Updating CF 7.0.0 to CF 7.0.2 Server

I'm currently running CF 7.0.0 server. Can I still get it updated to CF 7.0.2? I could not find the update anywhere in this site. Please help me with this.

That is a familiar issue. ColdFusion MX7 had long reached its end-of-life. Adobe has the unfortunate habit of removing the download links to old ColdFusion versions from the web. Contact Adobe Support for help.

It seems that the Long datatypes in Oracle have a lot of restrictions. According to
this blog:LONG and LONG RAW columns cannot be used in distributed SQL statements.
In that case, you should update the long raw column on the Oracle side. You can try to use openquery as Rick post above to send the SQL statment to Oracle and execute.

Access is not inserting, updating or deleting records in my database table on the server

I am having a problem with an application I developed using Dreamweaver 8 and Access 2000 several years ago which is no longer working correctly. The problem is that Access is not inserting, updating or deleting records in my database table on the server but is reflected in changes to my Web site. I used the Dreamweaver server behaviors: insert record, update record and delete record to make the changes to my Access table on the server. My Access table on the server shows all of the records I inserted or updated in the past, but not any of the newly inserted on updated records.

No, that has nothing to do with your problem. Let's make sure I understand the symptoms.
1) Your site is online at a remote host.
2) You use a dynamic page in your online site to update a database record (insert, delete, or update)
3) The update then appears correctly on your dynamic content page.
4) You download the mdb and it appears to not have any of the upates you just made.
Please correct any of these statements if they are wrong.
If the above is correct, then you must be looking at a cached mdb, or the mdb you are looking at is in the wrong location. Do this: search your entire drive for copies of the mdb, including in the Windows temp directories which is likely where the cached copy is located. Delete any extra copies and download again.

Can't install update to Corel Painter because it is from an unidentified server

Hi,
I had to do a clean install for my macbook pro. After I installeed "Painter 12 " from the disc it immediatley crashed. I went on line to Corel.com and found the series of updates that I need to insstall, howerver the OSX installer keeps thelling me that I can't install the update to Corel Painter because it is from an unidentified server.
The updated version runs fine on my Mavericks OSX updated iMac, so I ned to find a way to have the inatller work on the macbookpro.

Windows 8.1 Update - issues deploying printers via GPO from a 2012R2 Print Server

I am trying to deploy a single printer to Windows 8.1 clients in a K-12 environment. We have about 1200 laptops and about 25% of those laptops are installing the printer. Several different users can log on and the printer may or may not be there. The printer
is being deployed to the Computer not the User. If the printer was successfully installed shouldn't the printer be available immediately after logging in with different AD accounts? Sometimes it shows up 10mins later as if it needed to install it again. I
read the changes from v3 to v4 printing in Windows 8, Ive checked the event log errors, printer shares, etc. Deploying Printers to Windows 8.1 clients is poor at best even when it supposed to be easier for IT to manage. Also I was under the impression that
Windows 8.1 clients do not attempt to downloads drivers from a windows print server anymore as they opt to use a v4 print class driver.
Environment Details:
Windows 2012R2 Printer Server all patched, Windows 8.1 all patched, AD users are identical as well as the computers (reside in the same OUs) Printer is deployed to the computers, Point and print restrictions is completely disabled. Restarting the print spooler
on the client has little to no effect. Computers connect wirelessly to the network and print server is in the same building. Started pushing to the user as well to see if it helps. Windows 7 clients are unaffected and get the printer consistently.
Errors:
The print spooler failed to download and import the printer driver from \\Server into the driver store for driver KONICA MINOLTA C652SeriesPS. Error code= 800f0242.

Intermittend DNS resolution, timeserver, group policy updates errors in client logs in Win 2012 R2 single server environement

We recently switched hardware and server software Win SBS 2008 to 2012R2 for a small network roughly 40 clients (Win7 Pro / Win 8.1 Pro) about 16 running concurrently at a given time and one network printer with the printer queue residing on the DC as well.
I read that a single server environment might not be ideal in particular no fail-over but that is an accepted risk in this particular network here.
Errors:
Error 1043: Timeout during name resolution request
Error 1129: Group policy updates could not be processed due to DC not available
Error 5719: Could not establish secure connection to DC, DC not available
Occasionally but disappears after a while
Error 134: As a result of a DNS resolution timeout could not reach time server
Symptoms
On Win 7 Clients
Network shares added through Group Policy will not show sometimes
Network shares disconnect (red X) and when accessed return access authorization error after one or two clicks on the share finally grant access again
When the issue with accessing network shares occurs, it usually also affects Internet access meaning a 'server not responding' error appears in the browser windows when trying to open just any web page
nslookup during the incident returns cannot resolve error
ipconfig on client shows correct default router (VDSL Router) and DHCP / DNS Domain Controller
Also, the Win system log shows the above errors during these incidents, however, the nuimber of incidents vary from 20-30
On Win 8.1 Clients
Same as above with the slight variation for network shares apparently due to Server 2012 and Win 8.1 clients managing drive shares differently. However, network share refresh does not work with this clients. In most cases only a gpupdate /force returns
drive shares but usually only for the active session. After logoff / logon the shares are gone again.
The issue does appear to be load related since it occurs even if there are only one or two workstations active.
Server Configuration
Dell R320 PowerEdge 16GB / 4TB 7200RPM RAID10 / GBitEthernet
Zyxel 1910-48 Port Switch
VDSL 50Mbps Down / 20Mbps Up
Since the DC is the only local DNS and there are no plans to add another one or move DNS to another server, the DNS server is configured with this own address as preferred DNS with three DNS forwarders 1) VDSL Router 2) ISP DNS1 3) ISP DNS2
Currently only one Network card is active for problem determination reasons.
There appears to be no consensus concerning IPV6 enabled or disabled, I tried both with no apparent effect
I have set all network cards server and client to Full Duplex and the same speed, also disabled Offload functions within the adapter settings. Some but no consistent improvements.

DNS server scavening not enabled
Root hint server XYZ must respond to NS queries for the root zone
More than one forwarding server should be configured (although 3 are configured)
NIC1 should be configured to use both a preferred and alternate DNS (there is only one DNS in this network)
I have found some instructions to apply changes to the clients through a host file but I would rather like to understand whether this DNS response time issue can be resolved on the server for example timing setting perhaps. Currently the DNS forwarders are
set to 3 second.
Since a few people have reported issues with DNS but most are working with multi DNS, DC environment I could not really apply any suggestions made there. perhaps there is anyone like me who is running a single server who has overcome or experience the same
issues. Any help would be appreciated

Windows update quits working giving me access error when installing SQL Server 2014...

I am at my wits end. I've been developing on Windows for 20 years but have never run across something like this. On Windows 7 Pro I need to install the SQL Server 2014 demo (SQLServer2014-x64-ENU) with the SQL Server 2012 community data mgmt
package demo (SSDTBI_VS2012_x86_ENU) to develop my MSBI/SSIS skills. Somewhere along the line one of the prerequisite updates causes the Windows update process to quit working giving me and error code beginning with 8 (sorry didn't write it down, stupid)
that says I don't have permissions to update. Have not been able to isolate it farther than that. Have done all the fixes I've been able to find online and none of them have worked. For whatever reason, when I install the same thing under
VMware it's runs fine. I've had Microsoft log onto my machine and he told me I needed to buy a $99 piece of software to fix the problem. At this point I'm more than ready to do so.

I do not understand and never seen a log that tell you what to buy or what it cost.
according to your explanation I would probably try to restore to point in time before the first installation which star the problem. If you do not have a backup then it is a great lesson for life :-)

How do I get help when no updated browser can load a particular site,"can't find server,"

In recent weeks, possibly coinciding with updates in Firefox (running 3.6.10), Safari and iTunes, I have only received the prompt, "can't find server" when attempting to connect to the site below. Others can get it on their computers in other places, and my iPhone can access when on 3G, but our network here seems affected because all the computers [All macs, some laptops and some desktops, running on OS 10.5.8] here receive this message. I used to be able to go to this site, a radio station, and stream audio or download podcasts. My ISP ran a ping test to the site's server and said that went through, but the browsers don't seem to be able to make the transformation to anything I can read. What kind of a problem is this? Apple was no help either.

Well, it's very interesting that without my doing anything else, last Friday, kcrw.com mysteriously APPEARED when I went to it. This happened in Safari, too. It loads and I can stream the audio (with the Flash update). No explanation, really.
I had checked the protocols, but everything was default. It took all week for the change; so I can't believe that my tinkering (which was really only checking and doing nothing) was the cause of the reappearance.

You may have installed an extension that made changes to the connection settings.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If your problem occurred after updating your iPhone to iOS 7 and if you have Updated to iOS 7 directly from your iPhone then I would recommend you to take a backup of all your data on your computer and then Restore your iPhone to Factory settings from your Computer through iTunes. To restore your iPhone through iTunes once you connect your iPhone to your computer you should be able to see your ip hone in iTunes on your computer and then select your iPhone and you should see Update/Restore and Backup/Restore. You can first click on backup and let the backup complete (you can see the progress of the backup on top of your itunes screen) and after the backup is completed disconnect your iPhone from computer and then Turn Off your iPhone Completely, Once your iPhone is turned off Press and keep holding the Home button which is located at the bottom of your iPhone Screen and now without releasing the Home button connect your iPhone back to the Computer and you should see a Message on your Computer saying iTunes has detected iPhone in Recovery Mode ( you can release the Home button once you see this Message) Now you can click on Restore ( this will Restore your iPhone to Factory settings) let the Restore complete as this may take some time to complete which depends on your Internet speed and Computers performance. Once the Restore is completed your iPhone will restart and again get connected to itunes on your computer. And it should give you a page where it says Setup as New iPhone or Restore from backup, so you can select Restore from Backup and click continue ( your backup should get restored to your iPhone and your iPhone will restart. Once your iPhone restarts you should see a welcome screen on your iPhone and by following some basic steps you should be able to setup your iphone for first use. Update kernel steps for IDES 4.7 - Windows - MS SQL SERVER 2000

Hello,
Concerning updating the kernel - for IDES 4.7, Windows, SQL SERVER 2000 - is there a way to locate exactly the.SAR files - for the database dependent & database independent parts - which are compatible with the used SAP version.
Also, does updating the kernel involve only the following:
- Downloading the .SAR file.
- Taking a backup copy of the exe/run folder's content.
- Stopping the SAP system and all related services.
- Unpacking the .SAR files using the SAPCAR utitilty,
i.e. are there any specific steps to be done after the unpacking ?

I guess You want to upgrade kernel from 6.20 to 6.40.
Go to service.sap.com -> downloads -> SAP Support Packages -> Search for SP and Upgrades -> enter "kernel 6.40" and follow the link "kernel 6.40 32-BIT".
On next window choose from location :SAP KERNEL 6.40 \ Windows Server \ Database independent following SARs (title):
-      enq
-      disp+work package
-      dsrlib
-      enserver
-      librfc
-       MMC (optional)
-      Kernel Part I (for Basis 640/620/610) Q1/2007 (very important)
-       saposcol
From location:SAP KERNEL 6.40 \ Windows Server \ MS SQL Server choose following SARs:
-      Database Library
-      R3LOAD
-      R3load Control
-       Kernel Part II (for Basis 640/620/610) Q1/2007 (very important)
Unpack it to newKernel directory and copy it to \exe\run directory.
Next step Frank Deijkers already wrote.
On the end of upgrade go to \exe\run catalog and run sapstartsrv.exe program for registering new service and COM library.

No update of Business Explorer 3.50 and SCM via Installation Server 6.40

Dear all
We use SAP Installation Server 6.40 to deploy SAP Front End 6.40 and updates. For new installations, target systems will get the latest version of SAP GUI 6.40 (PL 27), Business Explorer 3.50 (PL 13) and Supply Chain Management add-on (PL 6).
On existing installations only SAP GUI will be patched resp. updated. Business Explorer 3.50 and Supply Chain Management add-on will not be patched by Installation Server. We have checked this by local installation of patch (patch level 13, your present patch level 4). What is going wrong? Has anyone a hint how I can solve this problem?

Viewing the Log
Use
You can check the installation by viewing the log file sapsetup.log. The log file can be found in:
C:\WINDOWS\ under Windows XP
C:\WINNT\ under Windows 2000
The most recent log has no number. The older logs are numbered. The higher the number, the older the log. Each time new log is generated, each of the log numbers is incremented by 1.
Procedure
1. Run saplogvw.exe from the server, to start the SAPSetup Log Viewer.
2. Enter the path and filename of the log file.
3. Choose Finish.
The log file is displayed. Errors are colored red. Warnings are colored blue.
Also run this in command line
sapsetup.exe /check

Running 3.6.13 on MAC OS 10.6.7. Firefox wants to install updates but updater never connects. It's in eternal "connecting to server" mode. Now I get a message that says I don't have permission to make updates on this computer, I'm the only user. Ideas?

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

Update CF 7.0.0 to CF 7.0.2 Server

I'm currently running CF 7.0.0 server. Can I still get it updated to CF 7.0.2? I could not find the update anywhere in this site. Please help me with this.

CF7 is so old, I doubt you'll find it anywhere on adobe.com. You might find it on someone's FTP site, but then you'd risk getting a copy that's been tampered with.
If you are looking for a fully functional CF server, I know it isn't cheap. But if you're just in need of a developer CF server, you can download the current and install it as a developer system for free.
