Updating all apps at once major problem

My apps do not work because I decided to update them all at one. Help how do I deal with this?

Can you be more specific?  Do any still work?  What about the ones that weren't changed?
There shouldn't be a problem due to updating all at once.  They are actually queued and download as many as it can do at once. I do that all the time.

  • ITunes 11 for Mac "Update All Apps" grayed out, requiring relaunch to update again

On iTunes 11.2.1 (1) "Update All Apps" grays out after I update once. I need to relaunch iTunes to get it to be clickable again. I am definitely logged in, etc., so it seems like a bug with iTunes, yes?

The last several versions of iTunes have had this bug. The "Update All Apps" works once, and then it's greyed out after that until you quit and relaunch.
As a workaround, you can click the first app, hold down the shift key, and click the last app to select them all. Then right click on one of the apps and select "Update X Apps."

  • Hi tried to update several apps at once no they are stuck on installing.i can't delete them or open them.any suggestions?

Hi tried to update several apps at once and now they are stuck on installing.I can't open or delete them. Any suggestions ?

Here are a number of things that have worked in the past that you can try. If you already tried something in here, just ignore it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • What happened to Update All Apps???

I can no longer select UPDATE ALL apps on my iPhone. For some insane reason, if I have 4 updates, I have to go to the App store, select an app, click on Free, click on install, then watch it start loading the program, then go BACK to the app store, and repeat the process for every app?
And I no longer get update notifications or options in iTunes? Is this for real??

Yes, now none of my applications will open. The application attempts to open, the goes back to the desktop screen. I had this happen once before, but when I "updated all" it fixed the problem. Now non of my applications work!!
I have attempted deleting all applications and reloading them, but no dice. I says I have already loaded installed the applications. I reinstall, but it still does not work.
Anyone have a solution for this?

  • Update all apps does not work

Since the previous version of iTunes and including the new one I just installed (11.3) doe not work as expected, or as it used to. When I check for my installed Apps, and there are more than one app to update, I click the option in the bottom right that says 'Update all apps', but when you do that, it only updates the first one, and you then have to click it again for each individual app. What is the purpose of an 'Update ALL apps' if it doesn't do that?
Also, why has the option to sign in and stay signed in gone? I used to be able to do that, so when I opened iTunes I was automatically logged in and could continue, but now I have to login each time I open iTunes. This is annoying.
    Thanks for the help.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

  • Folders disappear after updating all apps

Spend all this time organizing apps in folders, then as soon as I "update all apps" the folders disappear and the apps are in alphebetical order again. This has happened several times. Also some of the apps will be gone because there are too many to fit without folders. What good is the folder feature if they won't stay there? Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug with i0S4? I have a 2nd gen. Ipod touch. The folder feature is supposed to work with it.

    Painthead--
I have a 2nd Gen iPod touch. The folders feature does work with it; I've had no issues...yet.
Try this: once you have moved apps into folders--before doing the update all apps--let the iPod synch. You then should be able to update apps to your hearts content, because both the iPod and iTunes understand your folders.

  • BUG WITH "UPDATE ALL APPS":

I have taken notice that in the last two iTunes Updates, it has affected the function of the “Update All APPS.”  If there are APPS to be updated and you click on the button “Update All APPS” it may update just one of the APPS and does not continue updating the remaining APPS.  I either have to click on each APP individually, and choose UPDATE or EXIT iTunes and reopen it and sign in again.  Even in doing so; iTunes may only UPDATE one APP and then stop; other times it will continue to finish the updating the remaining APPS.
This can be quite frustrating especially when you have to go to each individual APP and choose UPDATE.   I think this is a bug that needs to be examined in iTunes.  I have uninstalled iTunes in the correct steps and reinstalled iTunes, but the problem still continues to happen.
I am sure that you want your software to be consistent and felt I should bring this to your attention.
Thank you for reviewing my feedback.  If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It's still there for me (iOS 5.0.1), I used it a couple of hours ago.
Have you tried closing the App Store app completely and then re-opening it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • HT5137 Does closing apps save battery life? If so, is there a way to close all apps at once?

Does closing apps save battery life? If so, is there a way to close all apps at once?

There is no way to close all apps at once. When you leave an app , most apps stop working immediately. A few apps will continue to complete the task they were working on. Mail is an example of that. There is a short time limit though after which the app stops running and the state you left it in is stored. Quitting apps does not increase battery life.

  • Itunes crash during update all apps or even a few apps at a time in windows

My itunes crashes when I click "update all apps" or even when I just update manually a few apps at a time.  Its not related to the version of itunes it seems the issue has occured during the passed few versions.  I've tried logging off the store account and relogging in.  I've reinstalled itunes.  I've uninstalled all apple programs from the pc and itunes and reinstalled everything fresh. I've deleted the library files and let itunes create new ones and the issue still persists. Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • "Update All Apps" in iTunes only downloads one at a time.

From Library / Apps (left pane), clicking "Update All Apps" button (bottom-right), I'm prompted for my Apple ID password, I enter it, it's accepted…and only one app update downloads. I click the button again, and the next downloads.
    Why don't all updates download?
    iTunes for Mac 11.2.2 (3)
    2011 13" MacBook Pro
    Mac OS X 9.3 Mavericks

With some notable exceptions like audio apps that actually run in the background, most apps on the task bar are not actually running.  They are not actually doing anything, just sitting there in a suspended state until the next time you execute them by bringing them up on the screen.  There really is no need nor reason to be constantly clearing them away.

  • Update all apps automatically

Why is it any alternative to use update all apps automatically in iOS like the function in Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8?

No and that is exactly my question, why can not update apps in iOS as it goes with Mac Mountain Lion Power Nap updates?

    Hi downeyjdm,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
To resolve this issue, I would suggest updating your iOS to the latest version, which is 7.0.3.

  • Update all apps missing

Suddenly "update all apps" is missing?? Causing me to have to update updated apps individually. Don't know where it went! But updating updated apps individually is not a fun thing to do. How this could "disappear" I find rather strange.

It's still there for me (iOS 5.0.1), I used it a couple of hours ago.
