Updating credit card info

Sorry Skype, your billing interface pretty much sucks.  FYI, my current subscription expires in November, and the credit card you have on record for it is no longer valid, because my provider decided to reissue the card with another number.  NOTHING I tried on your site allowed me to update the card for my Skype account.  NOTHING that the support person (in the Chat session) could do made any difference.  Her final suggestions were to completely clear out my cache and/or use another browser (Internet Explorer implied - guess what... I use LINUX!). I give up.  I don't use this service enough to justify the headaches.  If you can't fix it so I can update my CC information easily, then come November, you can say sayonara (sp?) to my yearly contribution to your income.

That silly message - sometimes it's not really the card number, it's soemthing else.
Try filling everything out on the page, ever single field.
Then it might work.

    Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
    If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
    Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
    I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.

    I can't update the credit card info. It shows "STORE_ACCOUNT_CALL_FAILED".
    Even the chat support can't help, forcing me to call number which I can't make a call from Thailand.
    Please find the solution.

    The new card has not been updated yet in the system, the card which was used to purchase will be charged on the planned bill date.
    Would you please try a different browser and then update the credit card information.

    Skype, get with it!  There have been several threads pointing out there is no way to update credit card expiration date.  We keep getting these warning emails that account (along with accumulated credit) is about to expire due to expired credit card info.  But having chased every blind alley in "My Account" and elsewhere, there is absoluetly no way to do this.  The so called "solutions" from prior forum posts refer to an interface that does not exist - at least for some users.  Specifically, it describes a path that starts with click "subscriptions" but this option does not always exist.
    Very unhappy with web services that waste time due to lousy coordination within the organization that does not keep instructions in synch with actual product evolution.
    Fix this, please!

    Cannot update my current card.
    Cannot delete my expired card.
    Was compelled to add another bankcard just to keep the account current.
    Support pages reference menus which do not appear under any menu sequence.
    Using Mac OSX 10.6.8  with Firefox browser.

    Hi there, I am trying to update my credit card info in the iTunes Store and I get the message: Please contact iTunes support to complete this transaction. Does anyone know what is going on?

    On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your iPhone then try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and select 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

  • Can't update credit card info to make purchase

    Every time I attempt to purchase I get a message saying my card has expired. I follow the link to "billing info" and update it -- with no errors. It spits me back out to the store, but I still get the same message when I try to purchase again.
    I have also tried updating my card info through the "My Account" section. And have tried different credit cards.
    For some reason it seems that the purchasing engine is just not picking up the updated info properly.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Turned out to be a problem changing my address. Perhaps wasn't recognizing my new address.
    I eventually was able to update my address with Apple MyInfo (outside of iTunes -- same login). It successfully updated iTunes. Then I was able to put the correct card info in.

    I just bought a new Ipad 2.  All was well until I went to download a free app.  Itunes prompted me to sign in and verify billing info.  Now, Itunes will not let me update my credit card info or download apps, even though I have credit balance on my account.  I have sent four messages to Itunes support with NO help.  So much for 24 hour response time.

    If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then they are the only people that can help you, we are fellow users here on these forums we won't know why you are getting the message. How are you trying to contact them ? Are you using : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ (click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page)

    I just took a peek at your account and see that the renewal was processed on the 18th. It looks like you're all set until next August.
    However, you can update your credit card info by logging in to www.adobe.com, clicking My Plans & Products, and then clicking Manage Plan next to your subscription.
