Updating Bridge for CS6

Updates are downloading but it asks me to close Bridge (Bridge.exe) but program is not open and running. What to do?

Bridge may have been launched at system startup. Check to see if Bridge has been set to start at with system start. Uncheck Preferences > Advanced > Start Bridge at Login, then reboot computer.
Or (windows) open Task Manager, click on the Processes Tab and look for any instance of bridge.exe. If found, close.

It comes with every install of Bridge. Nothing else required. You jsut need to enable it from within the program's options, if you want to use it.

I've tried expanding the panel and looked in the drop down menu and I cn't find the output panel to create a contact sheet.
What else can I do to find the output panel?

In Bridge CS6 look under Window>Workspace>Output.
If your using Bridge CC, then it's been removed, maybe to be added in later with an optional download.

UPDATE PROBLEM FOR CS6

The Adobe update icon on the top bar of my Mac appeared and I updated my version of CS6 - but when I did, it switched me to a trial period of Extended CS6. When I open Photoshop, the Extended icon appears at the start up and it keeps telling me I only have __ number of days left on my trial period. I need to know what to do to get rid of the Extended Trial Version and just go back to the regular version of CS6. This all happened after I downloaded the update. Why did this happen and how do I get rid of Extended?

Unless you uninstall and tell the uninstaller to delete preferences -- all your prefs and content will remain in place.

Bridge for Mac 2.0 issues? xperia play

I updated bridge for mac to 2.0 but it can not find my phone if in media transfer mode. it will find it in mass storage mode, and offers to update software. it then instructs me to disconnect and switch to media transfer mode. i do this, reconnect, but will not find phone. suggestions?
i have tried reboot phone, computer, bridge etc etc.

This is really odd. I'm trying the Play right now and it's connecting and working fine in MTP mode.
Don't you get any error messages or anything, it simply ignores the phone? Do you know which Mac OS version you are using?
I'm somewhat out of ideas on this one since you have tried all the obvious, but here are a few:
- Make sure you have an SD Card inserted in the phone (but I guess you do since I don't think MSC would work otherwise)
- Android File Transfer can sometimes conflict with SE phones. In case you have AFT installed, make sure it doesn't autostart when the phone is connected
- iPhoto could previously conflict with Bridge as well (although that should have been sorted with the 2.0 release). Make sure that iPhoto doesn't autostart when the phone is connected.
- There are some black magic stuff that has worked before if the MTP connection on the phone is the problem, including removing and readding the SD Card or go to the Media browser and simply browse through some music just before you connect.
Also note that, if you're only interested in the update, you can always try the File->Restore... option where you can manually select which phone you have and follow the instructions to update but ***please note that this will probably erase all content on your phone ***

When will AUSST for CS6 be available?

We are starting to provision Adobe CS6 out to our users. We want to have an in-house Adobe Update Server for CS6. We have one for CS5 and CS5.5 but are not able to find the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST) for CS6. I'm assuming this is going to be version 3? When will the new version of AUSST be released?

Please use the AUSST available on http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html. You will be able to setup update server for both CS55 as well as CS6 products.
Although AUSST technote doesnt explicitely mention CS6 support, you can use the same tool for syncing all the updates - CS5, CS55 and CS6.
please let me know if you see any issue in using AUSST for setting up CS6 updates server.

I am using Mac OSX 10.10.1 (memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, graphics Nvidia GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB)
and my version of Photoshop is CC.
I ran into the same problem: I am able to place and view Blur Gallery pins but the adjustment wheel or outer control arounf the pin that allows you to tweak the blur value disappeared after being initially available. Additionally, the placed pin or pins appear to flicker on screen (while in blur gallery mode) until committing the change with the OK button. I have tried restarting both the computer and Photoshop, as well as what some other users have suggested such as View>Show>Edit pins turned on. Nothing has helped so far. I am still able to adjust the blur amount from the Blur Tools slider. thank you.

Photoshop Bridge CS6 is not operating properly after most recent update to Photoshop CS6.

I updated Photoshop CS6 (through Adobe Creative Cloud) a few days ago. Since the update, Bridge does not show changes in the images when viewing the thumbnails. Opening in Camera Raw does show the changes. But this outcome negates the purpose of Bridge. I want to see the changes made (to the Camera Raw files) in the "filmstrip" thumbnails without having to open each file individually.
Other problems exist. The icons for rotating the images are grayed-out. Even worse, the vertically oriented images are shown as being horizontally-oriented.
Can anyone offer help on this problem?

I am on the Adobe Download Assistant. It was stuck at "less than a minute" for an hour and a half, showing that the installation was basically done, since the installation bar was full. But it was stuck. Now it has stopped all together, and is restarting the download from scratch.
Apparently it does not save the download, or only saves a small portion.

It is at 85.6 MB, even though a short time ago it was close to 99.9% done with the 6,352 MB download.
My internet connection is fine, all is working, and I am able to browse, etc.
I have been careful to keep activity minimal on the computer, so as to avoid conflicts.
The conflicts are with the Adobe Download Assistant.
I amabout ready to just give up, and look for alternatives.
Please help.

ACR 7.4 update for CS6

Updater mechanism (CS6) is not seeing the available ACR 7.4 update. Any recommendations for access to the update? Running Mac OS X 10.8.3. Upon upgragding to CS6, Adobe Application Manager stopped finding available updates. I have had to manually update Photoshop/Bridge ever since the CS6 upgrade. "All applications are up-to-date" has been the only message received when searching for updates.

Opened CS6 13.0. Checked for updates. Application Manager found updates for Bridge, Ext. Mgr., Photoshop and Camera Raw.

You may need to purge your Bridge cache for the folder with Mark II raws in it using:
Bridge / Tools / Cache / Purge Cache For Folder current-folder-name
I can see Mark II files in Bridge 5.0.2 for CS6 after installing the ACR 8.8 update, but I didn't try viewing thumbnails in the folder before I had ACR 8.8 so there were no cached "cannot read this file" thumbnails..
If purging the cache and letting it rebuild doesn't work check to see what version of ACR Bridge has by using ridge / Edit / Camera Raw Preferences... (that's the Windows menu path). Here is what I see:

This will open the Phone Software Restore window with the 3 sections for Start, Prepare and Update.
