  • Problem updating Adobe Media Encoder

I need to update AME to work with Premiere Pro CS4.2.1.   I've downloaded the update, but when I try to run it, it says I need Adobe Application Manager.  I downloaded it, but when I try to run Adobe application Manager it says "Updates could not be applied, this patch is not applicable for you"  Can anyone help?

Tim Flippance the Adobe Application Manager manages licensing, activations, and updates of Adobe software.  Please remove your currently installed Adobe Creative software titles using the Programs & Features Control Panel.  Once this is complete I would also recommend running the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find instructions as well as the download at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
Finally once the CC Cleaner Tool has been run you can then reinstall the applications.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files then they can be found at Download CS4 products.

  • Where is Adobe Media Encoder CC

I think after an update, Adobe Media Encoder CC crashes on start-up. It actually crashed my Mac which never ever done it before.
I tried to update and found out that Media Encoder CC is no longer listed as an app.
Is there an application that replaces Media Encoder CC?
    Thanks....

Media Encoder does not show in the update section or download section of CC. It is installed and updated along with other Video tools in CC. Try to manually install the latest update : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5702.

  • Adobe media encoder components have different versions error CS5 (32 bit)

I updated the CS5 suite the other day and all the updates installed fine, except adobe media encoder which said "done with errors" (no indication of what the errors were mind you).
Now, when I open Adobe Media Encoder (CS5) it pops up saying "Adobe Media Encoder components have different versions. Please update Adobe Media Encoder."
This is the 32 bit v of CS5 (so no Premiere or AE) but Adobe Media Encoder is still used to encode flv etc for the web (Flash and Dreamweaver).
The CS4 suite version of Adobe Media Encoder (that does have Premiere and AE) works the same as always. Has anyone else noticed this?

This was a problem with the installer.
We have updated and posted a new version to Adobe.com.
If you still get error on launch, you can download the new patch and install it to fix this issue:
    1.       Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4869
    2.       Download the patch and save it on your Hard drive.
    3.       Unzip the file.
After unzipping the file, you should end up with one installer and two folders:
    4.       Dbl-click on “AdobePatchInstaller.exe”.
This will over write the previous 5.01 patch you installed with new one.
Since we didn't actually change the files inside the patch, but basically fixed the installer, this update has the same update number 5.0.1.
We have also updated the update manager and future automated updates won't have this issue.

Does the AME not support CUDA like Premiere Pro?
It used to in CS6.  It does not in CC7.
Direct export may be the better way to go.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC 7.2.2 Update Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

So, I get this strange error when I try to update AME CC 7.2.2. What to do?
Adobe Media Encoder CC 7.2.2 Update
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

[ Mac 10.9.3 / Indesign CC update fail / Premiere update fail / Adobe Media Encoder 7.2.2 update fail ]
Buuttasin koneen. Sen jälkeen molempien päivitys onnistui.
There's no separate uninstaller for AME. My ID CC and Premiere couldn't be updated (for the AME7.2.2 update). MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework seemed to be the factor.
I uninstalled Premiere (only), after having manually removed MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework from inside AME. After boot I installed it again and voilà, both (ID & Premiere) updates went trough fine. The MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework was on place inside AME too.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC 7.2.2 Update Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M2P28

I have Adobe Media Encoder which is no longer launching or recognised by Adobe App Manager. How cool is that. Can't install trial version of AME. Get the above error when doing so.
Why did AME just stop working?
No updates to either OS or Adobe product....why oh why...I have to export for a SFX spot session & now I have to use Premiere Pro to do it & stop editing!
Any solutions welcome by those who've been through this before.

    Hi Rave
    Thanks for that.
However I'm in the middle of a doco with tight deadlines for festival delivery & I can't afford to reinstall everything again at this point...ideally I'd like to remain on the same version of PPCC without upgrading (& so with it any number of new issues I haven't got time to deal with which would be the case if following your strategy). Better the devil you know & all that.
Can I delete apps using the cleaner tool & then reload 7.2.1 PPCC instead of the latest version? Is AME still working with this version of PPCC? Let me know the workflow & links if possible.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS5 - 5.0.1 update

When I try to update AME CS5 using Adobe Updater, I get this error message:
The following updates were unable to install. If you wish to install these updates, please fix the problems below and retry:
    Adobe Media Encoder CS5 5.0.1
Adobe Media Encoder CS5 has been moved or deleted improperly. Please launch or reinstall the application to update the location and try again. To remove the product from the system, please uninstall product using the aliases under "/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers"
A few problems with this - there isn’t an AME uninstaller alias. Also there isn't an installer on the retail DVD, so I wouldn't be able to reinstall anyway. This is further complicated by the fact that the 5.0.1 update is not available online for download. Maybe I'm missing something here, and this is just a stupid mistake on my part.
I have launched and used AME as well as checking that it is installed correctly (correct location) in my current configuration – still no luck with the auto update.
Is there a way to tell Adobe (or Adobe Updater) the location of AME, so this install will complete successfully?
Has anybody else seen this issue?
Has anybody else resolved this issue?
    Any help is appreciated -
    Jeremiah
    System Config:
    MacBook Pro 5,1 (15-in, late 2008)
    OS 10.6.4
    2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo
    4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB (and GeForce 9400M 256 MB)
Adobe CS5 Master Collection (all current release except AME)
    AME 5.0.0.402 (64bit)

I did install the Adobe Support Advisor before posting. ASA was a little quirky on the Mac as well, but I finally got it to work; however, it reported no issues. Thanks for the suggestion though.
What I ended up doing was moving the AME directory to the root level on the system - and then back to it's original location in the Applications folder (same location it has been in). This must have updated something on the OS side because once I ran the updater again - all updates installed successfully.
I'm not sure how the issue came about, but it appears that the OS or Adobe had some incorrect information in a config or installer log file somewhere and by moving the folder out and then back it was resolved/updated.
    thanks -

  • Adobe Media Encoder update is available for this version

When I exporting a sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, there comes a screen appears and indicates that "Adobe Media Encoder update is available for this version."
I go to the page "www.adobe.com / go / updates and downloads" Adobe Media Encoder CS 5.5.1 for windows 64-bit "
Subsequently I start the download file and get a message "Some updates were not installed"
How do I fix my problem and get the latest update installed, or get Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 for not knowing modest and the available update for "Adobe Media Encoder"

I selected run as administrator, no effect.
I am using version 5.0.3, on win7  when i select help and update the adobe application manager reads "your aplications are all up-to-date", i would assume this is the current version.
No matter what i try to export from any project regardless of codec or output i receave this message
"an adobe media encoder update is availiable for this version of premierepro. to download the latest update, pleas run  the adobe updater form the help menue orvosot http://adobe.com/go/updates."
I went to the help menue and selected help and i still get the adobe application manager "your aplications are all up-to-date"

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0.1) update available

The Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0.1) update is available.
It has bug fixes and some new features.
You'll see from the post above that one of the features is left somewhat unexplained for the moment. That's because we wanted to get the bug fixes for Adobe Media Encoder out as soon as possible, rather than hold this update and wait for it to coincide with certain other events. Stay tuned. We'll have more information about that new feature quite soon.

I'm having a problem with Media Encoder 6.0.1 - it will encode for a few minutes, then slow down and sit, and then stop with an error (Error compiling movie.  Unknown error).  This happens with both h.264 and MPEG2, exporting 1080p.  This is with Windows 7, and the Task Manager shows the used memory increase and the CPU usage increase when ME starts, and when it slows down the CPU usage stops and the memory usage goes down.
(When it stops with the error it makes a loud noise, like a goat dying!  Must be the programmers idea of how to notify there is an error!)
This is happening on two different computers running Production Premium CS6 , and is pretty consistent between the two.  I don't know if ME 6.0 had this issue, only had CS6 a few days before the 6.0.1 update and may not have exported a file.  There have been no encoding issues at all with CS5 and CS5.5.
Any ideas what is causing this - something in the setup?  A bug?

  • Adobe Media Encoder 4.2 update forces Frame Blend

I didn't really want to repost, but I felt the title and info in my previous post were innacurate (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2576915#2576915)
In my previous post, I thought Premiere was to blame, but after a few reinstallations, I've found that the update to AME 4.2 causes the problem.
I've found that Adobe Media Encoder 4.2 forces Frame Blend, even if it has been disabled on each clip of the timeline, when the frame rate of your sequence settings differ from the frame rate of the target format.
    Example: Exporting from 24fps Desktop -> MPEG2-DVD (23.976fps)
Adobe Media Encoder 4.1 does not have this behavior.  I've reverted to 4.1 for the time being.
If anyone has a workaround for this, or any other info on this problem, please share.

I am having a similar problem.  Is it just me or is it Adobe?  I have had so many problems with Adobe Premiere CS4.  It may have also been exacerbated by the fact the I updated to 4.2.1 (mostly in part to determine if another issue was resolved with this update).
I have some editing background in the Windows Movie Maker and iMovie world, and was excited to use Adobe Premiere, but I have had nothing but problems.
Everything that I am trying to do, looks really washed out, and renders the video useless.
I am trying to do what you just described, with speeding up and slowing video to match the computer actions with the person's voice.  I am capturing video using CamStudio and Helix YV12 CODEC, and tried to use HuffyUV lossless compression: using DV-NTSC as the standard format.
Then I go to compose my video, and output the video, but the video is crap.  It sounds like the Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder are having major problems.
I tried rendering it to Uncompressed Microsoft AVI with UYVY @ 100% quality, and tried to compare it with Windows Media at the highest quality, and it is frustrating.  When I hear that Frame Blend is being applied, it seems to look worse.
    I am running:
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.33 GHz (which is kind of slow)
8 GB RAM, 2 SATA 1 TB Drives WD Caviar Green (a little substandard)
    Windows XP 64-bit
Let me know there is another process that I am missing.  I don't really want to give up on Adobe Premiere, but from a end-user standpoint, I will have to revert back to using WMM due to time constraints.  I want to take full advantage of all of the editing and effects capabilities of Premiere, but can't because I can't even produce a decent export to be used by any other program (and given that every conversion will in some way affect the quality of the output, I want to reduce any intermediate steps).
    Arrggh!!!
