does the message only refer to "a problem" or does it specify what it is?

Iu2019ve gone thru Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction in CIN. But exactly in which field we need to maintain the GL.

You are not giving correct Excise inovice no. in J1IH transaction for cancelling. Because if correct excise invoice number is not given then also system give the same error. So please check the excise invoice number carefully
Please check SPRO => Logistic General => Taxes on Goods movement => India => Outgoing Documents => Specify Default Excise Group and Series Group, whether you have assigned the related G/L Account for the given combination with Excise Invoice Type
You will Check following G/L are maintained or not in "Specify G/L account per excise Transaction"
maintain GL account for ETT ARE1 in table J_1IEXCACC for field Mod.Clearing field name is J_1ICLEAR
Cenvat Suspanse G/L
RG23A BED
RG23A ECS

Also Check following under "Specify Excise account per excise Transaction"

4.3.5 is the current version, so that is the version that iTunes will download, not 4.3.3
In terms of error 3194, have you got the latest version of iTunes on your computer ? - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error3194

After trying EVERYTHING this is the ONLY thing that worked-
I took the USB connector cable out of the USB port it was in, and tried another one on the otherside of my laptop and iTunes was able to discover my phone in recovery mode. My phone was reset and everything is fine ( thank gosh for backup copies!)

Importing into new libaray 24 hours still going?

I am creating a new libaray and have set iphoto to check all the hard drive its 288 gb and I am running lion with latest iphoto I have plenty of hard drive spare.
24 hours later still waiting showing import preparing to import is this right or is it bust ?

all the pictures seem to be in her iphoto but when I search for them I cannot find the actual files anywhere.
In iPhoto 09 or earlier:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). A Finder Window should open with the file selected.
Or
In iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder Window should open with the file selected.

New 5th Gen iPod, 1st time sync 15 hours & still going? What's wrong?

My library is 53GB, is this why it is taking so long? When I had 4th Gen 60GB Photo is took about 3.5 hours 1st time sync. What is going wrong? Please help!

My 8GB of info took my computer 3.5 hours with a USB 1.1 connection (I don't have USB 2.0 on my tower). Are you using an older computer this time? A different USB port than before? When I added songs to my iPod from my laptop, which does have USB 2.0, it went lightning fast... compared to my tower.
It sounds like you've got a USB 1.1 connection, so, doing the math, it should take about 24 hours to transfer 53GB of info... according to my calculations.

Captivate 5.5 for MAC stops recording without any error msg

I have Captivate 5.5 for MAC on a MacBookPro with Lion 10.7.3.
I use the automatic recording for blank project in automatic mode to record an application.
I works OK for the first few slides but then stops without warning.
I have no error message, the red framing of the application continues... but when I close the project I realized I have only between 1 and 10 windows...
I tried to do smaller and smaller project but it stops anyway...
I've checked the zoom on the universal access settings like a user suggested and it's already turned off.
I'm the admin of the machine.
So far, only solution I've read was to switch to the windows version that doesn't have this bug... but I want to use it on my MAC!

Error msg: System Preferences not available on this Mac?

I want to change my screensaver -- I last did it in the Fall of 2010. Now I get this error message? When I use Finder to search for System Preferences, the icon is faint with a strike through it. How can I CHANGE system preferences? Did this happen with last update of the OS? Or when I set up iCloud to use with my iPad2? Just had my iMac in the Apple Store and Genius Bar kept it overnight after checking out fail messages regarding the Drive and directories after running Tech Tool Deluxe. They ran other checks and said it was all clean and the Drive is fine. But what's this new issue?

It sounds like the System Prefs app is damaged.
What version of OSX are you running? Assuming it's not Lion, you should be able to use the Pacifist app to extract it from the Install disc.
Or, reinstall OSX. See Installing the ''combo'' update and/or Reinstalling OSX.

Uninstalled. Still get error msg that replicate endlessly over time or import wizard comes up. How do I exorcise this program & all files from machine?

I've re-installed to try putting all files back in place/overwrite the lingering file hoping that with another uninstall it would take all the files including whatever causes the error. In App Data Local/Roaming I've deleted the folders AMozilla after a restart of the computer because it says files in use when trying to delete any time other than while system is still loading at start up.
Most of the time it's just an error saying Firefox isn't working properly and it replicates itself over time. I have the choice of minimizing and then waiting as each one takes over the taskbar or close each one as they pop up. Every so often it pops up the wizard from first start up after install asking to import favorites from IE/Chrome.

I try to update to Lightroom 5.7 but I get an error that says "Application not found" with an adobe address before it. I am Completely Stumped.
