Updating a Sequence To Reflect in Other Sequences

I taped an interview on 2 camera's. I use my Sony FX1 HDV camera for my main HQ audio and 2nd camera, while I use the other camera, Canon 7D, for my First Camera. Then I sync up the Audio in Final Cut.
This weekend I wanted to edit, but I didn't have the Sony to capture the HDV tape with the better audio.
So I got the Canon footage onto my computer. Then, I created a "RAW Footage" sequence and dropped the Canon footage into it. I figured I could cut from this sequence as if it were the raw footage, and then go back and add the better audio track to the sequence.
So I cut from the RAW Sequence and had a few new sequences.
Then I got the HDV tape with audio imported and synched up the audio in the "RAW Footage" Sequence, however, this change does not reflect in the newer sequences.
Is there a way to do this, or do I have to go and synch it all up cut by cut?

I figured out an easy workaround by just cutting and pasting the entire new sequence into the new ones ;P

Database Polling - Using Update a Sequence File - Not working

Hi All,
We need to use the Database Adapter Polling feature to poll a table for inserts and updates. In the database configuration page of "After Read" , we have used "Update a Sequencing File".
But the process is not being triggered. Any one has successfully tried this option.
Do we need to do any additional configurations ?
Please respond. Its urgent.

If this is your first time working with the Property Loader I recommend the following steps:
- Save the Sequence File and go to Tools-> Import/Export Properties…
- Set the Data Location to be a File (You can change it later if you need to use a Database).
- Enter the file path.
- Select a File Format.
- Go to the Properties Tab and from the Available properties list (tree) select your global variable. The global variable should appear in the selected properties list.
- Click the Export Button.
- If you go back to the Source Destination File and click on View File you will notice that the file you selected was generated and that it has a special format.
You will identify the name of your variable under <File Globals> and the variable value under ‘Variable Value’.
Change the variable value to whatever value you want and save the file.
- Now, if you click the Import Button, the tool will get the value from the source file and set the edit-time copy of the sequence global variable to the value you entered in the file.
- Click the Done button and go and check the value of the sequence global variable. The value should be the value you entered in the file.

How can I force update image sequences?

I am using Premiere to composite various image sequences from a 3D program, Blender. Many times I export a draft version from Blender, import the sequence to Premiere, place it in the time line, then I find that I want to make some changes in Blender and re-render some of the frames. Of the frames that I re-render, Premiere only updates some of them.
I did a test where I re-rendered a section with a different background color to the scene. In Premiere it updated the first three frames, then the fourth was the old image, 5th and 6th were new, 7th was old, 8th and 9th were new, and so on. It did this for the entire updated image sequence, using a combination of old and new frames.
I did the above test three times. The first time I saw mixed frames, the second time everything imported fine, the third time I got the mixed frames again.
If I restart premiere, then it goes through the "media pending" screen for all of my media and it then shows the correct updated frames, but that would be inconvenient to have to restart premiere every time I want to see my new frames.
I am using Premiere Pro CS5.0.3, on a 2.66 Ghz Quad-Core Mac Pro with 8GB of RAM. The files are located on an eSATA RAID 5 array.
Is there a way I can force Premiere to update the frames in the image sequences?
Does anyone else have these problems? What do you do when dealing with many image sequences that you update frequently?

Three choices.
1. Don't leave Premiere open while rendering in another
application (this is what I do).
Overwritten files will update when you launch Premiere.
2. Right-click your image sequence in the Project window,
select "Make Offline...>Media Files Remain on Disk>OK.
Then, right-click your image sequence in the Project window,
select "Link Media...
3. Close then re-open your project without exiting Premiere.
File>Close (Ctrl>W), then re-open same project.

Update a sequence

I have 2 DBs that looks exactly the same. They are both production versions, one is online(A) the other(B) is not. A a certian point I will export data from A and import into B. DB A will still run for a week and will of course generate new sequence numbers. After a week I will switch over to DB B, but now the sequence numbers are out of sync. Is there any way I can update a sequence? Something like':
UPDATE sequence_name set sequence_number ='a number'.

Here's another way to do it as demonstrated below:
SQL> create sequence altest start with 1 nocache;
Sequence created.
SQL> select altest.nextval from dual;
NEXTVAL
1
SQL> /
NEXTVAL
2
SQL> alter sequence altest increment by 5; <<< you can use alter instead of drop/create or PL/SQL loop
Sequence altered.
SQL> select altest.nextval from dual;
NEXTVAL

certian point I will export data from A and import into B.If the databases are supposed to be identical have you looked into database cloning instead of export/import. We reload
a test database with production data every month. We used to use export/import which took 2 hours. We now use the
cloning method and it takes 20 minutes to get an exact copy. You do have to be able to shut down the database you're
copying though, which could be a drawback depending on your situation. If you're interested I can post more information
about cloning here.

The problem with submitting a bug report is I don't know how to replicate it.
The java file showed up on the "Referenced Libraries". I removed it from there and it fixed the problem.
If I return it to the classpath via Eclipse it doesn't demonstrate the problem.
I don't know how it got into the classpath to cause this problem. I even tried editing the classpath (which I'm fairly certain was not how the problem was caused) but that didn't replicate the problem.
I didn't check the .classpath to see what the entry was before I removed it via eclipse so I don't know what the entry looked like. The problem wasn't in the version is SVN so I don't know how to find what changes were made.
If you sill want a bug report I can enter one but with out any instructions on how to replicate it.

HI, if I did this, then I believe that I cloud would then hold my info which I don't want. Is that the case? The reason is that I'm an old git, therefore used to not giving out info. Would I be right?

I am not a developer, so pardon me if I misunderstood this question. I thought screens and other repository objects are client independent. That means the change should be evident in all clients without a need to transport.
Is this to do with security by any chance ( though it seems unlikely )? Can the other users see the change in the original client in which the request was made? That should help you determine whether the problem lies with the transport or outside. Also you can check the contents of the transport in SE01 and see if it holds the kind of data that you are expecting it to. I am guessing you have already generated the screen after saving the changes.

I am facing a problem with commandtoolbar button. Consider I am using the application in two browsers say IE9 and Chrome. There is a commandtoolbar button which shows recently saved search for the application. The main problem is when you delete a saved search in one browser it is not refreshing in other browser, it still remains in the other browser even after refreshing the page, I need a solution for this issue i.e if there is a deletion in one browser should be reflected in other browser also.

Price update step in Costing run to other prices probelm - Very urgent ...

Can anyone tell me why does it updates only 1100 materials prices to commercial price though costing has been carried for 7900 materials? I have selected the price to be updated to commercial price 1 and as said above only 1100 only are shown under materials and 6800 materials are shown as still open in my costing run
I have looked into it, it appears to me that its becos of materials without quantity structure, their prices are not getting update to other prices
If anyone has any clue or infact a solution for this issue, please do help me

I think ur reply has answered most of my question, however in my costing run I have selected all the materials in my plant, meaning the materials which are purchased (no quantity structure/raw materials)also. So from ur reply I understand that for the raw materials or materials with no qnty structure the prices are not updated in the material master to other prices but, if it is a std cost estimate, mark, release process then it updates the future, current stnd prices right?
Please confirm me on that, bcos I have used a different costing variant from a regular one that I use for std cost est. I have defined the variant with costing type "ad hoc for commercial price" and with update as "other than std price". I want to make sure is the problem discussed above is due to my costing variant customization or is it bcos in price update function materials with no qnty sturcture are not updated in material master?

Update button code to reflect data into database table?

Hi Everyone,
I have search page and Update page. On clicking on update image of any row in Search page i am able to navigate to Update page with the parameters.
Now after updating the values i need to click on Apply button then the data should be stored to table(database).
What code should i write in Apply button?
Do i need to initialize row? If yes what code and where should i write?

Row initialization not required , you have get the exact row in update page and in ProcessFromRequest of your controller class
you can call the method which is defined in AM to Commit the updated values .
