Updating 5.0.1 9a405 to 9a406 PROBLEM

Hi i have an Iphone4s and im trying to update to 9a406, apparently ive been looking around and to update from 9a405 to 9a406 is just pluging in the iphone to the computer having itunes then update it.
BUT my problem is that each time i do that my iphone verifies with itunes then this message comes up. "The iphone could not be restored. An unkown Error occured. (3194).
I've tried almost everything from clicking the update shift left clicking update and restore.
PS:
Ive already tried turning off my antivirus, my firewall still nothing happens.

This link worked for me.
The problem i was having was 3194. i have a non jailbroken phone and still in the ? why this happened. but i edited the host file and then restarted itunes then i was able to run the normal restore mode.
Now im currently on 5.0.1 9a406 i hope this fixes my no simcard problems.

I uninstalled the software and re installed it again but it didn't fix the problem and its still the same. Help please.

Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

Any Ideas of how to solve this one?

After reading all these posts, one by one did not resolve my problem until I got the very end. Regardless of what step would resolve your problem, these are the steps I would recomment to everyone for a what seems to be a safe and fool-proof upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
1. Stand alone upgrade to the latest Quicktime version
2. Go to control panel and "change" then select repair to the following applications in the order specified by the post on Oct 27. (Notice I skipped Quicktime because it had been upgrade manually,and Bonjour did not have a "repair" option)
iTunes; Apple Software Update: Mobile Device Support; Apple Applications Support
Some of these applications may not appear if they do not apply to your configuration (no iPhone, or no iPad, or other apple devices).
Once all updated, I did not need to restart nor launch any applications, I simply went straight into the 10.5 upgrade, and where it normally got stuck, this time the installation continued for a while longer until it completed successfully.

Since moving to Maverick and the new updated of Keynote, I have a constant problem when typing in a text box, the program crashes. Is there a bug fix for this. Drives me nuts.

Like many who can type quite quickly but at secretarial level, the text box freezes, nothing works and you know what's coming...crash!
This is most annoying. Is there bug fixes for this. Apparently I have the current updates and this problem still exists. Is it a Maverick bug or Keynote.

Since other millions of people updated and do not have that problem - it means one of two.
1.Your friends lied to you and do not have that problem and in that case only your installation of ios7 got corrupted and you need to restore your phone.
2.Your friends didn't lie to you and all 4 of you need to restore phones (that way reinstalling ios 7 properly)
here are instructions for restore and you may have to backup before restore.

My problem is it asks me to sign out and back in every time I try to update ITunes Match. And it won't let you add a new song to a playlist unless it's updated on Match. So every time I add a song I have to sign out and back in just to put it on a playlist. I saw this issue on the internet but no solution.
Very sorry I did iTunes Match. Shuffled my playlists without asking and this additional extra work just to add a song to a playlist. Not impressed - at all.
I do thank you for trying. Surprised Apple doesn't monitor this stuff and step in and provide a fix. Left to our own devices. Thanks Apple!

Move or Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.
